Good and cheap

Good product, easy to use and durable. Very helpful in installing sound dampener. It's also cheap for a proper rubber roller.

Why pay more?

This roller is more than capable of getting the job done. One trick you can do for tight curves is to use the handle of the roller to get the dampening material to conform to them.

All in all, a roller is roller. So, why pay more than this?

NVX Sound Dampening Roller

Amazing roller gets the job done well. Seems like everytime i got into little spaces that i couldnt use the roller I cut my hands up this roller saves your hands and saves time. I did have the nut that holds the roller on come off while using it but its easy to put back on, I put it back on by hand. Worth the money for sure.

Very nice and works very well. I would have never did as good as i did installing nvx sound dampening without this. This and the material is all you need it makes the job very simple. I would reccomend this to anyone who wants a good durable roller.

NVX Roller

I rubbed on about 70-80 sq ft of dampener with this roller, and I wasn't particularly nice to it and it did it's job and is still as new. Works well working dampener into the recesses of sheet metal, but that being said, it is just a medium duty tool. Be decent with it and it will last you a while. Not really any hidden features, it just rolls dampener.

There's not much to say. It held up through the job. Hopefully I won't have to use it again for awhile.

Works fine

Bought from Sonic along with Maxxlink VSD-TK 5 pc set. Basic shipping was fast. The roller worked very well. I have large hands and was able to use the roller without a problem. Only thing- check the tightness of the Nyloc nut and bolt that holds the roller on the handle. Mine popped apart while I was on the 5th and last section of damping material. A simple twist together plus an extra 1/8" turn and it did not come off again. I would buy again.

A lot of materual

Ordered this for my F Super Cab. I just wanted some material to apply to the inside of the door skins. It is a lot more material than I needed. Ford already has a small amount of sound dampening material. It did quiet the interior as expected. Great product. Came with no instructions. I just used some alcohol to clean the surface first.

Takes a beating

This thing can take a beating to say the least. I used it for about 5 consecutive hours to install my trunk kit and it only unscrewed once. I was using as much pressure as I could on certain parts to make sure the sound dampener would stick and this took it all. By the time I was done, the rubber roller seemed to have shrunk a little but I expected that. I wish I would have gotten the smaller roller as well for the tight spaces, but this was a great help to get all the air bubbles out. It's also really durable.

Rubber Roller

This is a heavy duty roller that is very durable. Ive used it for many applications and was always pleased with its performance. I would recommend this to anyone trying to apply sound dampening material.

does the job well

i used this roller to install a 40sq ft bulk kit, and when i was done the roller was still in great shape. The metal bracket that holds the roller to the handle could be a bit stronger, but it held up for the time that i needed it.

Rubber. Roller

Easy to use, only a couple of extra dollars with bundle purchase. A very primitive design, but it works well. I used the rounded wooden handle as much as the roller side.

Impressive product

This is a very stout, impressive product. It feels thicker than the famous competition and there is no smell to it. The sheets you get are sort of a long/narrow size, so they are great for running vertically up the doors and on the outer door skin. You'll definitely want a source of heat when working with these and really, there isn't a better value for the kind of product you are getting here.

NVX 12ft.

This is great material for a great price. Ive bought multiple nvx dampening products and have been pleased with everyone. This this easily applied with a nix roller and contains the perfect amount plus some to use on your doors.

Used on rear door skins. No smell, easy to manipulate.

Great for Rattles

Installed this stuff in my front doors and enough for the speaker area in the rear doors. It only slightly reduced the road noise in my car, but tightened up the bass and reduce rattles by a huge degree. This stuff is easy to install and can often be bought on sale.

Glad I used it or something like it.

I went ahead and punched this roller due to a special when I purchased a 36sq ft Roadkill Bulk Pack. I could have done the job without a roller, BUT, It would not have gone as easy or as successfully! Based on other reviews the first thing I did was tighten the end nut of the roller with a socket. The net is a nylon locking nut. I had no problems with it loosening. This product can and will bend if you apply a lot of pressure, to me this was a non issue. I think if you are just going to do a few vehicles than you can't beat the value of this roller. If I was a professional installer I might would want something more.
I do feel like I was able to more successfully apply the sound deadener with the roller. I was able to roll out air bubbles and achieve good solid adhesion.
So far I have only used it on my four doors. I do recommend some sort of roller for installing sound deadening.

Decent Dampening

I have had this for almost three months on my trunk lid and it has made a big difference. The rattling is not as bad as it used to be and it made a difference inside the car.

DON'T buy this if you live in arizona because the heat is too much for it.

