Great bang for the buck!
Smooth response and quick recovery. Can handle its full RMS wattage rating and then some. Not quite audiophile but close. i would definitely recommend! Note: sounds best in ported enclosure.

best subs for sound quality . good spl
best subs for sound quality if your #1 concern is SQ and you actually want to hear the mids and highs blend together seamlessly then this is the sub for you . if you want super high spl's and to blow the doors off your car then get a square kicker but I want my music to sound good in my car not to be heard 5 blocks away.

Great Value
I have one of these in a custom ported enclosure tuned to 24hz for my GMC 2500 Crew Cab, and it hits deeper than any 10 I have heard! Even ported, it stays tight and accurate, and goes as loud as I need it to. I haven't metered it yet, but I am guessing that I can achieve well over 100db at nearly any audible frequency, which obviously isn't competition level, but is impressive for a single 10! I am running it off of a Hitron amp from here with a claimed 600 watt rms, and they seem well mated. I would highly recommend this sub for the price, or even triple the price.

Eclipse SW6010
I have one of these in a small sealed box 0.65 and running it with a Kicker zx 500.1 ran off an eclipse cd7200 mkII and it is the cleanest and best sound I have ever got out of any subs I have owned or heard that my friends have had not the loudest but if you truly enjoy a wide selection of different types of music you want it all to sound great. If all you listen to is rap and electronic then you may want to build a system that tailored to that type of music.I myself listen to everything from classical to rap to metal to electronic and this sub has great SQ for all.

450 rms?
these subs cannot handle true 450 watts rms. maybe 300?they have an ok sound though. on some rap notes they would not even hit the notes, and ya it wasnt because of my amp. i installed vega vmax subs after and wow. i would not recommend them to anyone looking for a 450 watt rms sub. not what i expected.
as for sonic, you couldnt shop at a better place!amazing service and prices!

This sub really hits!
I have this sub bridged on a Eclipse EA4200 and it sounds absolutely incredible! More bass than I would have ever expected and hits cleanly on all types of music. I recommend getting this well under priced sub if you are looking for a nice 10" for not too much money.

Great bang for the buck!
Very responsive and clean bass. Handled 500 rms no problem. Works great in a ported box to spec. Not to mention it looks great.

Excellent Sub!! Outperforms higher priced subs!! Blows all the other subs away.
I have been an purchaser of high end car audio components for a long time. After almost thirty years of putting or having others put aftermarket stereos, amps, and higher quality speakers in my cars, I believe I have a feel for what is good and not good. I have always leaned towards the higher quality components. I can report that this Eclipse SW 6010 Sub passed all my tests. The basket is durable; the speaker is heavy, as expected but it feels solid as you lift it out of the box. The aluminum cone adds to the solid nature of the sub and offers more protection to the rigors of its life after installation. Connections were easy with the mounting lugs on the side.
The two subs are mounted in a PROBOX under the back seats of my 4-door truck; the box is down firing. I know they will be even more efficient if I spent time to build a better box, however with the time and money I invested in this install it all worked out perfect. I have it hooked up to a Alpine PDX-1000.1 mono-block. It plays loud although it is not the loudest (I am too old to break windows). It plays very clean and tight. There is no muddyness; each note hits extremely hard without distorting or hiss. It reproduces the exact note that the composer/artist intends. For that reason, I can play All types of Rock, R &B, Rap, Country or Classical music without changing my settings too much.
Consequently, I have turned down my sub output to less than 50% gain and it still shakes my Silverado 1500 Crew cab at one half volume. Turning it up beats in the back of my head and administers to me and my riders CPR.
Because of my history with MB Quart. MTX, Kicker, Orion, JL Audio and a few others, also ran's, I can say with confidence that these will not disappoint!! They work as well as the High end JL Audio 10" that I had in my last vehicle. Matching them to the proper size box or getting one built is key but once they are set in the proper hole --> they will perform beyond the expectation of a 800-1000W sub. Forget the Sony, Kenwood, Pioneer, JVC or the other commercial crap that is sold in Target . . . they can't strike a match . . . much less hold a candle to these subs.

Wow... it's just wow.
Wow, I used to use JL Audio W3, and I ended up purchasing 2 of these, and oh man... nice and clean... even in lower volume. Very very solid and clean base all over frequency and watts. Very impressive.. because I thought only high-end brands like JL Audio can generate nice & solid sounds, but I guess I was wrong.. these are very very well constructed subs all around. You'll be very x 10 happy with these.

Eclipse SW6010
The subwoofer blew after 2 months of normal use. while it was working, it was a decent speaker, but after it blew...now its just a cat toy. (in the box)

good sq not spl
Blew this sub with a 500 watt Kenwood amp, as you know Kenwood amps don't give a true rating as the box says, so this sub definitely is weak.
However the sub sounded pretty good for the time I had it, just don't push it hard and it won't blow.. I was EQing the sub so it was getting real low and hitting high, and it did a great job but my amp couldn't keep up.
Now I have a 800W Infinity Kappa one amp and the sub was already rattling from before and it finally gave up and started to burn the Voice coils

Eclpise SW6010
Love this sub 450 rms is good enough unless your looking for something a little bigger this sub is one of the best I own can't beat the price soon to be powered by a Hitron 1000.1 amp can't wait to test the full potential of the subwoofer but I think i'll break-in the sub a little more first don't know if its a myth but I rather be on the safe side overall love it if your looking for a subwoofer that sound and pound good with a great price you can't beat I would recommend the Eclpise SW6010!!!!!
