Better than my kenwood!

I recommend this receiver over the Kenwood dmx4707 due to the fact that it has the same features but better, 4v pre-outs compared to 2v with the Kenwood, also has more background choices and better display quality, the EQ is noticeably better to me anyhow, the Dual has time alignment too. with actual physical buttons for volume, the Dual is easier to use seeing that both receivers do not come with a remote, also I like that the Dual buttons are in the front and not on the side like with the Kenwood. my Kenwood crapped out after only 3 months of use.

Excellent upgrade for older cars

I installed this for my daughter in her 2010 Mitsubishi Galant. It was a breeze and immediately upgraded the older to a more modern look. Her iPhone integrated flawlessly with the unit giving her hands free phone options, the ability to use on command navigation, and music control with no effort. The factory speakers sound amazing when music is played. Calls are loud and clear as is her voice through the microphone to whomever she’s speaking. If I owned more vehicles with older style stereos I’d buy this unit again.

Simple radio install

It was super easy just 3 main cords to worry about and I simply matched which wires were connected on my old unit. There was some maneuvering I had to do with the final placement but no biggie. I would recommend this unit to anyone looking to upgrade their current model.

The Dual DCPA701 receiver is a great product. Car play works great with it. The bluetooth works as it should for wireless streaming. It actually made my stock speakers sound great! (which they did not with the factory stereo). All in all I highly recommend.

It’s kinda slow. I can not get the apple car play to work only the Bluetooth. It was hard to install a very tight fit in a Jeep Wrangler. I had to return the first radio because the sound wasn’t working and then had to put a new one in and the sound works on this one the wires are very loose they fall apart easily even if they’re wired good.

has Apple carplay for way under $200

I bought this unit because it had Apple carplay. Install was pretty straight forward, don't necessarily like having an expternal mic for the phone but I think I hid it well enough. everything about the unit works well. Bluetooth works great, unit starts playing from my phone before the screen has even finished it start up process

Good value for the Money so far

I have had this unit installed for 3weeks now and about what I expected for the money. I will say upfront this even at the 189 price point this is still an entry-level unit for android auto/car play with 7" screen. I use this with an LG g6 and so far so good. I would like to note get you a good USB cable for your phone! I was ready to put in a service request for mine because android auto kept disconnecting but a quick look online I saw that cheap cables just don't cut it. I bought an Anker Powerline 1m cable and no issue since unless I move my phone a lot.
The good is it seems to be a good value for an android auto unit for less than 200 dollars. Once loaded android auto is pretty responsive to my G6 and with a PAC-SWI controller I was able to set up my steering wheel in my 09 lancer to work with it.
The only bad I can really say about it so far is load times. It takes an average of 6 seconds to load initially from when Dual screen comes up and android auto unless connected before the start can take up to 12 seconds to load. That could be because of my phone and is really only a nitpick. In case any are wondering the backup camera will come on even when loading screen is on so you don't have to wait for it to full start-up to get your camera.
So far so good I gave this 4 stars because I think its good but doesn't really surprise me for the price. I think is a good value and I will try to update if anything changes soon.

Great product

This product was great, but unfortunately, I had to return it due to my vehicle’s complications of installing a double din radio. I have a 2017 Dodge Journey Crossroad and in order to get a perfect install the dash kit is over $400 in which I’m not trying to purchase, so I just wired my subs and amp to my factory radio which isn’t bad at all and now I just have to get some aftermarket speakers which will be ordered from Sonic.

Good for the price

It’s a good headunit, about what you’d expect for the price. Touch screen is fast and responsive I’ve had it for a couple of days now and the only issue I’ve had is if you don’t use a name brand apple cable the Apple car play doesn’t work right, it glitches and freezes up. After I started using a real Apple charging cord it works just fine. It has stopped playing in the middle of a few songs in the middle of playing but it’s not regular. Overall a great unit. I’d recommend to anyone and rebuy if I had to do over again

I've had this radio for 13 months, now the FM band and the a.m. bands won't even play. Radio freezes and will not change channels in the FM or am mode. The Android audio side still works but after 10 minutes it cuts my phone completely off and my phone restarts. Would not recommend this product!

Value and utility.

This is the second dual-head unit I have purchased. One is in my 2008 Nissan Titan and one is in my daughter's Subaru Outback. I like it better than my Sony unit, which cost twice the price. This unit works seamlessly and does what I want. I'm very happy with my Dual!

Great All Around Daily Unit
