NVX XKIT42

This is the perfect kit for anything around 1000 watts RMS. I have it hooked to a NVX JAD1200.1, and it is perfect. I literally have nothing bad to say about this kit. Every wire is true to gauge and it comes with plenty of wire, even 40ft of speaker wire! The RCA works great and the wires are strong and flexible. It'd be nice if it was a little cheaper, but it's definitely worth it. NVX makes some of the best, high quality wires and instillation equipment.

I am using this in a small suv that has no carpet but herculiner throughout and I need pure copper for corrosion resistance.. could be cheaper I guess..

Best wiring overall

when i received this and opened it up i was amazed when i saw how a 4ga. wire could look so much like 0ga. and bend so easily. the speaker wire is so thick that you would not believe that it is speaker wire. the wires also make your music sound so much clearer than any other wiring can. all the components are the best in quality.

Not your average amp kit.

If you're picking up a bad*ss amp, why wouldn't you pick up a PROPER wiring kit ?!
I've previously used NVX Power/Ground wire for a BIG 3 Upgrade install, and was blown away by the Quality of the wire. High Strand, True To Spec, Super Flexible, Very Durable, and Conducts Very Well. Same can be said for the Speaker Wire and RCAs. I wish NVX made a kit with their higher end RCA cables, but the ones with this kit definitely get the job done. The fact that the Power/Ground come Crimped and Shrink Wrapped really save on install time, and the flex wrap on the Power Wire makes the install look Very professional. I ended up using the other goodies (ties and connectors) for various other things, but its pretty cool that it comes with the kit.

Great true 4 gauge wire kit. Both power/ground cables are flexible easy to work with, rca calbe is great. This kit comes with everything you need for an amp install. I will be using NVX amp kits for now on future installs.

At first, I was a little skeptical of NVX products, but I must say this kit feels very solid. The wire gauge is true to size and actually bigger when compared to my Stinger brand wire I've previously used. The wire is extremely flexible as well, making installation in tight places a breeze. You get everything needed to install a single amp in this kit. Don't let the name scare you away, give it a try!

Best Amplifier Kit

I take my chance when I ordered this kit. I almost spend over $100 on brand name kit. I'm glad I did bought this kit. Don't let this brand scared you. When I opened the package and saw the power cable, I know I made the right choice. The power cable is a true 4 gauge. The speaker cable ,you have enough to run both right and left from front door to the trunk and still have some left. RCA cable may look cheap but so far the signal from my head unit to the amplifier is excellent without any distortion. I love everything on this kit. Buy them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sweet Deal

When i purchased my amplifier they gave me a butt load off the purchase price of this wiring pack.
Pro's: good quality wire very flexible and easy to work with.
Con's: Needs more wire Connectors/Terminals with kit ( that are the right size) Ex: 4 gage wire doesn't usually fit into a 6 guage wire terminal/connector.

Wiring kit is really great! Delivers good power and isnt made with a cheap plastic isolation but with a nice flexible rubber isolation. Best wiring kit i had so far and i would buy it again if i sell my car because really....this wiring kit makes me one happy customer.

Bought this kit to run 1000 rms, some high grade power wire, very flexible, the terminations are perfect, came with lots of speaker wire... only bad thing I can say about this it the interconnect RCA cable came damaged... and the plugs on it feel really cheap, the insulation by one of the plugs was broken, just the outer jacket the inner insulation was fine, but it broke in an area where there would be high tension, right against the connector. all in all great kit for just the wires appears to be true to set and ofc, fuse holder was nice as well, just RCA was junk...

2012 Ram 1500 JBL GTO938

I installed these into the front and rear doors of my 2012 Ram 1500. These speakers fit perfect, but one hole will not line up with the speaker and will need to be drilled for the 4th screw to fit. I ordered the speaker connectors to fit the factory harness from crutchfield, and about 6 inches of wire is needed in addition to the aftermarket harness for the front speakers. This allows the harness to be connected outside the housing to prevent interference from the window bracket, and rattles.

The speakers sound amazing. They exceeded my expectations dramatically. I am only using the stereo to power and they have great sound at low and high volumes. Lows are amazing, and mid and highs sound great. I am using the Pioneer 4000 NEX as ahead unit and JL speakers in the dash. I could not be happier with the sound!

