Highly recommended. I ordered these speakers specifically for a 05 Toyota Sequoia with JBL system. The speakers; although not perfect, do fit in the door to replace the 7" factory speaker. Great sound and good base. The 2ohm speaker produces fantastic volume.

Our 2002 Sequia front speakers blew. after checking with the dealer and getting a price of $400.00 each i looked for opptions. they sound great and fit fine using the adapter (turned out the factory speakers we're a little bigger.. around 7") but they worked!!

Ok speakers

I am using these in the front of my car. They are ok, but not much bass coming off them. I have JBL's in my front and Polk Audio in the rear and they sound great. The price was ok too.

Replace stock speakers on 02 Dodge Durango with this JBL and add a 4 cha. amp wooo. Lots of mid bass came out of these little speakers. just make sure that you have some power going to them or will not get loud and clear.

A valuable installation tool

Worked very well when putting Polk DXi 6.5s in my 98 Ford Ranger. Not very thick plastic, but that worked for me, since I didn't have much room behind the factory door panel. They are way more convenient than making your own adapter. You'll have to drill your own holes for the speaker mounts, and/or dremel them out a tad if your speakers need a larger cutout, but I used the measurements beforehand and they worked perfectly. Very nice.

These adapters are not usable for most speakers

I was trying to use these to install speakers in my 09' Ford Escape. The mounting holes are correct but the speaker cutout is not big enough. Not sure what they used to model the design but not usable for most speakers. The description says they are for 6 1/2" but hole size is undersized. I ended up making my own using 1/2" plywood at a fraction of the cost.

high quality product!

This product was made with quality. But unfortunately for me the units were made to thick to install in my 07' Mazda speed 3 door panels. Other than that, my shipments arrived on time and in perfect condition. Would order from again!

Clean fit.

Good Adapter!

Was able to tap new holes in the plate for mounting a 6.5" woofer (Polk MM 6501) in the doors of my 2014 Mustang. Perfect fit to the factory mounting location.

These fit my 6.5 inch coaxials in the cutout like they said. I did have to carefully drill new holes where this particular speaker needed to be mounted and it turned out well. There may be some 6.5's that won't fit in the opening, but mine did. They fit the 6x8 opening in the truck perfectly and the screw openings were right on the money.

Good speaker adapter

I use this with 5.25 inch speakers in the rear of a 1996 Ford F150. It holds the speakers in 6x8 hole very well, but just make sure you use larger screws. To completely seal the speakers, I'd recommend using Dynamat or a similar product to cover the adapter. I also used this with Pioneer 6.5s.

Good product, ok fit.

Pretty basic item here. Solid thickness on the mounts. Did not fit great on my 2008 Ford Mustang. I had to force it in place, but it did go in with some effort. Speaker openings were the right size.

My concern.

In my own experience with this product i'm not feel comfortable because I ordered the Scosche SA68 Adapters for my kicker RS65.2 component but it didn't fit. The holes are smaller than my kickers.

Cool adapters

They didn't fit exactly 100% and that extra thickness pushed the speaker out so the stock grill could not fit. But with some cutting and shaving i got it to fit perfectly! The speaker did fit in it well which was the main thing.

Great Speakers

I bought these speakers for my 2005 Chevrolet Silverado LS Extended Cab and they sound great compared to the factory speakers that was in there. The sound is great. I would definitely recommend these speakers to other people.

I used these on my Ford Expedition, fit great! I see some people had trouble fitting their 6.5" speakers in, but my Alpine 610's and 610c's fit in easily. For a brief moment I felt like an installer! (They wanted a $100 to put them in. I couldn't afford it.)

Adapter for 6 x 9 car speakers.

Although the speakers were a different size than I had originally planned, I was still able to modify these adapters to fit my application. Just having something sturdy to mount the speakers to before fitting them into the car door is very helpful. Great quality product overall.

Cutting required for 6-1/2" speakers

The plates are ready to go if you plan to install 5-1/4" speakers; however you will need a jigsaw to cut the hole bigger if you want to install 6-1/2" speakers.

JBL & Rockford Fosgate EFFIN ROCKS!!!!

