This product is great if you need to run a power/Ground wire to a trunk or through a firewall

Absolutely perfect

These are life changing and I will never use anything else, bought two Nvx amp kits( 1/0 gauge and 4 gauge), and long story short to have my run long enough with the cable supplied I had to go through the firewall on the passenger side below where carpets padding almost ends.

Not only do these seal with the supplied rubber gasket( never no when you have to drive through standing water) once they are through and you have the backing nut on, the rounded top nut that you tighten the glands to hold the wire securely also tighten the whole piece.

Once they were secured I used some liquid nails on-2000 the put a bead around the outside where they seal for extra protection.

These helped support the weight of the wire once it’s through and with the gland nut loose you are able to pull through wire so it made it super easy to get my wire path set under the hood. Unfortunately I had to run it over the plastic wheel liner but with it supporting the wire I was able to not use mounting screws and instead a few dabs of silicon adhesive which probably wasn’t even necessary.

The 1/0 gauge required a 1-1/8 inch hole saw bit
The 4 gauge requires a 3/4 inch hole saw bit

I used a Hercules brand 3pc drill bit set( sku 57690) and was through the sheet metal in less than 7 seconds.

Installers Dream

Sometimes its the simple things. When working on audio options for routing wires through an engine bay. It can be simpler to drill and tap a firewall with a fresh dedicated grommet that is air / water tight seal as opposed to reusing an existing OEM grommet. This is the best option for my install currently and was a top tier purchase for the price to accomplish the task. Save those oem rubber grommets and run designated ones for your new power lines!

This is the way

I was nervous running two 1/0 gauge wires into my truck but these made me feel a whole lot better. Clean look, easy to install and solid water tight! Couldn’t ask for more!
