Programming via the valet switch is very annoying for the user functions as well as the installer functions, because the horn and siren sound loudly to confirm the functions to be programmed. Maybe it would be better if there was some sort of device that would beep inside the inside the vehicle. Maybe Audiovox / Omega can possibly add a small speaker to the alarm antenna for programming only. However if purchasing a blade cartridge you do not have to worry about the annoying programing horn and siren, because the programming is done through the blade instead of through the valet switch and you complete this by plugging the Omega blade into your computer and do everything on the screen with no sounds from the siren or horn. A person would have to also purchase the loader for the blade or have the dealer selling it to you program it specifically to your vehicle. The blade is also good for bypass of the ignition immobilizer. If you're buying a blade double check with the dealer to make sure that it is compatible with your vehicle.
