SICK

i had the 2008D on 2 type r subs and i have never heard anything that pounded harder the only reason i gave it a 4 in durability is because fedex dropped it or something when it was shipped because there was a loose piece inside it but it still worked for a couple months until the loose piece shorted on the connections inside the amp and fried it. If it wasn't for fedex i would still be slumpin right now

(:

I'll give this particular amp 5 stars all the way across.

I was also skeptical of this amp's performance because some people had made Hifonics out to be 'cheap'

I'll tell you one thing, they were wrong. This amp has miles of power, I had it hooked up to an Audioque HDC315 in a 3.6cu ft box tuned to ~36hz in a 2007 Infiniti G35 sedan with stock electrical, down to one ohm. It absolutely HAMMERED the lows thanks to the plentiful power coming out of this thing. Broke my damn sunroof motor, it's permanently cracked open.

Looks good at night, cool blue haze coming out of my trunk, and the black finish is sweeeeet; the bass knob is wonderful.

Very, very happy with my purchase.

well worth the money

I recently purchased the 2010D to power my 2 JL W3V2's in my 2002 Hyundai Sonata. I was somewhat skeptical towards Hifonics because they do not seem as mainstream as other brands, and a lot of people bash on their products.
before receiving the amp, i had a HO 200 amp alt. installed and i installed a Kinetik hc1400 under my hood and another Kinetik hc 800 in the trunk along with a stinger 80 amp relay. I feel that if you have the proper power running to it, this amp will definitely put out the rated power it states, maybe even more! it also helps if it is tuned right (obviously).
At first i thought that it was way over-rated, but then i realized one of the 2 100 amp fuses going in between my batteries was blown, and after replacing that and letting my back battery to charge, it is so LOUD!!!
my current set up is set at 4 ohms, so 650 watts RMS according to the factory specs. Personally, I think its pushing maybe 700-730 watts continuous. its temporary until i can upgrade my wires from 4awg to 0 and put in an Orion HCCA 12.2 @ 1 ohm :) it should be interesting!

something i wish it had, though, is like a control to set what frequency the bass boost hits hardest at (like the JL amps do). I used to own a 500/1, and it was a nice feature. I wonder if there is something out there that can help me out? that would be nice for when my HCCA gets installed.

overall I feel its well worth the money if you have the right set up and proper power going to it.

Great amp, great performance, great price!!!

I heard some mixed reviews that this amp is overrated. So I took it to a local shop to be tested. At 14.4 volts it was on the money. He dropped it to 13.8 volts & at 4 ohms 634 watts rms, at 2 ohms 1242 watts rms, and at 1 ohm 1896 watts rms. Not bad for a $275 dollar amp. It does its rated at 14.4 which is where they test them. I have mine running 2 Alpine Type R 1022D's @ 2 ohms and they pound...Highly recommend this amp if your on a budget

Great bang for the buck

This is a great buy for the cost. At 14 volts I scoped this amp at 1752 watts at a 1 ohm load. Does a good job at not overheating and does its job well.

Great amp for the money

I bought one of these a few months ago and it is an excellent amp for the money. After being tuned in with an oscilloscope it was putting out 1752 watts RMS with no clip. Wonderful amp for the money. Just make sure you have it installed and tuned correctly.

lots of power

I bought this amp for my two kicker l5 12s and it puts out a lot of power. This amp also takes a lot of power. I have a 105 amp alternator and a 3 farad cap and it still drops the voltage to 11 something. The subs are able to move the doors about a quarter inch. I have owned this amp for about three months and have never had a problem. even after playing the system at full blast for about a minute the amp is barely warm at all. I highly recommend this amp.

Hifonics Amp, Overrated.

I have owned two of these amps, and in my opinion, they are overrated. My first amp even fried on me!!They don't put out as much power as people say. I had 2 12" kicker CVR's that were powered by this amp and you could hear the clipping from the amp, and the sounds that it amplifies ARENT very crisp and clean. I hooked up my cousins rockford fosgate 1000 up to my subs and wow, HUGE DIFFERENCE! What's the moral of this story? Don't buy cheap products that claim to boast huge power, you will be disappointed. Save your money for something awesome! But that's just my honest opinion

GOOD CLEAN BASS

when i get these amp i had it running my hifonics olympus olm2415 it had replaced a borrowed alpine msr-500/1 and the difference in going from that alpine to this hifonics was the bass was some much cleaner and clear...i was running stock alt and batt so i know i wasnt getting no where near the rated output but i noticed that the alpine hit alot harder but this amp was alot cleaner...then i found out 1 of my coils had burnt out so i got a Memphis mojo and this amp with that sub destroy like 3 boxes(1 homemade and 2 prefab vented boxes)...there's nuthin bad i can say about this amp good clean bass reliable never over heats nor cut off make sure you have 1/0 gag and a extra battery to get the true potential of this amp ....SURE THERES BETTER BUT FOR THIS PRICES ITS WORTH IT

Great amp, great value.......

This amp packs the punch, I hooked this amp up with one orion hcca15.2 sub and it sounds great. Enclosure tuned at 35Hz. BASS IS LOUD AND CLEAR. Anyone who say this amp is not good look for a real tech to hook up your music.

will even explode fellow innocent drivers

i am currently running this amp and the previous model of this amp in my burban. For whatever reason the previous model seems to output a little more power than this 2010 model but nonetheless this 2010 brutus will rip your face off with bass. it is not uncommon for me to be driving, especially approaching a red light, and seeing fellow drivers covering their ears due to the sheer obliteration these amps cause. make sure you externally fuse these amps because as far as i know they have no internal fuse. I have a 100 amp fuse on the 2008 model and a 150 amp fuse on the 2010 model and both work exceptional.

brutal amp

I have a Hifonics bxi 2010 hooked up to 2 JL Audio 12-w7's wired in parallel to 1.5 ohms in a 3.60 cubic foot box tuned to 40 hz, on kicker true 0 gauge amp kit with a hc600 kinetik battery in the trunk of my 05 maxima, Ive had quite a few amps on these w7s and this amp is definately the champ, w7's getting approx 825 watts, and i do believe there getting damn close to that, at least 775-800 watts which is a damn efficient amplifier, system pounds, I mean pounds! Dollar to wattage, hifonics is the way to go.
