I bought these speakers and the 6 1/2 version, while ive only installed the 6 1/2"s in a previous vehicle, powered by a kenwood 4ch amp pushing 85w @ 2ohm, they sounded incredible, super crisp and clear. i am now installing the 5 1/4 set into my current vehicle and have purchased the current model of the kenwood amp that powered the 6 1/2" set, which will put out 100w @ 2ohm. due to the 5 1/4" being a small speaker size i imagine the very low end will suffer, which is why i am also going to be running an 8" sub to complete the setup.

Crisp clean and LOUD!
I got these to replace my Kappa 6x8's that were discontinued years ago. The old Kappa's were amazing and I only replaced them after a careless mechanic smashed one of my tweeters. It turned out to be a good thing because I am seriously impressed by these new Kappa 5.25's. They are loud and crisp with tremendous frequency response and sensitivity. I'm running these with an audiophile quality Pioneer deck and an old school MTX Elite 1000.4 4 channel amp. I highly recommend these speakers. Please amplify to reach their full potential!
