Infinity Kappa 10 VQ

I have looked at and listened to other subs but Infinity just are the best. For quality and price compared to higher priced subs. If you look and compare the specs, you can't go wrong. If your looking for a nice even sound in your car or truck. You want to get these, 400 wts. is all you need and it will still turn heads.

Simply Exelent

This sub is absolutely one of the most accurate, tight, efficient, loud, sub-woofer's out there. One 10" perfect properly powered out preforms two 10" of lesser quality. In a nutshell
Infinity Perfect is all in its model name.

Very Nice/Clean Sub

After building a box for my kicker, a friend wanted to build a box for the two 10" Infinity's I sold him. I never had them in my car, but they sound amazing in his car. The box is a 2.4 cubic ft. ported enclosure tuned to 35hz. It pounds, you can hear him coming from quite a large distance.

Great subwoofers with options for different boxes

I installed two of these subs in a friends Ford Escape. I built the box at 4.75 cu ft net tuned to 34hz. These subs sound great. They are now Sundown Audio SA-10's, but they still surprised me as I have been installing car stereos for over 10 years. They hit low with authority and had very good upper range. They can take a bit more power than 400wrms. I installed an Audiopipe AP15001D and wired the subs to a 1 ohm load so they were receiving quite a bit of watts. They should be able to receive roughly 600wrms depending on your box. Maybe 700wrms in a sealed box. The only con I have about these subwoofers is that they require an awful lot of airspace for a ported enclosure. 1.25-2.5 cu ft of airspace is alot for a 10" subwoofer. So he has a big box that takes up most of his back area of his Escape. To be honest, the box is big enough for two 12's or 2 15's. 5 cu ft net of airspace for optimal output is alot. That is in the range of how much 12's and some 15's require. Being that they sound much better ported than in a sealed box. I gave it two stars for ease of use because of the large amount of airspace this subwoofer requires. It really limits you on vehicles you can install this in. If it were me and I had a 4-5 cu ft box, I would purchase 2 12's and it would be much much louder. The inserts are nice, but you really only need one as most people wont use the one for an IB setup.
