Great component speakers for a GREAT price!
Over all these speakers are worth the money.
Pros: They get very loud just from stock head unit power, and hit the mids and highs great! And they even have lights that light up the logo. Easy install, And they are cheap!
Cons: One of the wires they sent me for the tweeters were broken, but that was no big deal. And after 5 months of having them one of the crossover boxes quit working for a few days... But just started working again. and haven't had a problem since.
Comments: I love these speakers and i will probably end up buying them again. they sound great and are cheap. The crossover box was bigger than i expected. But i was able to hide everything and it looks great.

Good Speakers for the Price
Good speakers for the price.
Crossovers are large (something like 3 1/2" by 5") making it hard to find a spot for them.
Speaker cutout size isn't listed anywhere, but seem to be right around 4 1/2". Tweeter cutout size is just a touch larger than 1 3/4".
Efficiency is listed as 91db, but I don't quite believe this number as the 91db speakers in my rear deck are quite a bit louder.

Very solid value. Loud and good to great sound
For a value set of components with high power handling and 4ohm, these things fit the bill. I never had heard of Hifonics before, but reading the other opinions made me take the plunge. Besides, I previously blew a set of JBL since their max power was 90, so I figured these Hifonics would work, and thus far, they have. In fact, I plan to twist up the gain a bit more on my front channels to let the amp work a bit more.
Pros: shallow mounting depth, high power handling, installation flexibility with the tweeters, sound way better than what I had before. Way better.
cons: the xover is thick. It's average in size at L x W, but they were thicker than I expected. For a application that needs a thin xover, these are not a good choice. No problem for me as they still fit in my door, just not as easily as my old ones.
other thoughts; I guess they have some LEDs that can be hooked up. I didn't use that. Comes with a good amount of installation hardware like quite a few screws, a few different tweeter mounts and some other finishings, none of which I used but someone probably needs that stuff.

lots of bang for your buck
i have these speakers in the doors of my scirocco, with the tweets hiding in the fresh air ducts, and the crossovers stashed in the glove box, i am sending them 100watts RMS at 4 ohms via a hifonics amp
these little speakers get LOUD and so far they have been very clear sounding, i had to remove the rubber boot to get them to fit but my car was designed to hold a 10watt 4x6"..the cross overs are a little bulky but they are not huge.. i thought that i was going to get allot lower sound quality considering the cost, but i was wrong, cheap price, great sound. i will be using more hifonics speakers in the future

Nice Speakers
for 60 bucks, this component set doesnt disappoint at all. Got them in my 96 monte carlo with matching 6x9s in the rear, running off a power acoustik ov840, so theyre getting around 50rms at 4ohms, sound pretty good, although with the bass turned up my subs tent to drown out the highs, i wish they wernt under the plastic cover so I could look at the lights on the front tho

Great!
I really enjoyed these speakers, the sound is clear and loud even without an amp. I'm almost sorry that i sold them with the car they were in..

I have these in my 2005 Dodge SRT-4 and I love them. I would put them up against a Kicker set up any day. I am running them straight of the head unit and never turn it past 2/3 or it gets too loud. I have yet to hear any distortion from them and they are easily heard over my two Solo Baric L7s!! I was so impressed I am replacing my Solos with a Hifonics Olympus 12". My only complaint is that the cross over is a little bulky. It was hard to find a place and I ended up putting them inside the door.

good for 5.25's
for 5 1/4" speakers these aren't half bad at this price. they sound good and with the grills and the LEDs they look amazing if you're gonna show them off
BE WARNED: the crossovers for these things are damn big. I installed them in the doors of my '87 CRX, which is a very small car and had to really fight to find a place to put them where I could still roll my windows down all the way. If you're installing these in a 4-door or an SUV it probably wont be an issue, but if it's for a 2-door then you might want to look elsewhere

Great little speakers
I love these speakers. Right now I have 4 of them hooked up to a 90w RMS x 4 amp and they sound amazing. The highs are extremely clear and the mids sound pretty good. They are able to keep up with my FI 18" BTL! I love how I can have all the windows down on the highway and I can still hear my music perfectly.
For the price you simply can't beat them.
