great quality. not amp'ed yet either.
no way I would pay full retail, but that's the joy of getting audio equipment online. at 1/3 the retail price tag, I'm really happy with the audio quality. I have the bass turned down since I'm running dual subs, but the mids come out nice. the tweeter gain switch on the speakers are a nice touch, though I keep it at no gain. running off the built in amp on my JVC kdx250bt for now, and sounds awesome. the important thing is that the sound is CRISP.

Very good speakers, great factory replacements
Installed these in the rear deck of my Nissan Altima. Definitely wasn't the easiest place to install some 6x9s, but I managed. Very impressed with the sound, just don't hope for lots of low frequency bass. Mids and highs sound very good.

Good Price ,Good Preformance
I have these speakers hooked up to an amp pushing 180 rms watts @ 2 ohms, 90 rms each. I did not bridge the amp cuz it was only rated @ 4ohms bridged. They are great speakers. They blend good and help out with my 12" sub hooked to separate amp pushing 150 rms @ 4ohms. They hang with the power. For the money and sound they are very good speakers. Con is they don't come with the grilles. They are 15 bucks. They are so good im going to put some 6.5 in the doors.

great company/ product
I purchased a set of Infinity speakers from this company. I had a minor fitment problem and sought the help of their tech dept. They were very helpful and professional. The product is in my truck, far exceeds my expectations, and i am very happy with the end result.

Worth The Cost
Currently running them on 220 rms each and they sound super crisp. I wouldn't recomend doing this but for the matter, they have been ran like this for about 6 months. Awesome sound and good power handling.

Still the same great sound!
I sold Infinity speaker 20 years ago and was surprised that they are as good if not better than before. Very strong bass with crisp clear mids and highs. I definitely would recommend this product. I will buy this brand again

Awesome sound!
Bought a pair of these to put in my 1986 SS Monte Carlo. I had to do some modification, but got them to fit. You can't go wrong with Infinity products when it comes to vocals!!! Crisp, clear vocals, Nuff said!

overall pretty darn good
I usually buy kappa infinitys but im not disappointed with the references. Mq quart four channel powering them and the sound good and get loud without distorting.

Awesome speaker
Great sound. Clear crisp highs, mids are too. but if you want the bass too... Gotta put it in a sealed box. Only drawback is that you gotta buy the grills separately. Got 4 of them in my jeep. and the neighbors behind the street can hear the tunes loud and clearly.

Great set of speakers
These speakers sound very good. I got similar sets for my F350 and sets for my wife's 2007 Sienna minivan. I compared them to the components (individual) separates mid/tweeter and I think these sound better than the more expensive speakers. Regardless, they sound so much better than the oem speakers that came with the truck/car, it is silly to keep the original crap in the vehicle. Great price, quick shipping. a no brainer!

Great speakers
Great high quality speakers for the price you won't be dissapointed. If you can afford to upgrade to the Kappa line of Infinity speakers.

Great speakers
if you are looking to upgrade your sound these are the speakers. They are clear and crisp. For the price you can't get a better set of speakers. Well worth the money. I would recommend these speakers.

Amazing sound quality
Bought these and installed them in my '06 Ram unamped. They were amazing; good bass, great mids and clear highs. Honestly didn't think they could get any better.
After selling my Ram I put them in my wife's Town & Country amped by a Pioneer GM-D9500F. To say they are better is quite the understatement. I have the treble increased via the little button on the speaker to compensate for the addition bass and mids they put out now. I sampled several songs from Crystal Method, Adele, G-Unit and a few on the radio. Every single song sound better than I had ever heard it.
These speakers amazed me when I first purchased them and after sitting in a box for a year they have amazed me again. My only regret is not spring for the amp the first time around.

Great, I'm sure.
I bought these speakers because Sonic Electronix's website said these would fit my mom's 1977 Datsun 280z...But they didn't. Not even close. The speakers remain sealed in the box and unused. I'm sure I missed my opportunity to return them as well. I purchased these specifically because I know that Infinity has always made excellent speakers.

Excellent speakers
I have owned a lot of 6x9 speakers and these are by far the best. I have not tried the kappas yet but if they sound better than these then they are doing a lot. JUST Put plenty of clean power on them and if they are going on a rear deck it is very critical to make sure that the trunk is totally sealed. I am a ASE Technician so I do know a little about it.

