Good Sub, Bad set-up

This is an awesome sub, it has great sound and for a 1100 watt sub it hits hard, the downside to it is that after a while of it being up loud, the plastic part in the middle, with the JBL logo on it comes loose and makes it sound bad because it vibrates and causes a high pitched rattling sound.

Bargain

This woofer is awesome for the price i paid...less than $60...here at Sonic...it sound fabulous in a 1.75 port box...but it will only hold around 400-450 watts RMS....after that the voice coil starts heating up and stinking.

Great Buy LOVE JBL's!!

I bought a 2004 gmc yukon and i wanted to premium sound into it. so I decided to go with JBL's because they are a popular brand sound for good quality sound. These subs did not let me down. Especially for the price!. I do not regret getting them. I highly recommend them to anybody. And i still havent broke these in yet. Just put them in today. Especially if your starting off you will not be let down. Guarantee!!! If you want true power you can like i did which was bridge them at 2ohms so i was pushing 550RMS with both subs. sounds amazing!!. I powered them using a 1200watt 2channel 580 rms AMP baught a refurbished amp. Used 4 Guage 2500 watt kit. If you do a clean good install and tune the amp right. You will not be disappointed. 5 STARS!

great subs

I have two of these in my Ford Focus and they are amazing! I would recommend these to anyone who wants great bass and great quality with low cost. I have them hooked up to a 2 channel 2500 watt Boss amp and I have had no problems in the past year and I turn them up everyday. definitely a great buy and I will buy them again if im doing another system

Great product

The subwoofer is just amazing. The bass is incredible, it shakes my car running at only 250 watts RMS.

Great woofer

I bought this at Sonic for less then $60....my amp was too much for it(smelling coils getting too hot)....it sounded great though...i wouldn't go over 400 rms on this woofer...but it will pound at 400!!!
