I have been a JL fan for quit some time. Have heard some good things about these 6x9 n just had to get me pair for the corolla. They sound really nice very good detail in the music gives a warm feeling when u listen to them. These might be entry level speakers, but you can't beat them for the price.

I was JL Audio's absolute biggest fan until I bought these speakers. The highs sound pretty good and the bass gets about as low as you expect a 6x9 to get. BUT, the mids to me were absolutely horrible! On some songs, they were ok, but if anybody but a woman is in the song, the voice is inaccurate and scratchy. Also, although the bass CAN get semi deep, it is not clean bass at all. My previous speakers were Kenwood 6x9's and I can honestly say they were every bit as good as these for half the price. OVERALL: These speakers are a step up from factory and better than the speakers you can buy at Wal-Mart. But believe me, for the price, you can find a lot better sound quality speakers (I have). Needles to say, I sent these speakers back within days of installing them. JL Audio's door speakers are not on par with their other products.

Needed a little rear fill for my regular cab Tundra and thought these might fit the bill. Ordered the JLs and purchased a set of wedged mdf boxed from Sonic to put them in.
Got them hooked up to my Pioneer AVH-P4300DVD and I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed in their sound. I'm assuming it's because they're in such small boxes but WOW they sound horrible.
Planning on upgrading to the JL XD400/4 amp to see if that wakes these speakers up.

I have 4 of these in my 300c. They are all installed behind the back seat head rests. On an orion hcca1000.4 these things are crazy loud and can be heard clearly from a long ways away. Mids/lows are incredible compared to any 6x9 i've ever heard personally.

These speakers sound great when paired with a 300w Slash V2 amp. They are pretty powerful and have a nice crisp sound. However, they aren't very durable, after about 3-4 months I had one of the tweeters explode.

I was skeptical at first because of the high price point compared to competitors but I read up on this product online and it got great reviews.
I decided to try it for myself and I have not been dissapointed. The low notes are defined and the high notes are pitch perfect.
I love these speakers and you should try them for yourself.

Saw some bad reviews on this product my customer wanted these 6x9 speakers. I installed them on a skar audio 4 channel amp. These speakers are loud , clear, and very accurate. These speakers must be amped at least 85x4. I've been a installer since I was 16 years old. Now I'm 51 years old and still love installing.

Nice looking speakers fit in the factory location of my 2004 dodge 2500, the front doors, and sounds way better than stock. Stock was infinity from the factory and this is one hell of an upgrade. Bass is good and response is great, thanks to sonic electronics for the great price and fast shipping. I have always done business with sonic and will continue to do so.

Was sent wiring harness for speakers in dash instead of speakers in door. Had to cut wiring to work.
Should not have sent tweeter wiring harness for dash when 6x9's are clearly for front doors.

I replaced my JBL 6"- 9" door speakers (4 in total) with these and couldn't be happier. I have two pioneer 500 watt amps (1 per pair) and they sound amazing. Not to take anything from JBL but these things go above and beyond. I read a lot of reviews and there were a few negative ones and for those I would just like to say maybe have your ears checked. These things sound amazing. Crisp detail in every way. I drive a 4 door Ram full size truck with 4 of these JL Audio, 1 in each door, and one 10" Skar subwoofer under the back seat hooked to a 2500 watt monoblock amp. I'm at a loss for words on how bad ass my system sounds and hits now. I'm sorry but I must brag.
BEST DAMNED 6X9'S I've found to date! Bar none!
I've had plenty of 6x9s from the cheapest Pyle's you could get to the infinity Kappa 6x9s. I even had a few sets of clarion 7+ way 6x9's (for the price the clarions were bangers for sure) but NOTHING has compared to the sound quality I've gotten from these JL'S. PERFECT highs, good mids and mind blowing lows from a plain old coaxial speaker. I used to be a Infinity guy not after these. Just these alone in a rear deck mounting will give you the feeling and sound of a small set of subs in the trunk. I've put mine through YEARS of hell and back and they still sound decent (one has the tweeter going out so it's not as sharp anymore) I would love nothing more than to buy a few more sets of these to install in my new build. But sadly $$$ aint coming the way it used to????. But maybe some day I might get the chance to get a few fresh pairs and have back ups. Infinity kappa 6x9's SCREAMED to the point of being ear piercing and and sorta punishment to listen to at the volumes I liked, but retained their clarity with very little bass in comparison to the JL'S. They also didn't hold up very well to high volume use (yes they were connected to a amp of proper power) Even the Clarion 6 or 7 way 6x9's sadly held up better through time and had more bass then the infinity (yes I know Infinity is all about clarity) To me, The JL's were far better balanced and just sounded far better to me for my application. Until something can change my mind. I'm JL for life!
Wow
Just love everything JL Audio. And the price was good.
Excellent UPGRADE from the JL Audio C1-690TX!!!
I just bought these to replace my blown JL Audio-690TX and was hesitant at first due to some of the negative reviews.
My son and I installed them last weekend and I finally got a chance to crank them up on the way home from work tonight.
I absolutely LOVE them!!!
Compared to the ones I replaced--the "C2" version of this speaker is an excellent UPGRADE overall:
* These sound LOUDER--seemingly requiring less power to drive them.
* They fit PERFECTLY in the opening of my front door--only needing a washer at each corner to snug them up just right.
* The silk dome tweeters provide a very SMOOTH listening experience that is not overpowering at
all.
* I can hear much more DETAIL in all of my music and am able to distinguish the SEPERATION of
sounds and all the many intricate things in my music that I hadn't known were there in the first place.
* The BUILD of the C2 has a rubber cover to protect the wiring and the magnet itself that the C1 just
didn't have --you can just see and feel the difference between the two when you hold them in
your hands.
My system consists of:
2017 Ram Quad Cab 4X4
JL Audio 5-Channel "Class D" 1000W Amp; 2 each JL Audio 10" Boxed Together Subs (under my rear seat), JL Audio C2-690TX (front door) Speakers and JL Audio C1-690TX (rear door) as a matched JL Audio System all around and let me tell you that it sounds really great!!!
I just wanted to let everyone "on the fence" to know that these things KICK SOME SERIOUS ASS and can handle just about anything you throw at them with NO PROBLEM!!!
Perfect for soundbar
With a little modification, these work great in a jeep soundbar. Much better than the tiny factory speakers.
