Very Good Speakers - Bass okay & Grilles too Big
Bought these for the kick panel locations in my '66 mustang. They have great sound clarity even at high volumes being driven by a kenwood 100w per channel amp, but the bass could be a little better. This could be a result of my mounting location...not much free space/air behind those kickpanels. Also I have some boom mat speaker cups on the back of them, that I may remove to see if it improves the bass. My only other complaint is the speaker grille is pretty bulky...stands almost 3/4 to 1 inch tall...that's too big for a door/panel designed speaker, so I'm giving them 5/5 overall but 4's for design and features. I really like the clear, crisp sound, but will probably have to find some pioneer or aftermarket grilles for them. Hard to rate durability when I just bought them from you guys at sonic about 6 months ago...so a 4, cause the grilles could be problematic.

I got these for my 08 accord in the rear and they fit without too much hassle and the stock covers fit right over top. They sound better than stock, but i think maybe one would still need an amp/or more power to really get the full sound. Bass is ok but not that impressed.
