POWERFULL,,,,, but thats about it
a true audiophile will not like this amp,,, to the guy that said this amp is clean , must have heard a clean amp b4,,,, dont get me wrong,,, if you want TONS of power for a GREAT price,,,, get this amp,,, but if your an audiophihle nut like me and need tons of power with good sq,, then dont get it,,, other then that this is a great amp especally for the price,, you cant beat the value of this amp anywhere,,,, you definitily need a sub that can handle a TON of power if your gonna run this beast at 1 ohm

Hifonics 1610
good amp never had any problems with it but the power ratting is over rated like most hifonics stuff still a good amp but really puts out around 1200rms at 1 ohm

Sweet
I have this amp hooked up to 2 kenwoods and man its the best thing i have ever heard, except that the amp is too powerful for my subs, you need some rockford fosgate power subs for this amp, hopefully my kenwoods wont blow.

FYI: BEST AMP IN ITS CLASS
read the few not so good reviews here on sonic and you will see that they prolly are not doing things correctly, this amp has a fuse rating of 140 amp which means you need at least 140 amps to run it at full potential, most cars have a maximum of 80 amp alternator which is not even half considering the car needs so many amps to run, i have this amp, i have two optima batteries, a 200 amp high output alternator , all 0 gauge wire, and can tell you this amp pushes all 1600 watts. 144+ db

power hungry yet a good amp
I wasn't expecting this amp to do what it does in my car. i have it wired to 2 memphis mojo tens and it slams pretty good. its fault however is the efficiency, if you do not plan on upgrading your charging system do not buy this amp! I have a stinger dry cell and a 1farad cap with 4gauge memphis wire(which is VERY good wire) and i still have slight voltage drops. if you just plan on hooking this up to an all stock charging system you are looking at possibly blowing something, also if you plan on running it at anything but 1ohm it drops the efficiency. but if you have the will to upgrade your charging a little then don't be afraid this amp puts out some serious power for the dollar.

Beast Mode
This amp is sick, it is currently wangin 4 cvr 12" kickers in my 4 door chevy S-10 pickup truck and pushes them to perfection. This thing has never gotten hot on me once and i ran it for about an hour an a half straight at one point. Although voices come thru the subs on certain songs and it is kinda annoying but i just got better rca cables and it fixed the problem

REAL SOLID POWER!!
I just got my bxi1610d delivered today and i did not hesitate one minute to install it in my truck. i currently have it powering or let me say ABUSING the h*** out of my pair of alpine type r 15". if you want power your gonna get power with this bad boy. just make sure you have the proper wiring gauge and amps running to this monster. and about the clean sounding audio freaks that are more into quality and decide to bash on this product you have to remember its not a quality amp its more for SPL and hair trick bass.i have it running at 1ohm and its as solid as a tank. great product and really awesome price to. oh and it comes with a bass knob.

I have this sub hooked up to my 15" kicker solobaric L7 in a small box with 4 gauge goin to my cap and 5 gauge to my amp and wow does it pound!! I find it hard to listen to for +30 seconds without turning it down. Awesome setup this amp sure delivers for the buck!

Great Value!
Wonderful amp i have it hooked up to an Orion HCCA 10.2 and it gets so loud it hurts to breath. I had the sub sonic on 25 hertz and the lows destroyed my car. Hifonics have the best amps they are very clear and loud.

The Perfect Amp!
I've been working in car audio since I was 14 and I am a certified installer, I work with new and used and I have never had bad luck with Hifonics. I bought 2x12" kicker L5's and needed real power for them. these amps are rated right, they have more then enough adjustments so tuning is easy, I have a 20 farad cap to help power this beast, no distortion from the amp at any volume, its amazing, I've lost the spoiler off my car (the subs cracked it off) and busted out my tail lights countless times, its real power, you wont regret buying this amp

AWESOME AMP!!!
Ok, first off. I have a 2000 Ford Explorer Sport with a 6cu ft box i build for my sub. I have this beast wired at one ohm to a 2008 Kicker L7 15 Dual 2ohm model. And it absolutely SLAMMMSSS!!! I can pound whatever i want with this amp. I was a lil skeptical with the frequency response when i ordered it, but im NOT disappointed at all. The lows are INSANE in my truck. The mids are great and the highs are great also. But as soon at i hit a low note....everything moves in and out of my truck. seats, hedliner, STEERING WHEEL a lil, window flex, roof flex, hatch flex, and everything in between. I really dont have any down points to this amp. it was easy to tune like any other amp, doesnt get hot, and just beats all day long.

good amp
good strong very competent amp. pushes 1600 watts easily, and for the price it cant be beat. much better than my 1500 watt kicker amp.

