Pricey

Contrary to popular belief JL is not the absolute best, though they are darn close. They maintain a quality product though as the title suggests they are not very economical. Not intended for first timers.

Great Amp!!

I have this powering a Memphis PR 12" DVC sub. easily overpowers this sub in the substandard sealed truck box I have it in (0.7cf box) this little 250w amp has some PUNCH! I highly recommend JL products. my next step will be a JL W3 or W6 if I can fit it in a standard cab pickup! sound is CLEAN and STRONG!
JL uses true RMS ratings on the slash series amps, 1 ohm to 4 ohms its the same 250w. this baby is just easy! (and it has high end connections, stick the stripped cables in the hole and tighten the set screw, no funky connectors to buy! (or cost you power/looks)

No Overheating

I recently used two JL Audio 250/1 mono block amplifiers when building my system. They consistently preform well for me and seem that they have been build to last. I have them mounted on an amp rack behind the bench of a regular cab Toyota Tacoma where space is limited. There is also very little room for ventilation, so I thought that overheating might be a problem, but it has yet to do so. These amplifiers, even given such limited ventilation do not heat up like other amplifiers I have used in the past. I am very impressed JL Audio!

great amp

first off id also like to say that I agree that yes JL is pricey, but really you cannot complain about that when you use this amp. This amp will seriously rock you like you wouldnt believe.Don't let the 250/1 fool you because this amp doesits wonders and believe me, I had this amp hooked up to 2 12" subwoofers that were 400 RMS each and wow, I shook my rearview mirror off!

Good Amp

I'd have to agree with the other guy, JL IS PRICEY. I was always against them because of that but my buddy let me have this amp and im actually very pleased by it. It pushes my 2 MA HK 8's just fine. Both of them have an RMS of 400 and im getting a good pump out of them so im not complaining about this amp. If you have the money and dont have a crrrazzyyy system but just have some bump then id say try this amp on for size. I think you'll like it.

this amp is sweet. i have 2 kicker l5 12 inch. they will knock your pecker in the dirt. for a 250 watt amp it kicks like a donkey.
