The connector allows installation of aftermarket speakers without modifying the factory harness. The only issue I had was one of the wires was loose in the connector.

Purchased to install 2 pairs of Pioneer TS-D6802R in my 2007 Mustang GT with Shaker 500. Made the install easy. Make sure to check the alignment of the conductors when plugging into the car's harness. The pins of the Metra plug kept pushing out of the connector.
Plenty of slack for the install. Zip tie everything down.

Ford Speaker Connectors

Work great if you can plug them in without breaking then by pushing the wires through the back. They come two per package, I found if you bend the black wires prong down just a little they plug in pretty easy. I broke 3 on the drivers door on my 02 f350 after that I got the hang of them fortunately I bought twice as many as I needed on accident so I still have two unbroken ones left.

Great Product

I recommend that everyone use these adapters. It allows you to install aftermarket speakers quickly without compromising your factory wiring. Later if you decide to reinstall your factory speakers you can easily do so by unplugging the adapter and plugging your factory harness back into the speakers.

Worth the price

I've always been a hardwire kind of guy. The only problem with that is it gets to be a pain splicing wires and makes it a pain to uninstall speakers. The 72-5600 makes the job a snap - saves time, frustration, and retains the factory connectors. I'll use them again when the time comes!

Take it easy with these.

On my '01 F-150 supercrew, I ran into an issue with these on two of my four speakers (both back ones, for reasons unknown). In trying to get the adapter into the door fitting, one of the pins was pushed back through the adapter and fell out. Basically, you're going to want to wiggle the snot out of it in pretty much every direction when putting it in (I know, that's what she said), or it'll make it a total PITA to get both pins attached correctly. Maybe some dielectric grease would help.

Whatever. Just use caution and don't get to rowdy.

These handy-dandy items make installation a breeze. Would not think of doing it without them. Don't be cheap, spend the money so you don't have to chop up the factory wiring.

infinity reference 6032si review

I have had Alpine, JL Audio, Rockford Fosgate, and Infinity component speakers. In my opinion, the Infinity ones are the most clearest easily and provide good volume. However the Rockford Fosgate power series has way more bass than any of these component speakers I have tried with pretty good volume and descent clarity. I would recommend the Infinity for someone wanting loud clear vocals or the power series Rockfords for someone wanting good bass out of a component speaker.

Made speaker instillation easy

Used these to install two Pioneer TS-A6885R speakers in my 2010 Ford fusion se. The wires came pre crimped, just had to plug wire ends into speakers and factory harness. This made the instillation quick and easy. Definitely worth the extra little bit of cash.

Installed these in the doors of 1998 Jeep Cherokee XJ with factory Infinity sound system head unit and amp, left the factory door tweeters installed. They were a direct fit and I could not be happier with the results for the price. Also have the 6032cf model for the sound bar.

Great upgrade from factory OEM speakers

Time came to replace the factory original speakers in my 2006 Hyundai Tucson. I'm still running the factory head unit. I put the Infinity speakers in the front doors. I am impressed with the improved sound quality. I find no need to add an amp. If or when I need a new head unit, I'm confident these speakers will be up for the task.

Great upgrade to factory speakers

I installed two sets of these in my 2014 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. My Jeep came with Jeep's top of the line Alpine stereo, and it was a joke. However, adding a set of these to the sound bar and a set in the front dash completely transformed the listening experience. Huge improvement over the stock speakers without changing anything else. Highly recommend these speakers as the best bang-for-your-buck improvement over the stock system.

Great Buy

These work great for where they are. Since i can't fit the bigger magnets in the space i'm working with these are shallow enough but still able to deliver in the sound department. Just don't look for to much bass out of these little guys though.

Did the job... in my 2010 Ford Taurus All speakers.

They worked and with a little shaping even fit the slightly different tweeter connectors. You have to hold them right when snapping in because the plug leads/wires have a habit of wanting to push out.

These speaker adapters helped make the install quick and smooth with my aftermarket speakers in my 2007 f150. Yes you can cut out the factory speaker harness, solder or use other wire connectors but these save time and fit perfectly into the oem speaker harness clips.

Made install a breeze, for the most part

These speaker adapters are on the best things you can purchase if you're powering your main speakers with your head unit. There's no need to splice wires, you just plug and play. The only downside to these were that there are two common sizes for (+) terminals, and these had the smaller size, while the speakers they were hooked up to were the larger ones. I had to do some chopping to get everything to fit, but it's been on there for over 6 months with no problems. The install in my 2006 Ford Focus was so much easier thanks to these Metra adapters.

