This driver is special because you can select 2ohm or 4ohm with a flick of a switch. The build quality is first rate. Also, this driver is very efficient so it doesn't need a lot of power to drive it. 1 Great driver.

for $99.99 this sub was well worth it in my opinion. yeah you could spend more and get a JL or something but this does what it's supposed to, I got noticeably more bass to backup the highs and it's really cutting edge tech that they put into this. good buy

Awesome product

Bought this JBL S2-1024 a few weeks ago and it has added a much needed element to my car's audio system. Adds just the right amount of bass to my SUV. Was 30% cheaper here than anywhere else I looked.

Decent Product

Hits ok for the price. Payed about 50 dollars, i got 2 and have them in a ported enclosure. Was good in the beginning, but I need to upgrade now. But good for a starter system.

Awesome Sub

This sub slams! Heavy, clean and crisp bass and an awesome look (in my opinion). I did not even break these subs in and they sound better than my Pioneers 10"s right out of the box. The selectable 2 or 4 ohm impedance is also very convenient when I feel like I need a bit more bass and switch it over from 4 ohms to 2 ohms.

gt5-10 replacement

This subwoofer replaces the gt5-10 subwoofer which was built much better than this subwoofer. This sub has a smaller magnet, a small 6x9 speaker like negative terminal, a plastic rim, gasket not included, no mounting screws but for 63 dollars & free shipping I am happy with it.

JBL S2-1024 **Toggle between 2-Ohm & 4-Ohm Impedance!**

I don't have much to compare this sub to, other than an older JBL, of which, this one out performs! Hits lower, handles more power, and the selection of 2/4ohm is a great versatility feature when potentially adding another.

I'm a very fusy audio guy who is quite impressed with this product. These subwoofers are very responsive even at a low power input. I developed 4 sealed air cabinets for each. This resulted in a very balenced output across every frequency from 27Hz-140Hz. Sound reproduction is crystal clear & was easy to balence the output with the rest of my system. I highly recommend this product.