Excelentes bocinas y muy buen servicio de sonic electronix, muy rapido el envio
Infinity 3 way
Bought these to go in my 2013 300c. They sound great, instant improvement and true 2ohm. This is my second set. I decided to even replace the "door woofers" to go with an entire infinity set up. Even found the 3.5 infinity 2ohm to match. Great job SE, they keep some stellar products! The price is bar none competitive and most times cheaper.
Wish I had purchased these when I purchased the Accord
I purchased a pair of these Infinity Reference 9633cf 6 X 9 speakers and a pair of Infinity Reference 6033cs 6.5 inch speakers for my 2007 Accord upon the outstanding review the Sonic tech rep gave to them. Especially that he said that these speakers will not need an aftermarket amp with my particular Accord.
I first made the review for the 6033cs speakers in this text and then further in the article gave a review on the 9633cf speakers which I added more information to.
I would recommend these speakers over the 2007 Honda 4 door VP stock speakers and a over a good number of popular other brand speakers for several reasons. The 7,000 series Honda 2 door stick shift models have higher quality speakers than the stock in other models but are still inferior to these Infinity Reference speakers. Most Hondas have cute little near 1 inch diameter or half dollar sized magnets that are adequate until someone like myself want to hear the instruments clearly instead of just hearing the music..
The 07 VP has no dash tweeters. I currently have the tweeters double stick taped to the sail panel forward of the door glass. Driveaccord.com says it is difficult to rewire the tweeters from the crossover through the door opening to the dash mounting area. The dash tweeter grill has no holes for the sound to come out of. I will have to get a replacement pair.
According to my researching on line, only the Accord two door 6 cylinder models with stick shift has a crossover. Both this Accord and all others have a second wire pair from the plug at the radio for the tweeter. It was recommended that the wire from the radio go to the Infinity crossover and the crossover be mounted in/just under the arm rest where there is adequate space in both doors.
The two front door speakers which are currently capable of making more bass than these do not have the necessary Mid-range quality and highs to listen to music satisfactorily.
Wanting a quality sound that is necessary at the mid and high end of the audio spectrum to enjoy music, I switched to Infinity so I can actually hear the instruments instead of just hearing the music. Vast improvement for a lifetime audiophile. (67 years OLD)
I could have gotten the better infinity but for a weekend touring car the higher price for short or occasional long drives is not necessary.
The 6.5 inch Infinity Reference 6030cs replacements needed aftermarket plastic pop in mounts that can be purchased from the internet for under $6 dollars with free shipping. They are well worth it compared to drilling and grinding the uneven metal and possibly having a contact with the window glass. I did not see a Sonic version of this pop in speaker holder but I did not look for one there.
Be aware that the aftermarket plastic speaker mount that allow a "two second" pop in convenience does not have the correct placement of screw holes to mount these particular Infinity 6.5 inch speakers to the plastic. Using a determined amount of Southern Engineering I placed screws coated in non stick silicone, in the speaker holes, placed the speakers on the plastic pop in mount and applied a fiberglass goo that hardens relatively quickly. I unscrewed the 4 screws and drilled the holes deeper - then installed the supplied foam stick on pads to place on the speaker for air tightness and screwed the speakers on tighter, then popped them in the door frame. The plastic purchased pop in mount had to be roughed up to allow the fiberglass paste to adhere to it. A few small holes in the plastic pop in mount also make a good anchor hold for the fiberglass paste.
The stock head unit amplifier has more than enough power to drive these speakers to louder than I can tolerate -- without distortion from the speakers or the amp. The sound is clean and clear all the way up to the higher frequencies. The sound does not get to be called SHARP until the treble is turned all the way up, It sounds more like too loud for the rest of the music, not sharp. This Honda Accord radio head unit is not exactly aftermarket ultra high power amp quality but it is a close second. I do not have to turn up the treble on this stock radio to hear the high frequencies that are not producible from the stock speakers which have no tweeter or whizzer cone.
