PERFECT Sound

Just a heads up these speakers are the best front door speakers I've ever purchased. However, there is one thing on this site that is very misleading. DON'T MAKE THE SAME STUPID MISTAKE I MADE. Sonic electronix is fact says these speakers will fit my 1998 Honda Civic. I very strongly say they did NO SUCH THING. These DID NOT fit my front door speakers. See, this site was thinking Civics in general, it will fit. But, it didn't account for sub model. I own a 98' Honda Civic LX (4 door). These will NOT fit your LX. Why? because I was stupid and bought these on an impulse. Needless to say, don't be stupid guys/gals. Take the time out of your day to measure the mounting depth in your door from speaker to door. My civic, not learned until after this, requires SHALLOW MOUNT SPEAKERS. They're indeed 6.5" speakers, but they need to be SHALLOW MOUNT. Thankfully, on the bright side, I know a pretty good amount on cars. Therefore, I MADE them fit. With a good ole fashion Rotozip Dremel and about 3-4 hours PER DOOR prefecting your magic, AND making, or buying, your own 1/2" spacer rings, THEN after all of that good good... YEAH then they'll fit. Plus, the wires for these speakers are soooooo thin and flimsy. Get yourself some high quality, ease-of-use splices. I had a real fun time with that. Soldering was my best friend in strengthening the ends of these wires. All of the hard work was worth it though. Why? BECAUSE THESE SPEAKERS SOUND FANTASTIC!!!! They can maintain a pretty crazy high volume output while still sounding fantastic. Literally helped my car reach ultimate sound perfection. To close, these spakers are great. They're terrible to install though (unless they actually fit your vehicle).

good for the money

these speakers are good for the money and will work with a stock head unit but they will be a bit under powered they are good quality and sound good but i had to cut a hole in my door (a 2005 Chevy equinox) even though the website said it will fit and the wires it came with are way to thin do not use them spend $5 and get some bigger gauge wire.

These are probably the best $25 6.5" for the money

I have owned several different Hifonics products. And I will say these things are worth every penny. The sound quality is amazing for what you pay. I am amazed by these little budget friendly 6.5" I could not be happier with my purchase. The bass is definitely there. It is very similar to my MTX and I am a die hard MTX fan. I will say the best bang for the buck. The bass is great and the highs are even better. They fit in my GMC Jimmy fairly well. I did have to drill a few screw holes to match up the adapter plate but other than that I cannot complain about these. These have bass I can feel on my ankles. I will say they are very power hungry and they need quite a bit of power to bring out the sound. But with an upgraded head unit they sound great. The bass isn't muddy or muffled it is very boomy and definitely high impact. I listen to variety of music and these have played it all very well. And the highs are amazing. I think I will definitely be outfitting the rest of the speakers with Hifonics.
