Great Amp - Great Price

I have had this amp installed in my car, pushing 2 JL Audio 12w0's for the past 6 months, and have not had any problems. This amp has been great for my system and I would recommend this Amp to anyone looking to power Subwoofers in the 500-600w RMS range. I'm no expert, but I did a lot of research looking for the best amp for my money and this was perfect. It may not be a known brand, but it delivers power.

*Pros*
- Price
- Sleek Look - Cool blue LED lights
- 600w RMS Power
- Easy to install
- Comes with Bass Control switch

*Cons*
- Not a known brand
- Gets pretty hot (but what amp doesn't?)

Overall, Great Amp, Great Price, Great Quality, Perfect for what I needed, and have not had any problems with it over the past 6 months. Hope this helps anyone thinking about purchasing this amplifier.

decent amp for price

i have this hooked up to one kenwood kfc 3012. it drives it nicely, but i would hesitate to add another sub too it. after long use the amp can get warm and I've only had it shut off on me once. the bass remote is nice, and it is easy to operate and install. nice blue LED lines the amp edges. looks cool if you care for that sort of thing. great price @ sonic electronics!

Good Amp!!

I love this amp, It has great power at low cost. I have two sony 15's and they hit hard!!....I have this amp with a 2 farad capacitor and it hurts my ears when i turn it all the way up. This Amp has a lot of power when hooked up right and for a good price. I would recommend this amp to anyone.....

Not Recommended!!

This amp has power when it is on. Mine goes into protect mode everytime I play it, only playing for about 5 minutes. I only have 1 dual 4 ohm 12 inch sub wired down to 2 ohms rated at 500w RMS.
It heats up too fast and goes into protect mode way too much. I would not recommend this amp. I am going to upgrade to class D.

Decent little amp

Ive had this amp for a little over 6 months now and haven't really had any problems so far. Does get a little bit warm after being pushed hard after 15-20 min on 3/4 gain, but its not too bad. I have ran a cheap set of components off it and it produced some pretty impressive sound quality out of them and they got loud. I'd say if you're gonna run lower power subs or some components this would be an ok amp to suit you're needs. For the price, its a nice little amp, but if you really want allot of clean power, look further.

hitron amp

i bought this amp to power one of my kicker subs it has worked relatively well but the led lights have been really quirky they are either working or not working the amp works great but the l.e.d's are very upsetting guess u get what u pay for

power

This is possibly one of the best amps in its class. I have it hooked to 2 kicker comp 15s and I slam it all day every day and it doesn't heat up or anything. I also abused it a lot when I was tuning it and it lasted. I highly recommend this amp the pice is cheap and the sq and power is amazing

Surprised me!

I bought this amp around December 09 to run on an old JL w3 for a while till i got my 15 inch Type-R, then i was planning on runnin it on that till that sub killed it....wow was wrong! This little cheapo amp pounds my 15 all day and gets pretty hot but not close enough to kick it into protection mode. For kicking a 15 inch type-r the way it does, id say its doing close to the power it rates at.I thought the blue lights were gonna be kinda cheesy and half work but i have to say they are sweet at night and everything on this amp is holding up perfect as its going on its 7th month.

Great cheap amplifier

For the price, this sub cant be beat. Been using it for about 6 months now and haven't had any issues with it. Build quality isn't the greatest and there is no way its putting out the power it say it does, but the price is right!

Problem Solved! (And Then Some!!!)

Car is a 2002 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, with the "AudioPhile" Pioneer CD-6 six-disc CD head-unit. I had a Blaupunkt THA1250 and a .5 Farad Capacitor powering my Pioneer Premier 10" Shallow Mount 2 Ohm SVC sub in custom box built to recommended volume. That amp stated 300W RMS @ 2 Ohm and thats the rating of that shallow mount.

Problem I had was that the stock headunit seems to be programmed to attenuate (retard/lessen the volume of) the bass frequencies when it was in the last like 3 bars of the volume graph.

Even after tons of fiddling, though it was better it wasn't "right"... so I decided to get this cheaper amp that pumps out twice as much RMS power at the same Ohm load.

Total BONUS is that this amp has a Sub-Sonic Filter dial you can set from 20Hz-to-50Hz, this seemed to help the real low tones get clearer sounding too.

Anyhoo... with this HITRON amp installed, I was able to FADE the headunit a lil more towards the front channels to increase the highs and the lows are just as strong even with technically less signal going to them just because this amp has more power (headroom) overall then the Blaupunkt.

I originally chose the Blaupunkt because of it's slim design that fit under my rear seats.. even with them folded down. The Blaupunkt is a great amp, don't get me wrong, it's just that the issue with my headunit made an amp with more power like this HITRON a better solution. And it didn't hurt that it was HALF the price!~! This HITRON amp is not installed under the seat though... but thats OK because I eventually ended-up taking out all the plastics behind the rear seat to squeeze out us much space to work with for the subwoofer enclosure... so now I just fab'd a couple of wood pieces to mount he amp and capacitor vertically to the side of the sub.

Oh yeah... and this amp looks awesome at night with the blue LED illumination edging it has.

