It'll take you by surprise
I put it in my 2014 Infiniti QX70 which has an 11 speaker Bose system. It had a spare tire subwoofer which consists of a 5 1/4 subwoofer with a separate amplifier. Believe me when I say that I could holler louder. I have this JBL SPARE TIRE SUBWOOFER and the difference is night and day. You must use an amplifier wiring kit. It's not the same as a ported 12" but it will rattle your hatch so plan on installing sound deading material. The wired controller is a big plus. If you have a hatchback that stores your spare tire and you want your subwoofer hid this is the one to buy!

For what I was looking for it is excellent. I didn’t want a box in the trunk and this fit its purpose. I had to install some sound deadening mats to get the bass to sound a little less hallow but all in all satisfied with the product. Mercedes E350.

Awesome Bass
Replaced a factory spare Bose bass system that was absolutely useless with this JBL unit and a gotta say I was not expecting the bass this thing produces. It is a little on the heavy side but easily removed for track days and looks very good I have had a lot of compliments about it being fully exposed in the hatch. Great kit
