Great Amp for the money
Dollar for Dollar best 4 channel amp I've ever owned. Will over heat without a fan on at 80% or more. Eliminated with fan I installed. Pushing 4 Diamond audio 5x7's component door speakers with 8 tweeters in my F150 supercab. Will make your ears bleed.

great bang for the buck
This amp does have a lot of power. But it does tend to heat up and shut off, even with the 4 fans I put on the back of it. Four 2 inch fans. Still gets hot and shuts off, running it at 4 ohms. Even though it has this issue I plan to get another one.

Big amp, Big power, Awesome price
Great amp! I have it running 2sets of Pioneer 6x9 5ways, 2 sets of Pioneer 4way 6.5 and 2sets of 1" dome tweeters. Had some initial issues adjusting the sound and finding room to mount three amp but once those issues were resolved its been smooth sailing. Very pleased!

Not Pleased
Pros:
1. Amazing Look
2. Lights Up
Cons:
1. Angled Down Inputs
2. Overheats
3. Mehh Power Output
4. Damages Easily
My Experience with this AMP... Wow. Terrible.
My Setup consists of: 0 Gauge from battery to 150 AMP Fuse (11-12" from battery) 0 Gauge from Fuse to 2.5 Farad Capacitor (Cap has 0 Gauge Ground) 4 Gauge from Cap to AMP (AMP has 4 Gauge Ground)
This was powering my SubWoofers (Yes, I know it's a 4Channel AMP, I'll explain why)
The FIRST AMP I got I stupidly wired it down to .5 Ohms, Slapped a little bit, then it threw itself into Protect, then totally killed itself and the lights/power LED flickered until I cut all power and took it out of my car and requested the RA.
The SECOND Replacement AMP I got, was not Brand New. It was a refurbished AMP, that was also not the one I sent back. (Second AMP had two Warranty Stickers on it, one broken.) I kept it at 2Ohms and it worked for a couple weeks. Then it as well died. This time, it just didn't turn on. It had Power according to my Multimeter, and the Remote was giving it Power. As a test, I did run a bypass from the 12v to the Remote, but it stayed off.
ANOTHER THING I NOTICED: While my Subs aren't all that great (12" MTX Terminators) My Dual Electronics 800Watt AMP and this 1200Watt Hifonics AMP, Hit about the same... The 800Watt having about ~100RMS While the 1200 SHOULD have had ~600.
SonicElectronix the RAs flawlessly, I now know to stay away from atleast THIS Hifonics AMP.
As to why I have a 4 Channel AMP on my Subwoofers, I am currently in the middle of buying a nicer car (Honda to a BMW) I don't have it fully in my possession, but I planned on buying some "upgrades" for my Honda, that I could take out and reuse in the BMW.
The Plan was:
2 HiFionics BRX1200.4 for Mids/Highs (Total of 10 Speakers)
2 Brutus 2000Watt Mono Amps
2 15" Kicker L7s
All Audio Dampened, Etc.
2 YellowCap batteries (One Main, one Backup)
2 Alternators, Was looking into Mechman, but I'd have to get a custom mount, plus don't know if I can actually fit them in the BMW.

Do not listen to the other review. This amplifiers perfect!
This amplifier is the best you can get for this price. The terminals may be at a 45 degree angle or so but it actually is not a problem at all. I Have played this amplifier for 4 hours straight and the amplifier is not near getting hot. I highly recommend this amplifier to who wants quality sound at an affordable price. No problems at all. This was the best 4 channel amplifier i have ever had. Hifonics is really doing better with the BRX Series.

A real performer
To me, the multi channel amp is what makes the system. If your system sucks without a sub, it will suck with a sub. Finding both great value, and great performance out of a multi channel amp seems to be very hard these days. I took a chance on this amp and installed it to two sets of MB Quart premiums,(pvm216). It rocks!!!! It's delivering every ounce of its rated power, and its doing so without going into its protect circuit after long periods of use,(hours). More than enough power to push any component set that I can think of. I'd put this amp up against anything on the market even at 3 times its price point. No, its not a Zapco c2k4, but its not $1500 either. The only negative is the control knobs from 1983. You need a screwdriver to adjust them. If building an amp rack with multiple amps, plan accordingly.

Great amp for the price
The only big downfall to this amp is that it gets very hot. I guess another downfall is that it is rather large. However, I am running it full force pushing 4 tweeters and 4 6x9s. It does the job and is very nice looking with the new lighting features. I'd recommend it to any one who needs some extra power but doesn't have a lot of money. I've used Hifonics for years and have always been happy with them.

Nice amp.. but HUGE
Powerful, clean sound from this amp at an unbeatable price and definitely pushing the rated power. My own gripe is that this thing is HUGE. As in.. WOW huge. It dwarfs my 1800w Brutus amp from last year and barely fits in the mounting location. Make sure to check the specs while you're planning your system out or you may be in trouble. It's practically twice as long as my GLX100.4 amps and only putting out 50% more power.I do have to reitterate that this amp is LOUD! I had to turn the gains way down to match my 4 other GLX100.4 amps.
I also REALLY wish that Maxxsonics would upgrade their controls and wire terminals. The dials are the same as they have been for the last few years which is a weird little rounded flathead dial.. that a flathead screwdriver doesn't really fit in.. and if you push on them, you can feel them bend inwards into the amp which tells me that they're physically weak. These 45 degree power/speaker connections are a huge pain in the rear as well. Come on guys. How about some actual mini knobs that are mounted with stregth to the faceplate instead of the PCB inside.
Overall.. HiFonics still wins hands down for $$ to power to quality ratio with the new BRX series. You just can't get better power for the money.. period. Just.. for next year.. how about a little more than just some blue LEDs for an upgrade..
FURTHER EDIT: After a good amount of listening at high volumes, I'm experiencing thermal shutdown when all my other amps are just fine.. and this one is turned down to match and not even stressing out! PAIN. Ugh. WHY did they have to discontinue the GLX Gladiator series? Those amps were bulletproof and completely awesome.

Great product
Great amp powers 2 sets of infinity kappa 60.9cs's and a 8" infinity reference subwoofer. Sounds great has lots of power. Only downfall would be the total aluminum body, dents and scratches very easy.

Awesome amp!
I am currently powering an alpine spr component set and 2 JL zr800 8" subs with this amp and so far its been terrific. 2 different eqs for each pair of channels so if youre running different component pairs as I am you can set your gains and filters for the specific set you want. Before I purchased this amp my only concern was complaints on them running hot. Mine is mounted behind my back seats with about 2" of space from the sub box and I have had no heat issues, even in 95 degree florida summer. Only thing is it is quite large so if youre tight on space be sure to check the specs. I am also running a zeus 1800 mono which is nearly half the size of this big guy! Awesome amp, for the money you really cannot go wrong.

good amp
Pretty good amp. I have this amp powering 4 alpine type R 6.5s and they scream. Amp does not overheat or anything. I have a boss amp for my alpine 12 inch type R sub sitting next to the hifonics and it gets dwarfed by it. Its a decent amp for the money. Its also CEA 2006 compliant.
