Quality Product

I've been using this head unit for about a week now. One of the nicest I've ever owned and have had other Eclipses and high end Aline, mostly.. The amount of controls at your fingertips make it complicated to use, but in time I am sure I will get used to it. From display illumination to screensavers to a USB input it's top of the line. I haven't had time to get into it yet, but the the sound level/equlizing choices are quite limitless. Worth the money. If you've got the dough and aren't looking for a DVD player, simply sound quality, sink it in on the Eclipse 7100.

AMAZING UNIT

I have owned JVC and other Eclipses in the past, and this one is so much better than all of them. Eclipse did it again with their engineering on head units. From the 8 volt preouts to all the different ways the player can read music this unit is unbelievable. Personalizing the sound is a major feature along with the full color OEL display. The unit is very technical though, but with logic it can be easily mastered. I have 4 alpine speakers with 2 10" JL subwoofers and the system cranks more than ever. This unit is truly amazing. recomended for anyone looking to have a great looking unit, but to have the sound quality along with it. Definitely worth the $500 price tag.

Best of the best

I have had a total of 4 Eclipse head units, currently have 2, and this is by far the best. It is the loudest, clearest, and most dynamic head unit I've ever seen. The Parametric EQ, along with being able to control the crossover frequency from the radio itself warrants the high price tag. Currently I'm just pushing 4 Pioneer 4-way speakers in the doors of a Ford Fusion, and have a USG2300 U.S. Accoustic Amp connected, and people think I have subs in my trunk. The preamp outputs being 8 volts is just ridiculous, as I can't get the volume anywhere past 36 on any song with bass in it, and volume meter goes to 80! If you have the money to spend and want the top of the line product from the top of the line manufacturer of head units, then this is for you.
