Verry happy

The Dual XDVD9101 is a great deck. I run my 4x4 very hard and although I dont have the video moniter out when I'm off road it never misses a beat when I open it up. The only thing I did not like about
the deck is that it has an E-break safty on it. That means the video will only play if the e-break is set. I just installed a 2 way toggel to ground
and I can watch video when ever. this is a great buy!!!!

I Got What I Paid For!!!

Unlike most indash units where all you have to do is ground the unit to play while i had to install a park brake switch to trick the unit. The sound quality is crap, my truck sounded better with the factory radio in it. I am completely unsatisfied with the product, and am currently seeking to return the item. I have had it for about 3 weeks now and the display becomes jumbled. I highly reccommend SonicElectronix however, I have had nothing but great service from them. I simply did not to my research before i bought this product.

i just put this in my sunfire and it's great. not many features but the display and ease of use is excellent

Don't just simply ground

It is the dual I have had that does not skip or stop playing. It always goes back to where you left off. Some times it has problems with ejecting disc all the way. toggle switch to the park wire and a ground works every time

Basic Flipout DVD Player

For the price it does the simple things. The screens look really plain and somewhat crowded with random things. Gets really hot when its reading CDs and has some trouble. Also touch screen is kinda tricky. doesn't like to work well cold and you get booted back to the main screen after three seconds of browsing your iPod which is really annoying. iPod connection works great and DVDs look good too. All in all its good for the price but, still kinda lacking in features.

Not bad, great customer service though

It worked great for about 8 months when it quit playing cd's. It would play dvd's though. Then the touchscreen & screen itself went out. So I sent to Dual for repairs under warranty. They fixed it and had it back to me in less than 2 weeks. It works perfect now. They even sent paperwork to show what went wrong and what was fixed. A+++++++ on customer service. As for the unit they said its rare what happened. Even gave me a new 1 year warranty.....

Overall fantastic, It's the little things though...

Overall I absolutely love this thing. The screen looks great for movies, and since it's retractable I don't have to worry about it getting in the way of anything. Audio output is crisp and clear, ipod docking works well too. My only problems are, around noon it's damn near impossible to see the screen. Late at night, without a CD in the disc drive, the LED's are overly bright. And sometimes if you use the touch screen before everything is loaded it freaks out and picks something completely different.

MORE BANG FOR THE BUCK

Like this unit, it is my third dual dvd player. Love the iPod control feature. Wish it had blutooth though. I have this in my 99 tahoe. Have it set up where i can play dvd while i drive. Illegal but cool as hell Lol. Great picture and performance. I would reccomend this unit, especially for the value.

In-Dash

Good for the price. But lacks smooth ipod controls. Sends you back to your current song you are playing, while searching for another song. Dont like how the ipod jack is in front of the deck, so the USB cord is exposed. Overall, decent for a beginner In-Dash.

Good Product for the Price

This dvd player is a nice one for the price. It has a lot of good functions but does have some issues. The motor that flips the monitor up and down becomes loud after a while but still works. And depending on you car, if the monitor cannot go up all the way then you have to preset the default tilt before you install it. Otherwise a great product.

this is a great unit. easy menu navigation, love the ipod option. only complaint is the dvd is hard to hook up and get running correctly, but all in all i strongly recommend this product.

Overall its good for the price, its really nit picky though and slow, it shuts off and resets randomly

Great if you Treat it Right...

I currently own the old version of this flip out and it was a great buy. I have had it for over a year now and the screen still slides out perfect, the display is awesome, and the touch screen still works. Many people complain that it doesn't play CD's after a while, but mine still does and works great. If you treat the product right it will last you a long time. Also I could tell the difference in sound quality from the power this was putting out to my speakers compared to the factory head unit. You cannot beat the price for this and the fact that it comes with a free dash kit and wire harness makes it even better. Overall like I said, if you treat the product right it will last a while, DUAL Products are not cheap like others say, and this is a great buy.
