my first hifonics
i bought this amp as an upgrade for my sub amp. i was running a rockford p300x2 on 2 older alpine type r subs(early 2000's). this hifonics amp's rms rating matched the rms rating of my subs. i set the gains using the built in clipping indicator (which is the main reason i bought the amp) and test tones. it really woke my system up. there is also a clip indicator on the remote gain knob which is great. all amps should come with this feature(my rockford also had this). as far as my rating goes, i gave durability a 3 because i only had the amp installed for about 2 weeks now, but i will say this amp runs cool. i gave ease of use a 4 because my rockford had its adjustment knobs on the top and all the wire hookups were on one side, the odin has adjustments on one side and wires on both. this caused a bit of a pain for me because of how i mounted my amp, i had to set it up before i mounted it, but thats on par with most amps.
