You get what you pay for.
I wanted basically something that would give me some eq's.
The 6 did that plus a bit of extra power.
The payback was a small bit of downgrade with the quality of the sound.
If you don't have a high quality playback system you probably will not notice.
For what it cost the 6 is a good deal.

Killer little AMP

I love it never dreamed that it would sound that good for paying so little, And it has several different eq.settings their will be one that is right for you, it made may twin driver's JVC ear buds come alive since they got little more power they blow the BOSS out of the water. Thanks for the good deal.

Fantastic purchase

I own an LG G3 and the internal amp in the phone isn't loud at all. This little amplifier is awesome!! The quality it produces is quite nice. Great purchase and deff a Bang for my for my money..

Nice Inline Amp

After some extensive research, I chose the FiiO E6 to provide some volume to power my home-rigged helmet speakers. The E6 did help a little, but the speakers just didn't cut it. So I subsequently bought a set of Tork X2 speakers and I'm thrilled with them. The E6 adds so much volume that I can enjoy any music, even low-key solo voices, at highway speeds. I'm quite pleased with the E6. Its high marks are well-deserved. Probably the only thing I'd change is to have a dedicated On-Off switch. Having to hold the toggle for an indeterminate amount of time is problematic without looking at the unit (mine is helmet-mounted).

Little Amp... Big Punch!

The amp is so small and lightweight that it's hard to believe that it delivers the way that it does. Definitely adds some punch to the low end and slightly broadens the sound overall. I use it with the Bowers & Wilkins C5 and I notice an undeniable difference as opposed to when I'm plugged into my laptop or iPhone without it. It also has pretty good battery life at around 10 hrs and comes with a Fiio 3" line out cable. No complaints.

FiiO E6 (E06) Portable Headphone Amplifier

Was looking for a way to boost ear phone volume to hear clearly in a noisy environment. Apps failed to produce any noticeable results. This device was exactly what I needed. Works great at increasing output volume.

Intrigueing product

I used Sonic Electronix for my purchase after reviewing the company on its website, confident that there was no one better for this purchase. I have not been disappointed. The product arrived quickly. I have opened the packaging and inspected the amplifier. I was very pleased with the small size of the amp and its low weight. The instructions included are very understandable. I have yet to actually use the amp connected to my headphones, but overall am confident in enjoying the amp in the near future.

Just what I needed

Does a great job bumping up the line level from my TV. Charge via usb lasts long time. Delivers everything promised. I would definitely buy again.

Pretty darn impressive

I was pleasantly surprised by this little amp. The sound is really clear, and it doesn't introduce any noticeable hiss until the master volume is cranked all the way up (which would deafen you with almost any source, so not exactly a big deal). It has it's own master volume and EQ controls, which is sweet. Plus it's super small, sleek, and seems pretty durable. Overall, it's a real nice amp if you want to improve the output & sound of your headphones without spending a ton of money

Can't be beat for the price..

This amp provides plenty of power to improve the sound quality in my AudioTechnica MTH-M50x's. My headphones are at minimum twice as loud with this amp and the sound is definitely more clear!

Review of FiiO E06 Headphone Amp

This amplifier is built well and provides a small boost in volume but makes the music smooth & makes the bass very rich. Very impressed with results from a inexpensive headphone amplifier.

This little amp is the best for the price, amplifies the music so much on my headphones you dont have to turn the volume up that much has three different eq settings for different tast in music my friends like them so much that they have bought a couple of them very small and puts out plenty of power to the headphones love it

Happy Ears

This small inexpensive Headphone amp. makes most earbuds and headphones come to life. Unless your device has an equalizer or a sound card, Fiio has an amp that will make your music and just about any other thing that is delivered through headphones way better. Spend a little and get a lot of sound quality .

Great Buy

I bought a pair of sennheiser hd220's and sounded great, but the addition of this amplifier gave it the incredible well-rounded filled-out sound. Not the best headphone amp on the market, but is great value considering the price. Also I have owned this product for almost a year and use it about 5 or 6 days a week and have not had any problems. I would recommend this product to anybody who has a budget but would like to enhance their music.

its portable and does the job, but i expected a higher level of amplification. the EQ settings are not worth it. but for the price, it does what it is supposed to.

Excellent Headphone Amp!

I recently purchased a set of Sony MDR-7506 headphones and absolutely love them! I noticed there were some recordings that just lacked that little "something" to bring the music to life. I purchased the FiiO E6 and was pleasantly surprised with the power and quality of sound improvement to my iPod, iPad, and iPhone, while using my MDR-7506 headphones! I would recommend these to anyone who wants more power without distortion.

I'm very pleased with this purchase. I needed something that would boost the noise from airplane engines while I try to hear my MP3 player. This little amp works great and without a power cord.

almost necessary for larger cans

I've had hd280s for 6 years. always liked them lot decided i should try an amp out for them. this thing kicks the hd280s in gear with any audio source especially with a galaxy s or quality DAC. it doesnt add much volume but tons of quality. everything sounds full like never before. unnecessary almost for my in ear buds but enhances slightly.

its very small and lightweight, the battery lasts probably 10 hours or so. not a fan of the implementation of the slide and hold toggle switch used to turn it on/off and switch eq settings which are mostly useless as they seem to boost the wrong bass frequencies and i use my phones eq settings.

should purchase for larger headphones that sound "small" or distant in any sense.

Good Little Portable Amp

Good portable amp. Small size makes it easy to carry around and doesn't get in the way. Small clip makes amp feel like an inline volume controller. Different sound settings give variety, but don't expect about. Good cheap amp

Very Good Sound for not a lot of money

I originally bought the amp to connect my smartphone to my car's aux port while boosting the phone's output signal.

