great speakers

I found these speakers on a different site, back in 2013. Bought 2 pairs of them for around 100$.
figured 50/pair for Infinity reference series speakers it was a safe gamble, having never owned or really heard a set of infinity brand speakers. Just knew the reputation of the infinity brand.

They were installed in my 90 Integra, along with a Kenwood Excelon kdc-x494 cd head unit.

I was thoroughly impressed with the speakers, their clarity is amazing, so much so I bought a 3rd set. and at the time I'm composing this review, those original 2 pairs I bought back in 2013, still sound excellent today.

they do follow traditional characteristics of infinity mid-range coax with being "bright" and do come up short in producing a well-rounded midbass. so they may not be the best choice if there isn't a dedicated subwoofer in the vehicle's audio system to get a well-balanced or well-round sound.
( their Theile small parameters suggests that their optimal highpass crossover frequency should be set at around 170-180hz)
***if looking for a set of 6.5-ish coax speakers that can reproduce a good midbass sound, good clarity but not quite as bright as the infinity's Id suggest:
JBL GTO 6.5IN coax speakers with the selectable 0/3db switch.
they have almost or exactly the same RMS rating and freq response and sensitivity.
which gave a well-balanced sound to my entire system.
I've experimented with placing the jbls upfront and the infinity's in the rear deck and vice versa and either way the overall sound is excellent
I've also got a single JL Audio 10W1v3/4ohm sub in a sealed enclosure in my current system
all powered by an older Alpine V12 series 5ch amplifier Model: mrv-f357
which outputs 50-60 RMS watts @2ohms to the 4 stereo channels and 100-125w rms@4ohms to the 10in sub which suits my needs excellently

the infinity's just sing, powered by just a head unit and as well and sound better under a nice clean amplified power source.

couldn't be more pleased with these speakers
