Beware of baffle cutout diameter!!!

The diameter isn't posted here or on Ground Shaker's website. I contacted customer service at both Sonic & Ground Shaker and requested the diameter and received no response. The reviews were solid here so I ordered it anyway. I am surprised that I have yet to receive a response from Sonic, this is the first time in several orders from them I experienced any lack of communication regarding a product or order.

At any rate, the cutout diameter is only 5" which was too small for my (and many 6.5") speakers. The box is built well the other reviews are accurate. I had to fabricate a baffle with some MDF I had laying around and affixed it to the front of the box over the factory cutout. It isn't pretty but It's sealed. Make sure to check the cutout dimensions of your speaker. At this price there isn't really much to complain about, just want to give you all a heads up.

6.5" speaker boxes

These worked great behind the seat of my 87 silverado. Regular cab trucks can be challenging to outfit with speakers. I had a pair of kicker ks650s I wanted to use but didn't want to cut the door panels. Besides the sound from the doors isn't all that great anyway. These boxes sit perfect on the parcel shelf in the corners and project sound into the cab not into the back of the seat. Phenomenal sound! The boxes are well built and sturdy. I did seal the interior seams with some silicone caulk just to make em extra tight. Quite impressed with these and you couldn't build them cheaper than this. Sonic always comes thru with the fast shipping also.

A quality product that one can feel due to its heft and weight and just superb craftsmanship. My speakers fit in just perfectly, and making some good noise in my garage. Love the product and service from Sonic! This is what good craftsmanship and customer service should be!