I spec'd out my entire sytem with JBL speakers and Rockford Fosgate amps for my 2012 Nissan 370Z. I did leave the stock dash speakers in for some high frequency fill. Seven speakers total, 2 stock speakers in the dash, 2 JBL GTO628 6.5's in the doors, 2 JBL GTO938 6x9's in boxes behind each seat and one JBL CS1214 12" sub in a cube box in the back. Two Rockford amps...R150x2 for the JBL938's and stock dash speakers, and a R300x4 for the fronts and sub. All I have to say is LOUD and CLEAR, and I totally guarantee satisfaction if you put this in the same space vehicle. It is incredible sound if tuned correctly...and to top it off i have a stock head unit. all under $700 self installed. talk is cheap but when you hear it....hehehe ENOUGH SAID!!!!!!

Cheap, easy and high quality

Very good way to get better sound quality out of you're speakers. I ,like many, prefer and feel that round speakers have a better sound quality than oval ones. A lot of cars only have oval slots for speakers and this is an easy way to solve that problem.

Great sound for the money

I don't know why people want 500 watt systems because 50 watts peak will do fine for me. It still sounds like I have a serious setup in my car but I only installed 4 speakers and a head unit.

May Not Fit

I bought these to replace a 6x8" speaker with a 6.5" speaker. Unfortunately this bracket is not sufficient, at least for the speaker I chose (JL Audio TR650-CSi). The cut out on the Scosche is a 5" diameter. However, the speaker requires a 5 5/8" diameter. You can modify the bracket by using a dremel or other type of tool to widen the cut-out diameter. However, this would only leave me with about 1/16" on either end after enlarging it enough for the speaker...might as well cut it in half at that point (total height is 5 11/16" on the bracket).

It seems like it would be perfect for a 5 1/4" speaker some 6.5" speakers as well. You just need to make sure it is not too small, otherwise you are better off making your own bracket. All that being said, it is well made and I would recommend it under the proper circumstances.

Did not fit my 6.5in speakers

Ordered a set to go along w/ my 6.5in speakers. The speakers were too large for the hole on the SA68. I had to trace the diameter of the speaker on to the SA68s and use a dremel to cut out the difference

What can I say, if you need an adapter to fit your 5 1/4 speakers into a 6x8 opening this is the perfect thing. However, it is hard to fit 6 1/2 inch speakers and requires drilling new holes

Solid Speakers & kit

Replaced my 12 yr old front infinity speakers 6 mos. ago cause I couldn't stand using only rear speakers. They crapped out 4 mos. later, so I went to lower volumes. Bummer. Ordered and installed another set of JBL GTO628s for the rear. Forgot how good full sound really is. They are all great! Simple install. Good instructions. No missing parts.

6 1/2s dont fit.

basicly 6 1/2s dont fit i had to dremel took the heck out of them to get them to fit. sucks but they r in. the became very flimsy with all the dremeling. maybee work for somthing else but didnt for me

Small car rear speakers

I have these in my pontiac sunfire 2002. I had to rig these speakers to fit into my car but im glad I made the effort because they sound great. They provide a good bass and good treble.

I installed 4 of these speakers in my son's 95 camaro and they sound amazing. Crisp high's and great for mid rang bass. Would highly recommend these for stock up grades high quality. I would buy them agin. Install did require a little modifying in the rear with supplied adapters.

I purchased these speaker for my 1995 F350 Power Stroke Diesel.
The old MB quartz speaker were just worn out since 1996.
The sound is unbelievable...Loud, crisp,and excellent base for a 6.5.
The new AC/DC cd sounds great...letting my ears bleed...no distortion.
Have the JBL GTOs 5x7 in the rear...the seat blocks some of the sound because of the factory speaker location.
Running two Kenwood amps and two 6 inch Bazooka Tubes + old Eclipse head unit...Need to upgrade the head unit for the I phone set up.

Good Speakers

JBL Quality and sound. Only knock is on the installation instructions and hardware. The instructions are somewhat cryptic if you are not a professional installer, and the hardware (screws and wire) are very limited.

They were good.

They were about equal to the stock infinity speakers that I had in my 2001 dodge durango. The only modification I had to do was buy one larger screw because the bracket is not a greatest fit but it works. One word of advice... make sure you pay attention to the polarity + & -. Because if you install just one wrong you will get ZERO bass.

These are very good adapters, however i had to modify them for my JL C650 speakers. I didnt do enough research to make sure i was getting the correct ones. But even modifying them was a breeze and they worked great and were a perfect fit in my truck.

