AMAZING with the right amp.

I picked up this box with the JL Splash 500/1 mono amp for $350. I know, STEAL of a deal. Threw 'em in my '98 Jetta (known for their large trunks) and tuned the system to match. Face the speakers toward the back of the car and I promise, you won't be disappointed. They were almost as good as my friend's single 12" W7! Once I set the filters and got everything up and running, dubstep was turned on and I put a few people in the car and it made their hair move up front. Also, the bass was so responsive that it kept up to the 140bpm going from high 20kHz waves to 60Hz and everything in between in a flash. Think of it this way, that's with the gain set at around 40%, and only running 250w RMS to each speaker (half of what they're rated for)!!!

Completely a worthy buy. My friend's W7 blew so he picked this box up after a short sound check and drove off. hahaha Now I'm doing a custom ported box with one 10w6 so I can use the amp more effectively.

Just amazing.

I've had these for about six months now, I'm powering them with a JL Audio 500/1v2 amplifier, and I've never been happier with any other subwoofer system I've ever heard. I've paired these up with JL's VR-series speakers in my vehicle, and even at high volume, they stay very punchy and very composed. These woofers will handle just about anything you throw at them: rock, rap, hip-hop, techno, etc. and do it with a smile on their face.

YESWINYES

Sampled these IN A STORE, with a an open wall going into their 3 car install garage, that had the doors open. It bumped, HARD. And for being ported, it was surprisingly clear. I was in there for an hour listening to different subs, everything from a Kicker 15" l7 to Boston 12" subs, this set up was better than any other I've EVER heard. Put this in a car and you're gonna want to turn it down!
