jbl subwoofer

this is the second jbl sub i have bought. The 1 st one lasted 5 years before it started sounding bad but still worked. You must remember that it is in a harsh, wet , rough environement. I bought the second 1 because it fit and is a complete unit amp and all. It has been known to play for as much as 10 to 14 Hrs straight on a good hot Sunday.

Easy Install

I purchased this subwoofer for the ease of install and the fact that I have been quite happy with other JBL speakers. Installation was straight forward and simple. I am still experimenting with the settings but so far I am very pleased with it.

Good Sub For The Money

Very pleased with this product. Would recommend. Good bass sound for the money
Pros: easy install, sub well protected, 3rd year with no issues
Cons: its bass is not as tight as a tune port sub, very deep and wide enclosure, eats up storage space

MPS 1000

Very disappointed. Great idea but flattens out quickly and can't keep up with a decent system.

Works good

Mounts easy and has it's own sealed box. No vibration or rattle. Not sure about the posted power of the amp. Sounds more like 100 watt. Still plenty of base for the boat. Well protected grill.

Awesome Sound

Great price for what I got hooked up to my lake boat. Thought I would need two subs. One is working just fine.

JBL MPS1000

It installed very easily and sounded great for our first two boat outings, but now it's not working. Battery has a full charge, fuse is good, blue light comes on, rca cables are correct. No base, only a few spirts of static. I'll be contacting JBL. Hope they can resolve it, we really did enjoy it.

Great product!

I added this JBL subwoofer to my pontoon stereo system and it greatly improved the sound quality over the 6 1/2 mods. I diffently recommend this product for those on a budget or looking for a simple upgrade to an existing boat stereo system.

JBL MPS1000 is not what I expected

I am on my 3rd JBL MPS1000 in under a year and I hope it's the last! Both worked great for 3 months, hook up was flawless and location in the boat leaves little over spray of fresh water or salt spray. I've never received a response on why the two previous speakers took a crap! Would like to know what happened!
Customer service is a 4 1/2 out of 5, they earn it! I also bought the 3 year extended warranty which I believe "will" pay for its self.