NVX SDDK12

Excellent sound deadener for the money, very thick, no smell once applied, super tacky and sticks even to dirty surfaces. Applied in my doors it made a big difference inside the car, applied in the trunk the bass sounds much better inside but it didn't stop my trunk from flexing and sounding like it's about to explode. All in all excellent product and would definitely recommend!

Not very good

The roller came apart in less than a quarter of the installation of a NVX kit. Was not expensive but would not recommend.

Nice and durable

When you first get it, it looks amazing. It's a very nice wood and rubber roller. it's tough and it handled sitting in my pickup for a few hours in 100+ degree heat. It didn't bend and I applied a lot of pressure.

Its good for flat surfaces, but you could actually get away with using the edge of a tool or carpet knife. The roller doesn't get deep into cracks and creveses.

Rubber Roller

Easy to lay the sound deadening with this roller. I had the lock nut come off once but easy fix. The handle on it works great to get into some of the odder shapes on the floor.
Would not attempt to install sound deadening wihtout this, or something like it.

This was very easy to work with. It seems to be as good as any of the more well know and more expensive brands. Sound dampening at least the doors is necessary to seriously improve the quality of sound in your vehicle.

Best way to improve your system's sound

I was desperate to obtain a warmer, natural sound in the Rav4 I had just bought and did not want to lose any storage room. I had better speakers and small woofers installed in the rear speaker compartments but was still left with a tinny sound. Advised by the installers of the improvement benefits of this sound dampener, I had it installed and then came back for more installation in the rear doors and rear floor (I had the front doors and front floor fitted initially). I am very pleased with the improvement and it is definitely worth the investment.

I installed four 6x9 speakers in my car recently and noticed that the doors and trunk were rattling. I was recommended this sound damping for my car. I found it very easy to install and it made a huge difference. I noticed a huge change from not only on the inside but on the outside of my car. Best Sound Deadener on Market!!

I had bought the NVX 12 sq. ft. sound deadener and WOW!!! this stuff works better than dynamat, fat mat, second skin, you name it, it is the best on the market, with the best price on Sonic electronix!!!! Major Improvement

I ordered the pack so I could take care of a few flex and crackle issues I had on my roof, I applied the material in about 100 degree heat and it stuck and stayed easily. I used the nvx roller to adhere it and it worked nicely. The difference was night and day, it's tighter, cleaner and harder hitting. I did 2 layers above the subs and 2 layers above front seats in my ext cab pickup. Im running 2 15s on 3000rms so you know if it worked for me, it will work for you

Good stuff easy to apply does the job

After an accident i decided to treat 2 doors with this product. The other 2 doors use the Raamatt product which is more expensive. Application and overall sound damping is very very close. Next vehicle I will likely do the entire job with NVX. It is amazing how far this stuff has come since the original tar no stick heat gun application stinky dynamat product back in the 1990's.

Very Thick

This kit wont take your stock stereo and turn it in to a pavement shaker but it will help kill rattles and really helps clean up the sound. Its thick and very sticky so installation could be done by hand (I just used fist pressure) to work it on to the panels and make sure they are clean! Its somewhat easy to contour to corners and edges once cut in to smaller pieces and best of all, no smell!

Overall, my road noise was still there (pretty sure you need to deaden your entire car for that be noticeable) but I did find my music with a lot of mid, such as metal, sounded MUCH better in my standard coax alpines.

Very slick tools to efficiently slip wires/cables into car interiors

This kit was recommended by the Sonic Professional Installer staff to slip a wiring harness from the trunk beneath leather seat corner, beneath door entry panels into plastic wire channel, and on through the dash of a 96 Lincoln Town Car. I was dubious that it would be needed but found it protected the continuity of wire insulation, made the job easier, and was indispensable for removing the plastic fasteners holding the knee protection panels beneath the dash. Most home workshops do not have tools equal to the job that can prevent gouges and mars in these expensive interior panels. They are sturdy and well worth the price.

Cheap and Handy

This was one of the cheapest rollers I could find, and it worked great for applying the NVX 90Mil deadener. Would definitely recommend.

I got this roller with the NVX sound dampner and the roller works good but dose bind up time from time and the wheels will run on the metal framing. Still works and good for the price. Just wish it being a simple design it worked a bit better. But still would recommend for the price point.

I like this sound deadner, before I would use peel and seal in my doors but got fed up with the thiner material so I bought this. I have used it in different cars, family and friends and my own and I like how easy it is too cut, and apply. Its tacky but not tacky enough that if you accidently stick it in the wrong spot you cant remove it. I also use the nvx roller which makes it allot easier to apply then just by hand. Iv had mine installed in my doors and trunk for over two years in the northern cali weather and still running strong without that nasty odor people think deadner has. Over all i would reccomend it to anyone looking to improve their midbass and stop those trunk rattle vibrations at a good cost.

