Garmin nuvi 255w

I recommend this product because it performs excellently. I reviewed many other units before I purchased the Garmin and it has met all my expectations.
The only issue was loading the new 2010 North American map updates. It was a huge file and took over 7 hours to complete.

While I have not had occasion to use this GPS often, when I have needed to use it, it has been very impressive. It is accurate, and if the driver misses a turn, it re-plots the course nearly instantly. I would not hesitate to buy this device again.

I went to Salem with a friend and she used Garmin to get us their. I was so impressed that I had to have one. Now I go nowhere without it. I would recommend it because it's the best! It far surpasses any in the cars I have been in including the one I drive, an Infinity G35 with Nav.

Great features for a great price

For a navigation system that gets the job done, I enjoy the Garmin 255W. Its wider screen allows more map to show and gives room for the posting of the speed limit for the area you are in- which is nice when you are traveling and miss a speed limit sign, which is easy to do. I liked my unit so much that I bought one for my daughter-in-law who was moving across country and had to travel through many states. She also likes the unit. I really don't have any complaints.

Cant complain about anything. Easy to work but it has a lot more to offer, its just taking the time to figure out the details if you would like too.

Awesome Buy!

The Garmin GPS / Whistler radar detector was one of the best purchases I've ever made! I primarily bought it for the GPS since I had moved into a new area, but the radar detector ended up being more useful than I expected too! It's allowed me to avoid tickets on more than a few occasions. Both products were/are great and I've had no problems.

Great for the money. I ordered 4. The maps were locked on one I gave as a Christmas gift. I had to return at my expense to get fixed. I have to wonder how it was refurbished and did not work when I got it. Are the really checked out?

Good enough

Re-calculates route quickly... wish it showed POI along your route as you're driving. Very helpful web site. Has some neat features using the Net. We use this as well as TomTom, together they give me what I want.

good deal

Ive had it for 6 months now and for the price i thought it was good deal. When i got mine i couldn't even tell it was refurb. It does what i need it to. It shows me the road, tells me how fast im going, ETC, and you can even input your average economy so it can tell you how much gas you'll pay for the trip. I thought that was neat.I love it.
