Very very good JBL.

How I am going to fit this all in is a mystery, but here goes. Firstly I had never used JBL before as I found their older products were always lacking in something. This time however I liked the look of the subwoofer so decided to give it a chance. And what can I say? well, the sub is built absolutely splendidly. Top job done there by the R&D team and the overall build looks like something alot more expensive. You also get gasket foam and a decal. Sure, that's not that important but it's a very nice thought by the company. I am not a child (33 now) and I have been in car audio for 15 years. I use my subwoofer on a phoenix gold amplifier, so I know any problem will be from the sub. My choice of enclosure is also very complex (folded horn) which isn't done in car audio very often due to complexity, but this subwoofer sounds absolutely full of authority and really does produce an amazingly low frequency range for a ten inch.
Highly recommended.

Must buy

I own a 01GMC Sierra ext cab. This sub's work great with the limited space I have under my back bench. I hooked a two-channel Kenwood amp to two of these bad boy's, and let's just say that my 16 old son thinks dad is cool!

Speakers are a must buy if you are going with an enclosed box with a top mounting depth less than five inches.

Great subs for price/mounting depth

After long time spent researching, these came out to be the best on paper. While I haven't had them against the others that would fit in my truck box (5" max mounting depth), I am well pleased with the results. they have the most Xmax on paper, and when you turn them on, you immediately know it's a woofer that likes to travel. If it's like other JBLs i have around the house, after they break in, it should sound even better. I have a Phoenix Gold v8001 amp pushing 2 of these in a sealed box.

Very good sub

These subs are the bomb for $55 a sub. The quality is amazing for the price. My buddy has 2 of these hooked up to a spl 2000 watt amp and it thumps and the subs take it all, they can take a beating. If your looking for something that wont break your pocketbook then go with these. JBL all the way.