The bass is not as loud as the stock speakers but the Infinity speakers are new and will loosen up and make more bass as the hours wear them in. When I crank up the bass on this stock radio I can hear the bass nicely but not as loud as the rear 6 X 9 Infinities. I can feel the door vibrate but not hear metal rattling. I might go back in and use some sound deaden-er later to cancel out the bass canceling sounds from the back of the speaker. I read where placing sound deadener over the existing plastic moisture barrier makes a noticeable difference in the bass output. I do not have to crank the bass up to hear it with these mid bass speakers. Also because of the Infinity
6 X 9 9633 cf I mounted in the rear More than compensates (cf means it does not include a grill). I will have to grind down the stock plastic rear grills to fit these speakers or remount them under the back deck like I had the previous temporary speakers. It fits perfectly in the rear speaker opening. The stock speaker grill will need to be ground down to be remounted in their push in slots. The grills have an oval plastic ridge to go down to the metal for a better bass on the OEM Honda 6 X 9 speakers. These Infinity 9633cf speakers have a quarter inch plastic ridge on the top and have to be compensated for.
I am currently enjoying the resounding bass these rear infinity reference 9633cf speakers provide along with the absolutely clear sound they make up to the upper end of the audio range.
I purchased this pair of 6 X 9 9633cf Infinity reference speakers for the back shelf because the Sonic tech ref said they will make bass loud enough with the stock head unit and they are the best bang for the buck for my driving. The holes are there in the back shelf under the pop out speaker grills (you have to grab the 4 pop in tabs in the trunk with needle nose pliers to squeeze the plastic to get it to pop out). The Honda speaker wires are there tucked into the assembly within a few inches of the holes.
A Honda to Infinity speaker wire conversion plug will have to be purchased or special terminals can be purchased at Radio shack to connect to the speakers. Radio Shack sells pn 6403058 which has the two 7/64th female spade push on for the negative speaker terminal and two 3/16 female spade push on terminals for the positive speaker terminal.
Spade terminals will have to be ground down to about 1/3rd the width to plug into the Honda speaker cable socket. This is necessary for both the 9633cf and the 6030cf, 4 of these speaker wire connectors need to be made BUT the time to make them plus the costs of the male and female spade terminals would far offset the lesser cost of purchasing the pre-made units that can be found on line. It cost about $2.50 for a pair of correct sized female spade terminals ($10.00 for 4 pair for all 4 speakers). The Male spade terminals also have to be purchased, and then the males have to be ground to about 1/3rd the width to fit the Honda plug. Then the terminals have to be "SOLDERED-not Crimped" to the wires. Crimping is for a temporary fit because one of the crimps will surely pull off the wire and give you grief sooner or later. It is a great deal less time and grief to purchase these Honda to Infinity conversions. I found out the cable to speaker conversion cables are available after I had made the 4 conversion cables. I did not think to ask the tech or look for them at Sonic but they can be found on the internet.
Everything re-considered, I think if I had purchased the cable converters, the front speaker pop in mounts and made the modifications for the screw holes before hand, I could have mounted all 4 speakers in less than two hours.
Honda has premium sound radios that put out 120 watts RMS that should make you deaf soon. This VP has no specified power rating but it has enough RMS wattage to HURT -- it gets so loud. The Two Ohm rating of the Infinity, has something to do with the loud volume available along with the 93 dB sensitivity rating to make these speakers louder than the stock or other speakers I tried.
These infinity have 2 ohm impedance's. From the small diameter Honda wiring the speaker will probably see 2 Ohms at low and normal volume and not overheat the stock radio amp. They advertise that at higher volumes with the small speaker wire sizes and the bass turned up that the amp sees a 3 to 4 ohm load when the volume is cranked up.
I have read that more powerful aftermarket amps make loud bass and resoundingly better sounding music in other cars with lesser powered radios, but this "made for Granny / Grandpaw car" has more stock radio RMS wattage than I can bear. I am definitely realizing that the high power output of this car was made for later on in us senior's life when we start to go deaf. When these Infinity speakers are added with the 2 ohm speaker resistance the volume is increased drastically. The stock 3.8 ohm Honda speakers were loud till distortion about 3/4 ths of a turn of the volume knob but these are as louder with less of a turn without distortion.
I am sure a pair of 8 or 10 inch sub-woofers can be mounted with proper grinding of the rear deck If you chose a near 90dB sensitivity speakers or higher that Infinity makes, but these 6 X 9 Infinities fit in so easily and crank out enough bass to be proud of.
