not bad
Was very impressed my the midbass of these speakers. That's about it the tweeters were super harsh! I couldnt turn them down enough. Ended up getting a set of Rockford Fosgate t1 components and they are much better.

Great stuff
I've had these for about 2 months now and sounds great. ZERO complaints and neither do all of the other guys running them. Just do a search on them and read all of the forums. Can't go wrong here guys.

Very Nice Speakers
I bought these about three weeks ago along with some Image Dynamics CTX-4 coax speakers and let me tell you that they sound amazing. It took about a week at 80hz for them to break in but after that all I have is sonic bliss. If you are looking for a great set of comps up front and a matching set of coax's in the rear, you would be hard pressed to find a better set for the money. Thanks Sonic for getting me the lowest price.

great speakers
I purchased these speakers about a month ago for a product change(mb quart, boston acoustic, and I will say these are by far cleaner and more crisp without being harsh. Its all in the setup (tweeter angles and proper mounting-solid- that makes or brakes any speaker setup) try mounting your subs in a cardboard box and check clarity.
pros- clean clear crisp detailed tweeters (slightly bright without the metal dome tweeter ring) does not require a lot of power to get to a reasonable level. I have 300 watts feeding a ID12 V.3 D4 and 50 watts feeding the CTX65CS components and the highs are even with the bass. Changing that amp to 75x2 for more headroom this weekend when I get time.
cons- don't really have any that I can find
If you are on a budget and want really nice clear sound I would say get a set of these components and mount them correctly with at least 75 watts rms clean power and enjoy.

Pleased & Surprised
I kind of went out on a limb ordering these (came in a combo package with CTX-6.5 the ID12 D4 and the RE Audio XTX-500.5) I had never heard of Image Dynamics until I had shopped around for a new system for my 04 Trailblazer. I am by no means an audiophile, but I know what sounds good. You can definitely push things things without worrying.
I was extremely pleased with this component set. The clarity of this set is spectacular. The tweeters can be kind of harsh, especially if you leave the crossover at it's default level. I took care of most of it through my head unit(the crossover case is really hard to open once mounted).
The woofers are also great. They have a pretty tight punch to them, even at fairly low listening levels (of course it depends on what you're listening to). I still have some tweaking to do on my stereo to get it just right, but overall the frequency response is impressive. I don't know how good the real low end of these are, because I rely more on my sub to take care of that. What I do know is my system is one of the best I've personally heard in a car thank in part to these. They are loud, bright and clear.

Good Speakers
I bought this product from sonic electronix about 6 months ago and put them in the factory locations of my Honda Fit. I use an Eclipse CD5030 to control them and have them powered with 2 channels of a older RF amp. I went to these from a pair of Infinity Kappa Perfect 6.1's and the difference is night and day. The midbass is ok, but not as great as I expected even with in and out sealed doors, but I got them for the tweets and those sound great to my ears. They seem to take power very well and I haven't been able to crank them up to hear distortion without first reaching my own limit.
My only complaint is the size of the basket is waaay bigger than I planned on. I like how beefy it feels (almost like a small sub) but it absolutely would not fit in my doors without spacers. And by that I mean a lot of space-rs. Had to find that sweet spot that would give clearance through the opening without hitting the back of my door covers!
I would definitely recommend these to anybody looking for great sound at an affordable price.
Sonix price was amazing and they arrived in perfect condition.

Well worth the money
These thinks absolutely kick. Hard unbelievable value for the money. Used to own Infiniti kappas and these thing blow them completely out of the water. Voice seperation is great with these. Even better is they can be driven by crappy stock head unit power. I wouldn't recommend that, but I have done that and they still sound great

clear sound
I'm very happy with the sound quality. Vocals and instruments are clear and never distorted at any volume. Do not expect a lot of bass from these speakers. You will need a sub to give any kind of quality bass, how much bass you want is purely a personal taste. I have these speakers connected to an alpine pdx f4 amp,HU is a Sony xav 701 hd (great sound quality and screen but nothing else!!! Its the only reason why I dont rip it out) and bass comes from a kicker hideaway. Great surround sound!

Awesome..
Overall great speakers!! Very nice and clean SQL !! Mid bass is nice and tight, but not to much of thump.
The tweeters are "bright" but can be turned down. Clarity is not an issue with these speakers..
Great CS for the price as well !!

Good for the money
The mid bass on this system is pretty good right out of the box. The tweeters are very harsh ran through the passive xover that comes with them (even on the -3db setting). Originally I had 2 sets running off a Fosgate T1000-4 with one set per channel.
I changed my setup to run both sets active through a Cache cex on the same amp and it made a world of difference. The highs became more crisp instead of harsh and the mid range seemed to push through better.
I highly recommend these, but ditch the passive xovers that come with them and get a good active xover or an amp capable of running active.

ID CTX 6.5cs
Very good components. Running off an alpine amp. Could use more power but they sound good with the 100wats I'm pushing to them. Cone from the factory with the crossover at the plus 3DB setting. A little bright in my car but once moved to the 0 soot, they sing.

Great but midbass is lacking.
These are really great comps. My only gripe with them is they don't have as much midbass as I'd like. I'm not expecting these to sound like a subwoofer, but bass guitar and kick drum just seem to be severely lacking. They blend in great with a subwoofer though. Imaging is wonderful. The tweeters are a bit bright. I have them on -3 setting, my input may be biased due to the fact that it's been a while since I've had tweets in my car, but over time, my ears adapted and the tweeters became softer. Overall, they are really great comps. Plenty of volume, and they sound really clean too!

great sound
These replaced the factory bose in my 09 escalade, and there is absolutely no comparison! Mid bass Fit stock location, tweeters you have figure out own mounting.

Amazing product
These components are absolutely amazing. I have the components in the front and 2 5.25 inch coaxials in the rear, all running on an ID 4 channel amp. These speakers blew the Alpine Type-R's out of the water. They sound crisp and clear at all volume levels.
Pros: great price, clear at all levels, easy install, great look
Cons: tweeters can be a bit harsh, not amazing unless amplified

1 word....Awesome.
Bought these for the wife's car. I already own the chameleon set of ids so my expectations for these where high to begin with. But I can tell you that my expectations were far exceeded. These things sound as good as my set and I paid less than half the price for the ctx's. I highly recommend these speakers. I only gave them 4 stars on ease of use cause they have such a deep mounting depth that I had to make custom speaker rings for em.

Absolutely stunning performance.
I'll never buy infinite kappa again after these. Sound quality is gery well balanced.
