Took the recommendation and plunge!

I have bought from Sonic for a lot of years and was on the fence on this item. They originally emailed me it and i thought about, but wanted to call them so I did. JBL is a famous brand, but the thing that sold me was everything was the JBL top level series and that it was an extra discount until they ran out. Double win. Anyhow, I have had it installed for a couple weeks and it really hits all the lows and does not really miss a beat. When I say does not miss a beat, I am comparing it to some Sennheiser Momentum headphones that I have that are my reference.

Powerful

Extremely pleased in my purchase. I have always loved car audio and just bought a new car and wanted a little extra base. Installed it and was blown away with how powerful it was. Great bang for the buck JBL did a great job with this unit. I bought this because JBL been in the audio business for as long as I can remember and I'm 40. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a quick fix.

Not too bad.

Love the woofer and the compact size. The only thing I didn't like was it came with no installation kit. It doesn't require too much to hook up so I went to the local Home Fepot and got everything I needed. Cheaper than buying an amp kit for $30+.

Great product

I ordered one of these boxes as i didn't want anything OTT and to say i was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. This thing definitely kicks in addition to this i would like to point out the first one i purchased had some issues. The customer service/support team were very professional in handling the situation and honestly kept it stress free. I did have to pay shipping how ever for a manufacture defect which was a nuisance, but with that said the situation was resolved with out any hassle. I went for the same box again as i was happy with the way it looked (Compact) and preformed in the back of my BMW E90.

great value

Sonic had this for a great price. i used to have the infiniy basslink, which broke down. This is much more powerful. Due to the unexpected power, I've had to order a small amp for my other 4 speakers so they can keep up with the sub. Installed it on a jeep wrangler JK.

Works well.

For those of us who just want some deep clean bass and not to blow the car away, this is a great unit. Small, nice looking and works quite well. Fairly powerful as well, but basshead addicts should pass as one 10" woofer isn't enough for them. Everybody else though should be happy.

ok subwoofer

i bought this subwoofer thinking it will create good amount of bass being mage by jbl but i have to say i am disappointed. I bought this in November last year but installed it in my 2015 mustang conv. in February. It generates ok amount of bass but not enough and i am not a basshead. I got it installed professionally and used nvx ofc wires. I will say spend a little more and get jbl w3 or something of that pedigree.

BassProSQ Review

Ordered this unit with the install kit. Installed fine and works great. Would recommend ordering a remote bass volume control as well as different sources (FM stations & CD) have quite different amounts of bass.

Plenty of decent bass for me, units looks nice and is compact as well. Don't know about its long term durability, but JBL is pretty respected as a decent company. I do recommend this for most, unless you want massive amounts of bass.

Unit was easy to connect and I was very impressed with the sound. I would expect nothing less from JBL.