Great sound for a low price

I wish I had researched these before I installed the 6.5 Alpine Type R in the rear!! They sound great with better bass response. The only con is the treble is a little "tinny" with the blocker set. Easy fix though, just push a little button. If you want better than factory sound for less then look no further.

Sounds good (It's a JBL)

This is one of the two pairs of JBL speakers I ordered (the other being the GTO528) for a friend. Both pairs got mounted inside a truck. Although I'm not a big fan of oval shaped speakers due to nonlinear distortions this one works pretty well for the price. The 0 dB /- 3dB switch for the tweeter it's nonsense, I don't see any reason for that since you'll equalize the sound from the amp/cd/tuner/mp3 player.

I bought these JBL speakers to replace my cheap door Factory speakers in my 2014 Nissan Frontier. Although the front factory speakers are a separate woofer/ tweeter in the dash setup, these 3 way JBL in my door panels fill the sound waves just fine. Great clean high notes, bass is just ok when used with the factory radio. I added a amp to the factory radio and thats where the JBL'S came to life. So overall i would say, Add a amp and you will be much happier.

The cord is not a cheap piece of garbage like eBay kits but is actually true size and has great install hardware as well. Comes with everything you need for most installs. Sheilding and core quality is head and shoulders above most top name brands and even cheaper in price.

Amp Install Kit

Not much to say about this. The wire is extremely flexible and its true 4 awg copper wire. The only thing I don't like is the speaker wire is hard to strip if your not using a knife. I got a good deal with a nvx bda750.1 with this wire. I highly recommend that amp if your on a budget.

I use to use Rockford amp install kits but went with NVX because I liked a few things better about the kit especially price. Easily the best Amp kit Ive ever used. Everything you could need to install an amp is included and the 4 gauge wire is the most flexible wire Ive seen. Very easy to install the kit because of how easy you can bend the wire. I’ll never buy another brand again.

Best RCA in a kit ever!

Most RCA cables in these kits are bottom of the barrel, cheap crap. I work with precision calibration equipment and measured the capacitance of the RCA and both channels with a 1693 RLC digi-bridge (traceable to NIST) and they came out to about 25-26 pF per foot! I bought the standalone X-series RCAs from NVX and these were also 25pF. I'm convinced NVX doesn't sell a single bad cable or accessory.

The kit came with numerous adapters for mounting the cables to power and ground sources and even some quick disconnects. Highly recommend this kit!

Great Speakers for a Great Price

I was looking for replacement rear speakers for my 01 Honda Accord. Not only was i happy with these but they were easy to install and sound fantastic.I have an aftermarket radio in my car and they can easily handle all i have thrown at them so far. I gave them a middle of the road rating on durability only because i just got them and do not know how long they will last.

I bought these speakers about 5 months ago. I needed to replace the stock speakers in my car. My 4x6's and my 6x9's in my Chevy Cavalier were shot and starting to sound distorted. I ordered these just as a replacement. I could not have been happier with the highs of this car. Since interior speakers aren't usually about bass I wasn't too disappointed. The speakers actually do pump out a decent amount of lows, but the highs were just extraordinary!

JBL GTO938 6X9 Speakers

As a former DJ, I have used JBL speakers in the past. I had never tried their car speakers. These are truly in line with the normal JBL quality. They sound great. I had Alpines before and they don't even compare.

The JBL GTO938 replaced my front 6x9's in a 1999 Dodge Turbo Diesel! Plenty of cab noise - but these speakers deliver clean, solid, and non-distorted sound - I am driving these with the stock stereo head!! They have been durable, build was solid, easy to hook up, therefore am ordering a pair of 5-1/4" for the rear.

I would definitely recommend these speakers to anyone looking for some very clean sounding 6x9 speakers. They also pack a nice punch if you don't have a subwoofer. I can't wait till I amp these.

Purchased this product, and used it with an amp I had laying around for the time being (150w RMS Kenwood) and it absolutely BUMPS! It could be a little more clear, but that's probably because its not getting enough watts. Overall, its a great subwoofer, I would recommend it if you want a better than average sound system.