The thing flat out sounds great... and at half the cost of that other one... and I even think it sounds better.. at least for the lowest of lows I think it does... and it's probably because of the Sub-Sonic-Filter feature that it has.

NOTE: It didn't seem like the Remote Bass Controller made a difference in the sound. Maybe it does... but hard to tell as loud and strong as I have it bumping now!

Umm... I'm only feeding it with.. I think.. a 6 Gauge power wire... and it's fine!

And as always... the shipping is incredibly fast! Although I am in Cali also so your mileage may vary on shipping times.

Hitron HA-1000.1 (Black)

I have this amp hooked up to one 12" kicker cvr and the sub is not getting the power it needs. I wish I had spent more on a different amp..

Cheap Cheap Cheap !!!

69.99 for this amp 69.99 for the Custom Enclosures 12" Round Hole, Long Rear Slot Ported Enclosure and 1 Hifonics HFi12D4 (HFi 12D4) for 39.99 = $179.97 of goodness. doesn't get any cheaper the amp doesn't get hot, my trunk it lit up wit blue and it makes my one 300 watt (rms) Hifonics 12" sound like 2 12's / can't go wrong with this set up

BUY THE AMP !!!!

Brand New

I wasn’t expecting much because of the price but I have to say I’m happily surprised. I bought this amp for my son’s truck which is a Nissan Frontier king cab and limited on space. We’re using an older head unit, a Pioneer DEH-P2900MP and a single Polk Audio DB1040 10” subwoofer. The added remote is a must since the bass easily overpowers the stock speakers. Since the amp is exposed in the back the blue lights are a little annoying but my son likes it. I've yet to get the amp very hot but I'm sure my son will put it through its paces. It's still too new to tell you its durability but so far I'm very happy.

Follow-up Review

Changed my setup. I now have the Hitron HA-1000.1 powering 1 (Round) 12" Hifonics Brutus B12D4. They're rated as 600 W RMS and I have it wired to present a 2 Ohm load to the Hitron. And Wooo! it's turning heads! =}

To have the Bass Remote Control work.... you have to have the "Bass Boost" switch turned on. (Doh! Ding!-Ding!-Ding!)

Just today I was bumpin' the ever-lovin snot outta my system for a 75 mile round-trip and the Hitron did just fine.

P.S. - Do yourself a favor and don't mess with those Hi-to-Low RCA converters. If you don't have low-level outputs.. bite-the-bullet and get a new headunit that does. You'll be soo much happier.

hitron mono amp

this mono amp is very good for the price. i hate when people complain about the max power read the specs and look for the RMS then you wont have any complaints. the power is good for the price and not bad looking either.

Nice amp

This is truly a very nice amp. READ THE SPECS!! This amp is not going to hit at 1000 watts. It's 1000 max power. It powers my 05 kicker cvr 12" very well at 4 ohms. I would recommend this amp to anyone that is looking for great bass at a very cheap price. You get more than what you pay for!!!

Great amp especially for the money!

I am amazed that such a cool amp was so inexpensive. It has blue LEDs mounted all over and it just looks tight. Mine is currently pounding on a Power Acoustik P2-10W.... this sub is nearly the perfect match for the amp. The RMS value for the amp is 600watts and the sub is 500 RMS even though they listed it as 600 RMS on this website... If i had to do it again the hitron would be the one i'd buy and i'd pair it with the Power Acoustik FUBAR-10W instead of the P2-10W

hitron

I bought this amp(bout 6 months ago) with two 4ohm single voice coil 250w rms subs in very small 0.75cu airspace wedges to go behind the seat on my 93 dodge ram reg cab. they hit very nice, they were 20$ JVC strobo woofers. wrecked that truck and bought a 97 ford f150 ext. cab. had a small back seat, so i've upgraded to dual voice coil audiobahns in much larger boxes. One 500w rms audiobahn 4ohm per coil. One 700w rms audiobahn high excursion 4ohm per coil. I WAS powering these too with a sony xplod 1000.2 (200w rms X 2 @ 2ohm) i had the gain cranked to max and had added a fan onto it to keep it from overheating, at the same time i still had the hitron running the 2 JVC subs @ 2ohms. i THOUGHT the hitron was 2ohm stable at lowest, but i got curious one day and hooked the two audiobahns in parallel for a 1ohm load. but i was sure the amp wouldnt take it, the site states 2ohm. hooked it up, turned the gain 1/4th of the way up and fired it up and it sounded GOOOOD.. amp didnt get too hot so i cranked the gain eventually to a lil over 3/4ths. jesus is this lil amp pumpin out sum power! you could put a full can of beer in my cupholder and it would dance like crazy. perfectly stable at 1ohm. i would suspect with the gain around 3/4ths im getting between 700-850w RMS out of this little sucker at 1ohm. it gets hot, very hot, but wont go into thermal protect if you stay around 3/4ths gain and its in an OPEN area. but hell the thing gets hot at 2ohms... Im going to add four 40mm fans on the air breather areas in the corners. all in all for 80$ you WILL NOT find an amp putting out more power unless its used. not distorted at 1ohm, but not 100% clean either. A+ to whoever hitron is.
