Perfect so far.

Definitely worth seeing about getting it installed by a pro. I did it myself after my local shop quoted me really high. I got it installed, but it took some fair amount of trial and error, along with the better part of a day. The product is a great value for the price, but it came with very little useful directions, which I expected.

As far as the functionality goes, it works like a dream. I only hooked up the headlight part, and it is great. You don't realize how awesome auto-headlights are until they aren't there.

Directed 545T Headlight controller

This product came as expeded, and looked new. Everything was included, and no parts were missing. I installed it fairly quickly, and the instructions were also fairly easy to follow. I have installed alot of electronics in vehicles, and often do custom work. After 1 week of use, one relay inside the unit stopped working, so the headlights didn't come on automatically. I did some rewiring, and got it to work again. After another week, the unit stopped functioning all together. Would be nice if the durabilty was more than 2 weeks.

Inexpensive Luxury

I haven't touched my headlight switch in months. The 545t turns on the headlights as daytime running lights for safety whenever the car is running and turns on my parking lights when it starts to get dark or anytime my wipers are activated.

Works well, relaible, easy to install

This is the 2nd time Ive used the 545T. The first one was installed about 2 years ago in my Range Rover. (That's right. An $80,000 vehicle that comes with no automatic headlights... and no auto climate control!) The 545T has always been relaible. Instructions are clear easy to understand except the almost hidden instruction to cut the red wire inside the unit if you want to disable daytime running lights.

something unique

Most cars have this as a factory equipt item but my car did not have this. I have a 2011 toyota corolla s but i had this installed by a professional installation shop, I also have this install in my 2001 toyota trundra sr5 but it's a good thing to have when going in underpass or tunnels the headlight goes on automatically. I recommend this product to a vehicle that doesn't have this as a factory equipped item.

This is a great product it still works and I use it to automatically turn on my headlights in dark condition I don't necessary use the windshield part because i do it manually but i know it's the law

Does What it Says

Put this in my 1987 Jeep Wrangler & it hooked up easily in my opinion. Works just as advertised. I've been using Directed products since the early '90's, and they've been good to me so far. So I felt good going with them here.

Works great!

I had it installed at BB. The Directed 545T was installed in my 2007 Sportage without any problems or extra charges. It works as expected.

Great value

Had it installed on my wife 2010 Honda civic. It works great. Never have to worry about my wife forgetting her headlights on again. I had it installed by my self but if u don't feel confidence doing your self I guess u have to pay for get it install. Directions are easy to follow n definitely I will recommend this product to my family and friends.

What can i say about this? Its the greatest piece ever built! I love how i never have to switch my lights on or even forget to turn them off. I do recommend adding some type of disconnect switch. During christmas time i was unable to shut them off to go through christmas tree lane (where you look at lit houses) sad to say i had to skip. Just add that in and get a better double sided tape for the sensor and your set!

Great device at a great price

Had it installed on my 2008 Honda civic. It works great. Never have to worry about forgetting my headlights on again. I had it installed by the guys at B***B**in Ottawa at their Coventry Road location. Just ask for Chris; he did a great job.
The only thing I would suggest is; if you live in Canada, have it shipped by USPS because the courier nailed me for "Brokerage fees" that were the same cost as the unit (this is in addition to the shipping charges).

very easy to install as long as you have two hands and are not both left hands. Make sure you read the instructions and chose your desired customization, it literally took about 20-30 minutes from laying out the tools to cleaning them and putting them back. I chose to skip the bypass switch because I don't need it and it is the only flimsy part in the entire kit, the wire is way too think and the switch is of bad quality so you'd be better without it. I would recommend this kit to anyone just remember, throw out the switch it cannot be used and replacing the wire will melt the pins rendering that attempt a waste of time.