I would recommend not to leave them in direct sunlight or in 90° or greater heat prior to use. This might never come into play depending on where you live, but in Florida it's always an issue, even in our air-conditioned garage. The versatility of the different style tools makes for easier removal depending on where and what panel needs to be removed. I would recommend these tools for any installer, wether weekend warrior or professional shop.

Holy grail of speakers

So I have owned 15 to 20 different car audio systems in my 21 years of driving and I also owned a high end home theater installation company in south florida so its safe to say I know good sound quality. This Kappa 600 system is the best sounding system I have ever had in my car or anyone's car for that matter. It is so dam clean and most importing its clean even when playing loud which was the most important factor for me since I listen to my music loud a buck. The 6.5 weigh more then some peoples subs and it built very well. the crossovers are again, as big as some peoples amps. Now I know the price tag isn't cheap but if your looking at these then you have seen other sets like JL Audio (which I just had and replaced with this) Alpine, Focal, Morel, CDT Audio. Now Ill say this Kappa 600 is a much much better value since I have paid more and sometimes even double to have alittle less quality sound for the names listed above. As for the rest of my system I am running 3x Sundown 8saV3's to a CT sound 3k Team amp, and the kappa's are on a Infinity KappaFour 4ch amp for now as I just installed it using the included Passive crossovers. I was thinking I would just do an Active setup using a Helix DSP but figured I would try the Kappa passive crossover for now. Last but not least I am only running this setup as a 2way because I am waiting on my custom pillars to come in so I can goto the 3 way system and I can only imagine how much nicer its going to sound which is really hard to believe to be honest. Hats off to Infinty as I knew this would sound good based on other reviews but I really didn't think it would be the best system Ive heard SQ wise.

Upgraded my 2014 Tundra stock system (non-JBL). Kept the stock HU and added a Kappa K4 amplifier with these Perfect 600's in a 3-way set-up with Perfect 300M's in the dash and 62.11I's in the rear. A Dremel was my best friend for this install as I had to make more room in the stock space for the mids and then used a hole saw to mount the tweeters in the A-pillars. I had to Dremel the back of the recessed tweeter housing - shaving everything down except for the bevel that angles the speaker towards you.

Overall, I am pleased with my choice and I'm incredibly impressed with how the mids and tweeters sound together. It is a very pure, full sound that captures every single detail of the song. I am discovering discrete parts and details of songs that I never noticed before. I am, however, slightly disappointed with the range of the 6.5"s in this set up, but I imagine in a 3-way the lows are distributed almost evenly between the dash mids and 6.5"s. I strongly suggest planning to add a sub or two to round out the sound. For reference, I mostly listen to progressive metal/rock and haven't tried to play anything that is primarily bass driven yet.

Pros:
Very impressive, clear mids/highs
Infinitely better sound than stock

Cons:
Completely custom installation (at least for a Tundra)
Lack of lows - basically requires a subwoofer for full range

Very nice speakers

These speakers are the best I've ever owned (also the most $ I've dished out for some speakers, but you can tell the difference when you jump up in price point even from $200-300 components). Got these when they were on sale for a decent deal and I felt justified in dishing out the cash for some nice components. These things are loud, crisp, clean and clear. Have both sets hooked up to a Kappa K4 giving them the whole 100w these want and they handle it beautifully. Couldn't be any happier and looks like I won't be swapping out these any time soon.

CONS:
-Crossovers are HUGE, almost the size of 3 blu-ray cases stacked on top of each other. Due to this, I had to mount the crossovers by the amp for the fronts and run the speaker wires up for each channel as my front doors weren't able to accommodate the crossover. The rear doors I had to do some serious MacGyvering to integrate the crossover into the door panel. Overall, this made the install a serious PITA and I had to split it up into 2 days for doing both the fronts and rear components.

-Speaker terminals on the woofer could offer a little more clearance. It was a bit aggravating to jam the speaker wire in there with only about 1/2 inch of clearance between the terminal and the magnet housing.

-Crossover terminals can be very aggravating to jam the speaker wire in there. They are solid once they're in there, but it was another PITA to jam the 14AWG wire I had in there nicely with the screws in the way

PROS:
-Loud, crisp, clean and clear. Give them a week or two for break-in and they sound beautiful. Maybe not complete audiophile components, but they sound damn good and have that full, beautiful and complete, Harman/JBL/infinity sound

-Very solid and durable-looking feel to these; these should last me a loooong time. I don't see any reason to swap these out as long as my car is running.

Overall, the crossovers made the install a total PITA, but it was completely worth it
