Garbage!!!

Would not recommend to anyone! Amp lasted less than a week and it burnt up! Voltage never below 13.5, no clipped signal all connections were nice and solid cheap quality amp all around! Plastic end caps on amp to mount the 20+ pound amp didn't seem solid! The bottom metal plate is flimsy and buckles when you hold the amp. I wonder how poor the quality is on their other lines are if this is supposed to be top of the line!! I'll never purchase a Hifonics product again.

colossus

I like it, it has alot of power right now. I have 2 15" cvx kickers (2000 watts each) bridged that the amp is pushing. Next ima get 2 more 15" cvx and make my sound system even more loud, if you want good quality i prefer this amp (3200 watts).

Its a Beast

The Hifonics Colossus actually has a little history behind it, but in a nutshell, its an amazing amplifier that I wish I never got rid of. Its so powerful that a while back, it was banned from a competition for them thinking it had 2 amplifiers in 1 shell. Though this was the case, it lets you know how powerful it is, rather than me just describing how awesome it is.

good amp, but mine died

i had this amp for about a year on 3 sa8 v2s, it got loud but was never pushing its full capacity because it sucked so much current that i could never keep it fully supplied. i had a stock alternator with the big 3, and a large deep cycle battery and couldnt turn it up past half way. then one day it died and sonic gave me a bunch of store credit

update!

i'm the guy with the vic. i took out the hcca 10's and put in another colossus i have 3 batteries powering them, at idle im at 15.1 to 15.3 volts before play. i put 2 PSI platform 3 18's in the trunk tuned at 30 hrtz pushing 3200 rms to each one. i float empty monster cans in the window. gravel bounces off the ground. first comp is in a couple wks, ill let ya know how loud i am.

Raw power here!!!

I'm running this amp with 1 12" cerwin vega stroker pro. Hits so hard pops my ears, leaves me delirious. Makes you sick. HOWEVER, you must have the big three, extra batteries, hi output alternator. Once that's done, Big pay off.

Hifonics all the way

Wow This amp is a BEAST its powering 2 12" Fi BTL. Let me tell you dont let this amp go. It's a flagship from Hifonics. It beats every other brand in its class.

perfect match

Have 2 hcca 10.2 in the back of a crown vic. This amp gives them 1600 rms @ 1ohm each. The windsheild wipers bounce off the glass. The back seat shakes like its going to explode. I'm thinking next time 2 of thease amps with 2 hcca 15.2 @ 2ohms bridged 3200 rms each! That will be very interesting to hear.

Great amp

I purchased this amp for 2 kicker L7 15" subs about six months ago. Great bang for the buck the only problem is keeping the amp fed with power I have three optima yellow tops to power this amp an it's still clips from time to time so if you intend to make your subs pound this is the amp for you.

Must have for the money get them while they last at this price.

Omg the best power for the buck, very versatile also caution you must have voltage over 14 to get good results meaning upgrading to the big 3, alternator and batteries in the trunk. I did and great results. this is my second hifonics have multiple cars bought one of eBay very durable.

new colossus what a waste of $$$

Could not and would not recommend this amp. For around $320 get the planet audio BB 2400d. Does a legit 2000 wrms and at 1/2 ohm the colossus barley kept up with my sundown 1500d.

Hifonics Colossus can't be beat for the money.

Awesome amp for the money price per watt can't be beat, at least not for an amp that does rated RMS. Normally amps at this price per watt are over rated in that thay may put out half of what they claim. As long as you can keep your voltage up 14.4 with a HO alt. Batts. or whatever you will be impressed for the money. Also I have checked the built-in clip light with a TPI-440 Scope and with a SMD DD-1 and its right on the money and nice to have on the remote so you know just how far you can push it. Also the amp guts are simullar to Sundown and AQ so you get a great amp without paying for a brand.

Hifonics Colossus

I purchased this beast a few months ago and I have been more than pleased with the immense power it provides me and even more the amazing cost. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone looking for serious power to drive their subs.

Great for the money

I love mine. Very strong for the money. There are of course better amps but for the money you can't beat it. Only thing I don't like is it pulls alot of power so you better have damn good electrical to run this amp.

Highly efficent and powerful

I definatly reccomend this amp! It's very efficent and very powerful. Never gone into protect and sounds very clean. Price is amazing. Quality of the amp itself seems amazing. Will always buy hifonics as i like their amps better then Rockford and Alpine. Haven't delt with other companies. Hifonics will always be my frist choice. I get very little dimming with this amp.

Powerful amp

I have had this amp twice. The first time I blew it because my voltage was too low. I did the same thing with the 2nd amp. This amp easily does rated power but you MUST have the power to feed it. This means extra battery big 3 upgrade and high output alternator to be safe. Trust me you wont be disappointed.