Awesome speakers

I needed new speakers since the ones that came with my 2011 Jetta were garbage, I hooked these up to an amp and boy let me tell you this is the best bang for your buck.....

Sound good, don't last

I bought 2 pairs of these for my 2003 Durango, and drove them with a Clarion XC1410 4 channel digital amp - they sounded very good, and I was quite pleased with the value - but sadly, they did not even last a year. The right front began to buzz and sound blown. I attributed this to my kids turning the volume up too loud, and damaging the speaker. However, when I finally got the chance to pull them out, the surrounds were torn, and looked like they had dry-rotted in some spots, and you could feel and see other weak points forming. In replacing both front speakers so far, I found the driver's side, while not buzzing yet, was also starting to come apart at the surround.

I contacted SonicElectronix via email to try and handle a warranty replacement for them, but when I provided the order number right from the invoice, they reported it didn't match what they had, and to call them - sadly, my work schedule and life in general prevented me from being able to call them before the 1-yr warranty period ran out - so I had to replace them out of pocket.

I am looking to replace the rear pair, as well, before they give out, also.

Fits 2004 trailblazer ext

This set fit in the doors of my 2004 trailblazer ext with very little modification. The front speakers fit by just dropping then in and the rear fit with the need of the metal plates that came with.
You will need your own wiring as these do not come with conector wires.

Speaker review fo JBL's

Replaced factory Bose speakers in a 1998 Corvette with these JBL's. Have a much cleaner sound than before. Using the stock steep with no amp and still sounds great. I'm sure if you put some clean RMS watts through them they would really come alive.

Dodge Rt

These seem to lack. Good full range sound. I'm not sure if its my system not having enough power or what. It has decent sound but I was expecting much more. I installed them in my Dodge Durango RT.

96 Ram 1500 single cab

This truck had the Infinity system that had been dead for many years. I put in a JVC KD-S17 hu and still had only tweeter sound, so I bit the bullet and popped off the door panels and was not surprised to see the factory 6x9 speakers had crumbled to dust. The JBL GTO628 speakers installed very easily with the supplied adapter plates, I am very pleased with the sonic improvement, very crisp and clear mids and highs with no amp at this time. Next will be a small powered sub under the seat to round things out ! Thanks Sonic Electronix, now I like to drive the old Dodge again !

I bought this for my moms Toyota Sequoia and Great item to have but the only issue is fitment. The panels that it came with doesn't fit and has a gap. The speakers fit in the whole but nothing to support it.

Street Glide upgrade

I bought these as an upgrade for my stock 5.25" street glide speakers. It was a choice between the alpine or jbl. They are for the most part the same speaker just some slight differences. Installed them with some 6.5" adaptor rings and they are awesome! You can't get a better speaker for the money.

GREAT sound, poor design for the DIY

Speaker failure in Chevy HHR made replacement a requirement. Common problem with the HHR. The speaker is well designed, and mounts as easy as can be WITHOUT INSTRUCTIONS! No instruction made this install a real burden! As to design flaws, the two posts that you have to hook the incoming speaker wires to ARE TWO DIFFERENT SIZES! Why? I suppose it has to do with positive/negative, but without instruction, or guidance, how is one to know which is what? I had to purchase 8-10 of each size crimnp on wire connector, which wasted time and was really difficult with the door panel torn apart!!!! NO INSTRUCTIONS? ARE YOU KIDDING? Then on top of that, neither of the posts on the speakers were marked +/- or Pos/Neg, or any suck GOOD IDEAS! To say the least, I will not recommend JBL's due to this. The sound is really amazing, and I hate to down rate them too much due to stupidity in design, when the output is so positive, but...
I say, if you HAVE to replace with these models of JBL's then expect difficulty in sorting out all the issues created by NO INSTRUCTIONS! Otherwise, the sound is excellent, and much louder than stock due to the ohm load.

Great Speakers at a great price

Purchased 4 of these to replace my 4 OEM 2006 Toyota Tundra JBL system speakers.

Great improvement, crisp and clear.

If you have a 1st Gen Tundra with JBL stereo do not buy the Metra harness adapters to make these plug and play, the Metra adapters do not match the existing harness and will not plug in.

You will also have to use the stock speaker housings to install any aftermarket speakers, there are plenty of help videos on the net. Takes about 30 mins to remove old speaker from housing and fit the new speakers to the housing. It's about 45 mins per speaker from removing the door card to replacing the door card.
