Does not fit all 6-1/2 inch speakers!!
Although Metra advertises their 1/2" adapter suited for 5.5" to 6.5" speakers this is not the case. The adapters do not fit my CDT HD-M6+ subs which have an OD of 6.81" and a require a cutout of 5.812". When I tried to fit the speaker to the adapter, I was able to get the speaker only half-way in regardless of how the adapter was oriented with respect to the speaker

Not so universal
Would not fit the three point mount on my Nissan Juke. Unfortunately they can't be adapted to do so because one of the mounting points is too short.