I read up on line that there were adapters to easily install aftermarket speakers in my truck. Goggled the part needed and Sonic came up by far the cheapest in price and shipping was free. Stranger yet they are the exact same parts that were three times the price and then any other store on line. Shipping came in a quick 6 days.

Works ok...

I bought these to install 4 aftermarket mids and 2 tweeters in my 2010 Taurus. They work ok. When you are trying to plug them into your speakers the wire/prongs keep pushing out of the connector bracket but if you hold them right you can connect. One thing nice -the tweeters were a different connector but if you cut the metra's plastic connector a bit and rotate them in the other way they would fit. This was convenient because I assumed all connectors were the same for Taurus speakers.

not impressed

Sound is weak. Clear...but cannot handle any bass without distortion. I'm not a bass freak...but expected way more out of a set of Infinity. I was replacing my factory speakers and am seriously debating on putting my factory speakers back. Very disappointed with bass...but they are clear. Not very loud either.

Good speakers

I upgraded the speakers that came with my 2003 Impala and these made the world of difference. I do not have an amp running them but I am planning on getting one. I have a Sony WX- gt 77UI stero and it provides enough power to them to make my car rock. Overall a great purchase.

Great Speakers

I owned these before and had them in my previous vehicle. I knew when I purchased these, I would like them, as I had used them before. These actually have some pretty good bass. They are very clean and clear. They are not subwoofers.

Quality speakers!

They sound fantastic powered by my JVC aftermarket headunit. Fit into custom cut holes in my front door where no other 6.5" speakers would be able to fit. I would highly recommend any infinity speakers.

I was on the fence with buying these at first, as I had a wiring diagram for my car and knew which factory wires were positive and negative. After using them, I can confidently say that they are worth the extra money. They made installing my new speakers idiot-proof! You literally cannot mess up your install with these. Just put the big connector on the big speaker tab, the little connector on the little speaker tab, plug the whole thing into the factory harness,and you're done. Takes all the guesswork out of the install and makes replacing speakers in the future much easier.

Had to cut the connectors off. They didn't fit spades on the Rockford Fosgate speakers I installed in place of the stock speakers. Had to cut the connectors off and use regular stay-cons (F connectors). Plugged into the stock harness with solid connections though.

Worked perfectly. The biggest surprise was that the hookup to the speakers was already there ! Speakers also worked perfectly!
Easiest job done!

I like them but have a couple of reservations.

These speakers are a big improvement over the stock Honda speakers in the front of my 2006 Accord Coupe. I spent some time on the dampening in the door panels and made a wood ring to support the speaker rather than the plastic bracket that Honda provides. Bass is quite punchy and highs are crisp.
But, the Honda head unit seems to have a built in EQ that emphasizes the 100hz and the 15k hz. This makes the speakers sound a little lacking in the midrange vocals. It seems to be much less dynamic in the vocal range than I expect. I think that JBLs would be better in this respect. Or if you have a headunit that has an EQ.

Speaker adaptor harness

Ok, these were purchased for my daughters 2002 Ford Focus ZTS - they work fine with one issue.
When you pull the factory speaker out of the harness the factory speakers are clearly marked with a positive and a negative symbol to denote which side is which polarity. The adaptor harness will only fit in one way and this is were the problem comes in, when plugging in the adaptor harness into the factory harness the adaptor harness flips the polarity.
In short what should be positive is now negative and vice versa with the negative side.
When using just make sure of where your polarity's are and how the adaptor connects to your new speakers.

I recently installed these in my Acura Integra to replace the factory pioneer units which were literally falling apart. These Infinity pieces were chosen because they were shallow mount and I knew anything I put in would be a tight fit. After installing I am pleasantly surprised with the ability to mount in shallow locations and the quality sound they produced.

Would definitely recommend to those with 94-01 Integras, 92-00 Civic, 00-09 S2000's. These will work in the factory door locations with little to no extra instal work. Plus they sound great!

Great sound off head unit - no amp

I wanted speakers that I could run off of my Kenwood head unit without running an amp to them. I tried a different brand that had a lower sensitivity, but switched to these since they had a higher sensitivity - they sound much better (and louder). I added Pioneer tweeters and JL subs...I couldn't be happier with the overall sound!
