Epic Fail
I installed this in my fiancée car after her 2000$ stereo system was stolen. I was pleased the first day or two, but now it is failing. I can't hear it one minute, then it rumbles with no music on, then it sounds good, it basically does what it wants. When we hit a bump it changes. When I touch the knobs it cuts in and out. Absolute garbage. I just ordered a kicker l7 to replace it.

I'm very happy with it.
I've been using this sub in my Mazda 6 since the winter as an addon to the factory sound system. I set the car's stereo bass to +0 and treble to +2. The sub is set to 1/4 frequency so that it only gives me boomy very low end, I had it at 3/4 before and it was great for some kinds of electronic music, bvut it's too intense for acoustic. Bass Boost is set to 1/2 and GAIN is set to near max. With that, I can put the car stereo to max volume and it doesn't distort, everything shakes like crazy and the sound is very powerful, full and sounds great, especially for metal music and dubstep. I don't feel that I would need any more power from a sub, it can already go louder than I'd set it. Very happy with it.

Great BOOM for the buck
Installed in a 07 Saturn Ion using the rear speakers as high level inputs. Took only 1.5 hrs to set up and sounds great using the factory head unit. Perfect for anyone who wants to add some clean bass to their oem car stereo at a bargain price. Sounds better than much higher priced subs.
