Wow, this amp is amazing

I just got this amp and have had it for 2 days. I am blown away on how kick ass this amp is. I have a Audiobahn 12" 1000watt RMS sub hooked up and it powers it awsome, while never really heating up even at high volumes for long periods. Also, usually a 1200 RMS amp would dim my lights, not this one, it runs super efficient and doesnt put any kind of strain on my stock power in my car. I would recomend any of the Hifonics Brutus amps!!!!

Long Term Review

I've had this amp since 1/07 when I got a warranty replacement for the same model amp. I really haven't been impressed with it since the beginning but the past few months the bass will come and go, the amp overloads at moderately high volume, and has a buzzing sound at low volumes. I put my old mid '80s Hifonics amp back in and everything sounds great. I hope Hifonics fixed the problems with this model (2 bad amps in a row).

this is amp is GREAT!

You wont believe the power this amp has and its small too, I have it pushing two Fosgate Punch P3D4 12" subs and it moves them easily and with the low pass just set at the 9 o'clock position. I would highly recommend this amp to anyone.

beats hard!

This amp beats real hard. I run two Pioneer TS-W307D4 subwoofers and they hit so hard! I run the subwoofers on 2 ohms (900 watts) and even once one sub gets burned for the power (you must be careful: this is an strong amp for the price you pay) and only one time the amp shut down because the heat. I highly recommend this amp: has good made, looks pretty, it´s ease to adjust the frequency and x-over and the wired remote bass level control included works so good!

Niiiice

This amp is pretty sweet. I have this thing hookd up to 2 10' solobaric L5s and it pushes them hard. It looks really good at night when the blue neons light up. Good price for a good amp.

Bumpin

This amp is great, my friend has 2 12" type R's and it bumps them nicely... so if u like chillin in ur car wiht loud music and great bass i recomend u buy this amp. great price too.

very loud amp for the price

this amp is amazing. i have it on two alpine 15s and it pounds them so hard. the amazing part is that it makes the 15s sound like 12s. it has a great response. i recommend this here amp to anyone looking for a reasonable price and outstanding sound.

New facelift

this is the bx1205d with a rather nice facelift. the older model is running my type r's without skipping a beat. cheap price and rated power. can't beat it.

Great power, super efficient

I just got this amp hooked up today and it drives my two Alpine Type-R's so hard, they're getting 600 RMS watts a piece and it's amazing. I ordered a capacitor with this amp because I thought it would make my lights flicker, but it's so efficient that the cap is just a ware on the electrical system.

Purchase it allready!

You won't find a better sub amp for the price. I don't know if it really pushes out what it is rated at, but is has more that my subs can handle. I was looking for 900 RMS at 2 Ohms (which is what my Audiobahns handle), they can't handle it. The remote bass is a great feature as well. Oh ya, don't forget to turn the input down to .2 volts, it comes set a 9, which won't give you any sound.

Great Value

This amp is the best value for the wattage you are getting. I use it with my two kicker solobaric l5 12 inch subs, matching the 1200 RMS. Lowest price for what you get, can't argue with that! Go for it!

Excellent amp!

I bought this amp to power my ONE (1) Alpine Type R (dual 4 ohm voice coils) and the amp makes the sub POUND! I have it in a sealed enclosure and it sounds a lot better than with previous amps. The amp is also quite small, which is a great feature if you don't have much space. Overall, Hifonics has proven to me that it is one of the best for this price range.

Pushing two L7 15s Is seems like you
can run it wide open for hrs and it doesn't
even get hot to the touch...Power wise this
amp is under rated, I have had no problems
what so ever. Would Highly recommend Hifonics

I've heard good things about hifonics so i got this for 2 12" 1400watt pioneer flatcone subs, it powers them great, and looks beautiful. I think hifonics underrates the amp power. the bass knob it comes with is also pretty handy.
