Perfect for 2008 Tundra

This adapter works perfectly for matching the aftermarket head unit to the stock Tundra wiring harness. I connected the parking brake wire directly to the ground wire in this harness to allow the DVD player to be played without being stopped. Not that one should watch movies while driving but passengers can. Works great.

This product is exactly what I needed to instal a double din head unit in my mothers 2003 highlander u do have to cut some of the bracket off for it to bolt on to the headunit but that was easy with a dremel and it looks great filled in the holes on either side of the headunit nicely I would deffinetly recomend this product

Very straightforward

Correct fit for my 2004 Camry. At first I worried that the connector was wrong, given that the original head unit connects to a different shape connector. For whatever reason, Toyota uses a different connector at the head unit than at the point along the harness that this adapter connects to. That connection point was almost hidden beneath the head unit but I found it just before giving up hope. If it's missing anything, it'd be an adapter to convert the two antenna cables to one for better use on an aftermarket head unit.

Some Modification for My Install

Had to clip some portion of mounting surface for 2005 Matrix. Doesn't fit perfect on head unit, but certainly fills what would otherwise be unacceptable gaps. A must purchase accessory for the unit I purchased.

Perfect fit for my Jensen CAR710W in my 2003 Corolla

Made the installation of my Jensen head unit super easy and everything functions flawlessly.

The only issue I had is the harness for the rear speakers (smaller connector) had a second Left Rear Negative wire instead of a Right Rear Negative wire. The color and label was incorrect, but I just crimped and heat shrinked it into the RR- on the head unit harness. No further issues, and no stars taken off for a simple mistake. I can only imagine someone else out there has two Right Rear Negative wires in their harness instead of a Left Rear Negative wire and I feel a sense of comradery with them.

The Metra 70-1761 was easy enough that the instructions on the back were irrelevant to me. The wires came with a stamp on them telling you which wire was which and where it goes. Looking at the adapter and to tell where it goes allowed me to figure it out fast. Overall I give it a 9.5/10