I don't know why people want 500 watt systems because 50 watts peak will do fine for me. It still sounds like I have a serious setup in my car but I only installed 4 speakers and a head unit.

Awesome speakers. 2 years later

These speakers slam lows and scream the highs. Even two years later. I have had 100watts going to each speaker and I can't complain. I have infinity kappas in the front for three years and they slowly starting to go now. But these I hope and am pretty sure will keep sounding great. There is my input. I hope it helps.

These are good speakers

These speakers, when installed properly, really sound great. Booming bass with clear highs. I put them on the back window dash of my 1969 Dodge Charger 440 RT. When I need more speakers for my other classic cars these are the ones I'll order.

One bad thing, they do not come with wire and the connection plugs that connect them to the speakers. I've never seen that before.

great replacement speakers

I installed these in my 2002 grand am GT with monsoon system (2 ohm speakers)

installation was straight forward, however no speaker wiring was included. i suspect these speakers are normally powered by amplifiers and would use 14-ga / 16-ga speaker wiring. I soldered on the old speaker wires to the new 6.5" JBL's and plugged them directly in to the factory system. sound was full, and not too sharp. bass could be better, but what can you expect from a 6.5" coaxial. when partnered with the JBL 6x9 3-way's it was a great combo.

Great kit, just one thing

Huge fan of NVX, the quality of the kit at the price point is very reasonable and overall the install went pretty well, AND it looks great!! However, the heat shrink sleeves have almost no hold, even after using my torch the sleeves kept sliding off of the ends of the sheathing, I ended up using my own heat shrink tubing in some places.

Sounds Amazing

Speakers are great, the bass is deep, and the switchable tweeter is perfect. A few warnings though: 1. For a 2005 Camry, you need adapters for front and back. I saw no mention of this anywhere. I was in a bind and had to fashion adapters from scratch. 2. These speakers come with ZERO wires. I did not have a soldering iron with me or connectors so I was back to the store. 3. Again for 2005 Camry, the include grills will not work at all for the rear - go ahead and order OEM replacements for $20 a pair.

Exceptional sound quality

These jbl 6x9's are an excellent upgrade for any sound enthusiast. The range they provide is mind blowing. Really loud ,clear and undistorted plus they handle power pretty well . U can't go wrong with these puppies.

So I have yet to get a good listen to these speakers as I bought a box for them to sit in since my openings are for 6x8s. However since the grille on these speakers require such long screws I haven't been able to install them. I did hook them up just for a quick listen with the JBL 638 Counterpart and they sound amazing. DO NOT HESITATE TO BUY. These speakers were exactly what I was looking for aside from the the length of the screws needed.

I am what most would consider an audiophile but I'm also not made of money I just bought some $15 boxes for these of Amazon and have them running of the head unit it almost sounds like I have a sub from how they hit but if your on the fence about them....I have yet to find a better paid for the money ....I should mention I bought them on sale from here I don't know what they retail for

RAM 2500

I got two pairs on sale in November and have had installed for a month now. Huge improvement! It's like hearing songs again for the first time. Highs are crisp but not too bright (can be adjusted 3db), mids are just right, I can hear vocals so much more clearly and the bass is much deeper and hits harder. I had to add sound deadening because the bass is causing rattles that weren't there before! I'll be adding an amp down the road, but they sound so good powered by the factory head unit (8.4), I'm not in any hurry now.

Great vocals, LOUD mid bass and great build quality!

Installed a set of these in a 2006 Impala LT, powered off 2-channels of a 4-channel amplifier. Very clean, crisp vocals and the mid bass was SOLID! Was able to reuse the factory elevated mounting pods. Used a drill bit to widen the mounting screw holes, on the speakers, to align with the factory mounting holes. You will need to use the included spacers, in order to stop the back deck cover from setting against the speaker. I had to use duct-tape to hold them in place. Once the cover was re-installed, its a tight fit and doesn't move.

Just finished installing a complete new audio system including a Kenwood DPX302U head unit along with this JBL sub paired with the Boss R1100M amplifier. The sound is incredible! The amp and sub are a perfect match. Make sure you have a good aftermarket head unit. I noticed a dramatic difference right away even before hooking up the amp and sub. You can have a great sounding system without it costing a fortune. I highly recommend this set-up.
