Respectable amp for the price
This amp is pushing a single JL 10w1v2 rated to handle 150watts rms in a sealed box, with a Pioneer headunit (Hi-Volt RCA output) providing the signal. So far, here are my impressions with this amp -
The amp is suprisingly heavy, with easy to access controls and hookups - adjustments are relatively easy, with all the dials (except the gain) having detents to allow you to easily tweak each setting just a tad until you find your sweet spot.
Overall sound quality is good, but not outstanding. At moderate listening levels, the bass is tight and well-controlled - crank the volume, and add a healthy dose of bass-boost, you get some serious thump. However, with the bass boost backed down, I'm left wondering where the bass is. I'm actually pretty suprised by this; I have to keep the bass boost turned up at least 20% for the sub to really have much response at all.
As far as durability, I'll have to wait and see on that one. (Haven't had the amp very long yet.)
Overall, a good buy; reasonably solid performance at an amazing price.