This fits the bill well however I discovered with the built in EQ's inside of the amp, this sound is great when playing over $5 headphones, car stereo, and with Bose QC's too.

All around it's a good deal for anyone who enjoys music and wants better sound in a portable, rechargeable, device.

When I ordered this amp I had my thoughts about it sounding like junk boy was I surprised at the way it amped up the sound lets see if it last a long time without breaking down

Great Sound with Suprising Power

I bought the Fiio E6 to increase the volume when playing my mp3 player or my laptop through my entertainment system. I am able to reduce the volume on the system by half with the E6, and the sound is clear and amazing.

good bang for buck

Doesnt get even near the claimed 6 hours of play time. Im not sure if its 6 hours on 50% volume or what. But i usually get just over 2 hours on it before it dies. I ride a motorcycle so i have it at 100% volume with no eq settings turn on (red/blue/purple). But for 25 bucks you cant go wrong. Does exactly what i need it too. Roughly twice as loud. Im playing it off my nokia lumia 920. Feels like itll break if dropped but has held up to drop after drop on pavement

I like this product it was exactly what I was looking for. Only negative is that the on off broken so i could not turn off amp then it would drain battery.

This thing is AMAZING!!! This little amp is EASILY pocket sized, about the size of a silver dollar. It comes with a little clip that can be attached to it so it can clip on to my pocket/sleeve/belt... maybe my ear.... It weighs close to nothing so i forget its even there. has 3 preset EQs, so thats cool for different genres. And VERY BEST of all, its CHEAP!!! shipped to your house for under $30??? Thats a no brainer

great sound

The FiiO E6 significantly improved the sound of my ipod. Most obvious was the boost to the bass, not louder but clearer and stronger. One drawback is the battery only lasts 2 to 3 hours before needing recharging. Some of the other models have AAA batteries that could be changed immediately and continue listening. But overall, a recommended buy.

I think the product is awesome for what it does, I need to use it because at the gym they play their own music. The subway is very loud, and that's usually where I need the audio boost. This product is small enough so that it fits right in your pocket with your audio device. It's awesome for the price!

Best Choice for Demand

Ever since i got my ATH-M50 i thought they needed a little help so i got this and this amp is beyond amazing on what it achieves. Its reasonably priced and you get what you expect and a little more. The battery life is exceptional. I charge it once a day or every other day since I use it constantly. I would totally recommend.

Best Bang For Your Buck!

I got this headphone amplifier along with the Klipsch Image One II headphones in a special combo order. Had this amplifier for 90 days so far. This little electronic marvel really expands the sound quality on my $30 Jbuds earphones. Bass is heavier and background sounds are more defined. This amplifier makes any headphones sound better. I'll never go back to plain headphones again. I plan on upgrading to the FiiO
E11. These little amplifiers are a godsend to headphone sound quality!

Nice, but more "umph" needed...

I really like this little Amp. HOWEVER, I use it with Sony MDR-V6 studio headphones (rated 500mW/channel). In such use, this amp is, ironically, slightly underpowered. Solution: The amp needs to have the switching power-supply be more versatile in order to provide +500mW of clean transient power when needed.

Perfect solution

First of all, Sonic's delivery times are awesome! I received this as a Father's Day gift so I could use my phone in my wife's car to play music through her AUX jack in her factory stereo. Because the phone limits the headphone output volume for hearing safety, I had to turn up her stereo to full volume just to hear music at a low level. With this unit, I can now listen to the music they way it was meant to be heard without having to crank up the car's volume to the max. I keep it plugged into a USB charger in the car at all times, so I can't really comment on battery life or how well it sounds with a pair of headphones. But for my purpose, it is a perfect solution to boost the phone's headphone output volume. Just charge it up, plug everything in, turn it on, and adjust the output so you can play your tunes. If you don't have Bluetooth but have an AUX jack, this is a great addition to your ride.

Fiio F6

I bought the Fiio F6 because my phone's aux output wasn't very loud. Did exactly what I needed, and was able to properly amp the signal to run a aux directly into my speakers. There's three four modes, +8db bass boost, +4db bass boost, no boost, and high input mode.

Works great if all you need is a boost in output volume or if your output device is lacking low end don't expect it to enhance sound quality though.

Better than expected

I am severely deft and needed a small powerful amp to give my cell phone an extra boost so I could better hear the person on the other end. This little amp proved to be better than expected. I connected a few additional connection cords to the amp, combined it with a decent headset and I couldn't be happier.

More than I bargained for

When I picked up this lil guy brand new in the package at a thrift shop, didn't really know what I had, something told me to buy it. So i gave the asking price of $5. Definitely works better than what i imagined after reading the manual. It turns my picun bluetooth headphones into a damn speaker. Then i thought, theres gotta be another way to use it because my headphones don't need it. So i tried it on my some bad and subwoofer at the same time with a jack splitter posted on the output. I really didnt think it was possible to either. Come to find out my ill experiment was a success because it boosted both with no issues. Next I'll see what happens when I ouput it into a vehicle system...

I bought some grado headphones and sonic was awfully generous and threw this little amp in. It is smaller than I thought, about like a book of matches. It made the grado's sound great , especially with a low output phone, ipod , or walkman. I am gonna buy a couple more just to have around. Would make a good gift.

Good amp for on the go or if your looking for a starter amp

I've use this amp for quite some time and I enjoy it very much and I use it with my sony MDRXB450AP or my sennheiser momentum on ears and works very nicely with both and gives me good volume range for listening in loud places and clean amplification good for some one who's audio source doesn't provide enough power like an android phone etc I rate this product as a must have for noobies or those who aren't familiar with audio equipment it will change the way you listen to music
