Hertz SQ At a Fairly Affordable Price

I've ran the Hertz MPX 165 and Hertz HCX 165 series 6.5" speakers at various points in my 2015 and later 2018 Harley Davidson Road Glide.

SQ wise the MPX 165 were my favorites, but they are expensive and if you ruin them out in the elements....... The pocket book can get thin quick. The HCX had great power handling capability, plenty of mid-bass and were more durable than the MPX at a fraction of the cost.

I'd say the CPX series is somewhere between the MPX and HCX series. SQ is good, power handling acceptable and they have decent mid-bass response without an overpowering tweeter at higher volumes. These were just installed last week, so I can't speak to durability yet, but we will see.

Great speaker

Sonic electronix have an outstanding customer service after calling about the Hertz CPX 165. The speakers have pure clarity and the design is very good. The price is reasonable at Sonic Electronics.
