"Boomy-ness"

The sub not only looks pretty and modern, but it performs very well! I power this with a 400 watt MTX Terminator amp and it is housed in a basic box purchased from Sonic Electronix. I couldn't be more happy with this set up. It is moving onto it's third car this week; originally a Grand Cherokee, then a BMW, now a Ford Explorer.

Infinity Subwoofer 1062W

First lets start with first rate shipping standards from Sonic "Bravo". I have always had the greatest respect for Infinity's engineering standards. My entire home 7.2 surround system is Infinity, driven by Sony's top of the line amp.I bought a new car with a Bose sound system from the factory and have been replacing all the speakers with Infinitys. My final speaker was the 1062W 10" subwoofer installed in a vented Bbox in my trunk. This system is powered by a 650 watt 5 channel amp, with 350 watts going to the sub.On a trip to the dealer for an oil change,I noticed that 3 mechanics where gathered around my car, then 2 salesmen came over, someone cranked it up it sounded great in that big bay area.I was told latter by the shop manager that the boys in the shop are impressed by the system and needed to know what was in the car, cause it beat the hell out of the factory Bose system.Thank's Sonic for everything.

Clean subs

Clean sounding subs, had a pair in a 1.5 cube sealed box, and they sounded great, but they werent loud enough for my huge car. I recently sold them to a friend and they kill his neon with both loudness and cleanness

Clean, tight and responsive.

I'm an old school SQ guy. I listen to blues, rock, metal, country, jazz, pretty much anything but hip hop and new rap. I wired a pair of these guys 2ohm stereo in a sealed 1.5 cubic foot sealed box. I'm driving them with a Soundstream Rubicon 2.600. They are just what I was looking for. Tight, fast and responsive. I detest loose, sloppy subs, because of what I listen to. If you want natural sounding subs, these are for you.

Pleasantly Surprised

I bought this for my teenage daughter's car. I put it in a box, hooked up the amp and it sounds great. From talking with friends, she was hoping for a 12", but is now more than happy with the performance of this single 10".

It doesn't perform quite as well as the JL 10's I have, but for the price it can't be beat.

Great sound quality sub

I have owned these for 6 months and they are great crisp clean subs that are well worth the money. Great for all music types, but if you want to bump I wouldn't recommend these as they are most sound quality subs not spl. But overall great sub for the money.

Infinity 1062W

I replaced expensive JBL woofer with the Infinity 1062W. Bass was more crisp and I am satisfied with the woofer. Recommend this woofer!

Excellent sound / great sub

Just picked up one of these to replace a Kicker aluminum cone one (CVR maybe? forget the model) and freaking WOW. Sounds WAY better... The box I have is a pre fab way too small vented box. I think its .8 cu ft VENTED. 1/2 OF the recommendation from Infinity and it sounds GREAT! Think I'm going to pick up another one and build a better box... Can't wait!

Great Sub

I purchased this to replace a Rockford P2, and could not be happier with the Infinity's perfomance. I have an Infinity Kappa 5 amp with Kappa 5.5s in the doors and Kappa 6X9's in the back deck. The 1062 is in a sealed .75 box and it is all connected to the stock Impala unit via a high to low converter.

This thing sounds great, much deeper bass than the RF P2. The whole system is clear, hits hard and as loud as I can stand it!

Loud.....while it lasted

What can I say? It was a great sub, while it lasted. Believe all the reviews that you read where it says the rubber surround isn't glued to the cone properly. It was fine for about 3 weeks and then it started to show. I never drove the sub hard and I only had 200w RMS going to it. The box was exactly as outlined in the manual.

I've since replaced this with an Re Audio 10" and couldn't be happier! Its held up great and even thought the dB rating is lower, it is louder.

Great sub

Great sub works wonderful in bandpass enclosure. Used in e30 using a cabin fired box through ski pass. Works wonders with just a $100 5 channel amp

GREAT VALUE

this subwoofer has nice punchy bass blends in perfectly with the family of tweeter boxes i bought along with it. my family and friends all say my living room sounds like a studio or theater hall. i'm using a denon AVR 5800 to power my tweeter boxes and a two channel technicalpro pa power amp to power 4 infinity 1062w sounds astonishing.

WOW!!

This product will blow your mind!! Bought this amazing 2x1 prom from Sonic Electronix about 6 months ago, to later find out this woofer is out of this world. Wanted to install both of them in my car but with ended up just one so my ears could handle the noise, had to end up selling the other one. small, classy and most of all, powerful as hell!! really happy with this product. SonicElectronix has a faithful customer in South America. Thanks!!

Very Happy!

I purchased this along with a Kicker CX 300.1 Mono Block and Bass Controller. I put it in a .75 cu ft. sealed box. This thing sounds awesome. Hit every single bass note I threw at it. I can only imagine how much harder it hits in a ported box. Remember that if your going to install this and keep your factory head unit , you need a live driver to boost the signal.

Infinity Reference 1062W

I chose this sub because I have had great experiences with infinity subs and component speakers in the past. This time was no different, the clarity and accuracy of this sub is wonderful. To be able to hear kick drum skin and flutter in such detail is something I believe most subwoofers in the same price range cant even attempt to achieve this well if at all. If realistic sound production is your goal then look no further. This sub also hits hard and fast so there is no loss of deep bass.

Great dual coil subs

I have 2 of these connected to my Kicker 550.3 amp in my 2005 ford five hundred and it sounds mint. They're bridged to the one channel that puts out about 250w at 4 ohms. They're dual coil which is perfect for the amp I have. They hit almost every note extremely well and I can't even turn it up all the way because they absolutely slam. They're in a belva ported box I bought off this website and I couldn't be happier. They looks sweet with the blue box and have mean flex on good notes. Definitely recommend.

grt fot the money!

I had 3 of these in a custom 3 chamber box with the middle one ported in my durango on an alpine 600.1. Cant beat the quality of bass for only $160 worth of woofer. I have a sundown 15 now and I have wat the 10s were lacking . More motor force and deeper bass but it did cost me 100 more than all 3 10s... ur call. Gd for the average daily or small cars.

One thing tho , I cant stand cheap cheap tinsel leads. These ones will break if ur female connectors are too tight

Great deal

A review is something you give. Do not force people to write more than they want to. The product was a good value.

Good Sub for the price.

Overall a Decent Sub for it's class. RMS rating is about accurate. I'm currently running it with a Pioneer 760w 2ch Amp, in a Ported A-Trend Single 10" Truck Box, for a Pickup truck, It's got more than enough punch. Previously had it in a '99 Isuzu Rodeo, and would have liked to have a 2nd as it could use some help filling that much space.
Would Buy again. Infinity Products have always been high on my list.