one thing wrong with this amp,,,
hifonics corporation really needs to work on the freq response of all of the hifonics brutus amps ,,,,,, if you want really low deep bass ,,, dont get this amp,,,, it has tons of power but not good sq , the freq response rating on theese amps are 35-300 ,,,, a good subwoofer amp will have a freq rating starting at 15 and up,,, the reallly high dollars ones play down to 5 hertz!!!!!! (alphasonic,, jl audio)

POWER HOUSE!!!
I had this amp pushing two Alpine Type R 15's wired down to 1-ohm. DAMN this amp pushed them so good. both subs rated at 750+ RMS sounded like they were at their peek. The good thing is that These HIFONCS class D amps never get hot.. NEVER! Just a little warm. Don't be a fool and try to bite more than you can chew with this amp... because your not gonna get its full potential with 4 gauge and a stock batt with a small capacitor. I got an Optima Yellow Top, 0 gauge runs to the amp, and the big 3 power upgrade with 0 gauge stinger wire. i was hitting 145+ DB's. These amps are SOLID as he** and made to last.

Decent Amp
This is an ok amp for the price. I installed this in a friends truck with a 12'' Pioneer Champ Pro Serious Sub DVC 2 ohm with a large Folded Horn Box. I was expecting it to pound with a 1ohm load. Well these amps are not efficient. I have done many installs and this amp is power hungry. You need a really good ground and good wire. Upgrade the big three and maybe a cap to supply this with power. I was on a budget system so we had cheaper wire. Though still 4 gauge and Clip, Clip, Clip, on the brand new pioneer because this thing needs power! Stick with your High End brands. And in the end I tried my JL 500/1 on the sub and it put out more power at 4 ohms. So... Go with higher end stuff if you can afford it. You will end up spending the difference with buying a new battery and alternator to feed this thing. Also the size its huge hardly fits anywhere.

good value
i had this amp running on two diamond d3's and it sounded pretty good. Im not sure if it puts out the full 1600rms but it maxed my diamond d3's out at 2 ohm no problem. Now i have the bxi2010 and my kicker cvx's pound at 1 ohm. Very good amp. i would recommend this amp if your not looking to spend a whole lot but need a good amp. I had my bxi1610 for about 6 months and i had no problem with it at all.

An Absolute Beast AMP!
I have 1 of these running at 1 OHM with 2 cerwin vega VMax124 12's in a sealed box in my expedition and this amp makes those puppies roar. Hifonics always makes super power packed amps and this one is 100% high quality. Runs at 1 OHm with no issue what so ever. I love this amp it's a great buy.

Great Amp for the price
This is my second amp from the Hifonics family. The first amp was the 1200 D model and it lasted for 3 years with no problems. This 1600 D model is more powerful no doubt and it gives out nice clean power and never seems like its straining to push my 2 12" alpine type R subs.

AWESOME
GREAT, STRONG AND CLEAN AMP, PUSHES SOME SERIOUSLY UNDER RATED POWER. REALLY EASY TO TUNE, AND HAS ALOT OF FEATURES. IT BLEW MY 2 HIFONICS BRUTUS SUBS (600W RMS A PIECE) IN A LITTLE OVER A WEEK. AWESOME AMP, JUST BE SURE THAT YOU HAVE GOOD SUBS TO MATCH

OH MY GOSH!!!
This amp pounds out some clean bass. I have it hooked up two RE SE D4 12\'s. BXi1610D makes my subs slam some bass. I\'m waiting to get a new battery so it will stop my lights from going dim.
But overall this amp is the best. Hifonics knows what they are doing when it comes to car audio.

An amp that beat
I have owned this amp before, powered up by kicker 4 gauge wire. It's the amp what you paid for it. It's not the best amp, still not the worst one. If you don't care about the CEA Compliant go with this one, but I don't think this amp has the power of 1600 watts stabled at one Ohm. More like 800 to 1,000 watts for a single Ohm. But, if your pro you should know that if your running over a 1,000 watts you need a O gauge wire to run the amp. Other wise you only running the half of power on an amp that is over 1,000 watts. I think this amp only get the job done, but if you want something loud and have a great value go with the MTX thunder Elite. You'll be happy for what your getting.

Power from the Gods... they weren't joking.
I really recommend this amp to anyone who wants to be "heard" coming down the street... i hooked up my 2 12" round solo barics inside my 1500 single-cab chevy behind the seat... it shakes the whole truck up. just be sure your subs are ready for this kind of power because this amp delivers the power you need. This amp uses lots of power so you need a good battery and maybe even a capacitor. The bass boost control is a very nice feature too.
