everything I was hoping for and a bit more

To all of you giving this a negative review because it wont perform at 1ohm....read the manual It states its not stable at 1ohm. Have this hooked up to a 120.9w 12" kappa subwoofer with the switch set on 2ohm. This puts it at roughly 800 watts and it is crisp clear and more than loud enough for my boat application. Yes that's correct I put it in a boat and it sounds great. Would definitely recommend this product. Run a good amp kit like nvx keep it at 2ohm or higher and this amp will not let you down. Also love the quick shipping and helpful courteous staff at sonicelectronix. Keep up the good work

Kappa ONE

this is a quality Amp produced by Harmon Quadron and if you run it at 1 ohm you cant read instructions as this amp is only stable at 2 ohms! I wan one for my 2 Kappa 10" subs as it is 800w RMS and the two Kappa 10's are 700 RMS together. I WANT

Great Product

Bought this amp to run two Infinity Kappa Perfect 12 VQ.

The amplifier sounds great and has a fair amount of control available. I bench tested the amp with 2 Infinity Kappa Perfect 12 VQ and also with those two plus a Kicker S12L74. I was quite suprised how much power the amplifier was capable of putting out and how cool the amp stayed while doing it.

Excellent product, would recommend for normal setups, and also stealth setups where air flow may be low.

Infinity kappa one

Awesome service, fast delivery, amazing product, it powers up a single type x 12 wired at 2ohm sitting in the trunk of a corolla eventho it's tamed down it rattles your eyeballs it does suck a lot of power tho I had to get a kinetik 1200 to keep my main battery from dropping to 9v, this amp has everything I needed to bump loud and clear

GREAT AMP!!!!

First, This amp is one ohm stable. i am currently running a single 10" at 1 ohm(dual2) and this thing really punches! just make sure not to over power your subwoofer too much! i clamped this amp at close to 1300 rms at 1 ohm. I have never seen such a small amp put out so much power. This amp will turn off if your impedance's get under .6 ohms i believe. get a stable sub.

Solid!

I bought this to power two Kappa 10's. The sound is so clean--almost no distortion as the volume and gain increase with a flat EQ. I was amazed at how small it is! I installed this and the Kappa Four under each of my car's front seats with no clearance issues. I am extremely pleased with yet another Infinity product.

avoid

do not listen to what others say about running this amp at 1 ohm. it is definitely not stable at 1 ohm and it will overheat and shut down. i was using this to power a t212 rf subwoofer. wired it to 1 ohm hoping to get close to the 1200 rms this sub can take. had a custom amp rack built around having matching kappa amps just to find out they are worthless. should have just spent the extra 400 and gotta alpine or sundown amps

Works good

This amp is great but I would not recommend it for 1ohm use. At 1ohm with max volume and a lot of bass hits, this thing will overheat in 15-30 minutes. Probably faster on a hot day.

If you do run it at 1ohm then don't expect to be pushing 1200w to your speakers at all times. I am running it at 1ohm now but I don't blast it for more than a couple minutes and it works great.

It is solid at 2 ohms.

excellent cool running amp

If you are looking for good clean power at a reasonable price then the Infinity Kappa One amp may be the one for you. Very nice design, looks very clean in the car and runs very cool. I'm powering 2 12" reference subs and couldn't be happier. I'm running the amp at 4 ohms, it is stable down to 2 ohms. My only negative on the amp is that the adjustment dials are on the end of the amp. I also have a Kappa Four and the adjustments are on top on that amp. Makes it a little easier to adjust once mounted in the car. Otherwise it's one of the best amps I've ever owned.
