A good sounding speaker that handles power

No thanks to harmon which was no help I finally decided on these speakers. I have to say they seem to be handling the power I'm putting to them quite well off my diamond amp. The sound isnt tinny or missing something from what I can tell and their is a noticible difference in all aspects of the sound in my truck.

I cant say they sound better than some upper level pioneers or even other brands of similar quality but these handle power better without having issues it seems.

On the other hand there are a few issues and things that annoy me... First off be prepared. These speakers have a big basket so make sure you have room to mount them. They don't taper off getting smaller at the magnet. These are big all the way to it. There are nice screw terminals for the wire on it tho.

The other thing that just annoys me is when manufacturers like this waste money on pathetic screw packs and speed clips that no one with this calibre of speaker will use. They also include a strip of foam that I have no idea where they intended it to go because it doesn't fit anywhere around speakers or the front to protect them. I used my own stuff to seal and prevent vibrations.
Still giving 5 stars because speaker still performs as it should.

Excelent all around sound

Give them the power... they will blow you away. The overall sound quality they have even at high volumes is fantastic. Powered with the NVX VADM4 amp on the rear channel(not bridged), they have clean sound with solid bass and are just plain loud. These were a perfect fit in my 1972 Duster. They are mounted in the rear package tray with no modifications.

Great speaker

I love the look and sound quality of this speaker but the installation instructions lacked details. Also this was supposed to be a direct fit but unfortunately modifications had to be made to mount the speaker off the original mounting location. Which caused tripple the installation time

Tight fit

These speakers will fit in a RAM but only upside down, not sure why dimensions are not the same and this will cause the mounting screws not to align. Having said this, you will need a SUB. My setup is JL 3.5 up front, JBL GTO 930 rear doors, stock OEM front door speakers (low mids) DC 10 SUB REAR powered by pioneer 600 amp, and Focal tweeters in the head liner.
This was the factory Alpine system that sounded like sxxt. Not now- CRYSTAL CLEAR. JBL 930 ROCK

The best speakers I’ve bought in a while! Got them hooked up to 150hz bass blockers and the factory head unit on my 19 frontier. And they can take anything the radio throws at them. Most definitely recommend it.

Great product

I was looking for some speakers that would keep me from needing a subwoofer. These did it with no problem. The low ohm is a definite help it makes a difference. JBL always makes a great product. I would recommend these speakers to anyone. I put a pair in the front doors and another in the rear deck. I also install more insulation to help with the sound quality. Love it Love it!

Does not fit standard 6x9 factory holes in dodge challenger

So due to the design of the basket they do not fit the baffle or the factory hold on the dodge challenger, mine is a 2015 so you either have to cut the hole bigger or have a baffle they will fit in, in order to mount them in the door.

Sound quality from tweeter is like a tin can even with the tweeter switch disengaged.
