Worked but really deep

I purchased these for my 74 Corvette side kick panels. For those of you who do not know, that is where all C3 corvettes collect the rain water from the t-roofs and rust badly. When I pulled out the original speakers, the magnet had attracted all the loose rusty pieces from that area. I wanted these to stop any future water/rusty bits from getting to the back of my new Kicker 4x6's.

To be able to use these these I had to cut off the top area as there wasn't enough depth to get all of it in there and I did not want to open up the back of the pocket.

Overall these dis the trick, could be 1/2" shallower and they would have been perfect.

May not work for all applications

I tried to install for my 2004 F150 Supercrew. When running amps, the speakers need breathing room. The baffles tended to restrict air movement. I ended up cutting them in half, leaving the top portion on to protect from any moisture that might drip from above.

I gave them a 3 star rating because they do serve an important purpose in protecting the speakers from drips, but couldn't rate them any higher due to ineffectiveness for my application.

they do the job

installation was easy, keeps speakers from rattling in the doors, they recommend cutting a port at the bottom of baffles to let air out and keep them from being "enclosed". seems to give speakers a deeper bass sound. good product.

The covers for the speakers do what they should do its a very thick material and easy to install

When installing door speakers these not only offer protection from the elements but enhance the sound quality.
