My experience with the 3550
I got the unit a couple of months ago I also have the magellan 760 and I have to say I prefer the dual 3550 over the 760... here's why,
the dual is much smaller than the 760
the dual is way faster than the 760
dual unit has a built in battery [so you can walk around w/it!]
I own both units and for the price go with the dual unit it's flat out more reliable and much more rugged than the magellan the one thing the magellan does that the dual does not is to announce the actual street name instead of just saying right turn in 500ft. a nice feature but not worth over twice the price in my opinion.
what I don't like about the dual 3550
screen is a bit small..but it is clear
speakers could be better [or unit needs a tone control]
