awsome!!!!!

This amp pushes 1000 watts the whole time!! Its built strong and will last a lifetime. Ive had it for about 8 months now and not a single problem, great amp!

Best Monoblock Amp

This amplifier is just sonically pristine it has lot's of power at almost any ohms and the bass crossover is just the best. it's parametric so it offers you divine control over your bass. Only a few other brands out there can match quality and power of this monoblock.

i paid for a jl 1000/1v2 from d***** c*** car audio back in april and here it is october and guess what! i still dont have the amp or my money back. anyways a month after i ordered from them i got fed up and ordered from here and got this amp 5 days from my order, thats fast service and i love this amp. i have it on 2 13w7s and its nice but i want a second one and when i buy one it will be purchased from these guys because i love the fast service. its all about service.

I would say this amp is crazy powerful and i love it with my 13.5 w6 d4's and it sucks all 190ccs's im giving it. rewired the whole car to 0 gauge and i love the dial ins. the rips system is good deal all around. i paid retail more than anyone would ever pay online but i like to purchase local and have a location to service my items, but regardless of price id do it again. i kinda like there line up of the new hd amps. pretty neat stuff.

Holy cow!!

This thing is incredible, simply put. I have this run to a 12w7 and its the clearest I've ever heard any music anywhere and its LOUD, I'm proud to say I have this thing and I want you to get it so you can hear it for yourself. Although the price is high, you gotta take the plunge and get yourself some real JL audio because you never heard music until you heard this.

Great desighn

This is a good amp, just pretty pricey as all JL products are. A friend runs this with 2 10" w7s and it pounds. They sound great! Another friend installed one in his car and the amp fried, quick! It was all his fault. He wired down to 1ohm and these amps are not 1ohm stable. He also had bad wiring and had the gain turned almost max! Lets just say, its a huge paperweight now. The RIPS technology is crazy. From 4-1.5ohm, you still get the same power! Other then the 1ohm stable part, good amp.

Incredible.

Such an incredible amplifier. The truest 1000 watts ive ever heard. Don't waste your time with Alpine mrp1000, and I'm a HUGE kicker fan but don't even waste your time with their zx1000.1 it just wont compare. This amp paired with a 13W7 talk about one of the cleanest/loudest single sub set up possible. This amp may be expensive but for what you get out of this amp, its not one bit overpriced.

Awesome Amp

This Amp rocks! This thing pounds out 1000watts all day long. Rock solid. You can make your subs sound any way you want with the incredible amount of "dial in" features on this amp. There are so many ways to "tweak" the sound of your subs, you can't go wrong with this amp.

jl 1000/1 is a monster

I bought one of these on eBay for a great price and there's no way I'd ever buy another brand again. The jl amps are true power and the price shows it. I used kicker, Fosgate, and hifonics but not anymore. I got 2 12" Fosgate power t1s on this amp, not only does rap music tear my car apart but so does fast beat metal, so clean, so good!

guys an girls if u have the money don't buy any other amp then this one! i have two of them to power my 4 12W7s an all of them hit hard as hell and everyone luvs the look of the amp with the subs! sooo, if u have the money an this is a great price for this amp get it or a few of them...u won't be disappointed when u hook it up

Bass hungry, power hungry

I have this amp for my JL 12W7. The amp pushes the sub great, and sounds awesome. If you want big bass, this is definitely the way to go. This amp will be able to keep up with almost anything you can throw at it. The amp powers the sub without a problem. The one downside of this amp though, is it is definitely power hungry. I mean, what do you expect from a 1000 watt amp, but I would recommend a battery or alternator upgrade to go along with this amp if you can afford it.

Awesome amp

I have owned two of these amps for about a year and they are awesome. They have great sound quality. I heard bass notes with this amp that i've never heard on my old one. For a while I had this ran on two T5 soundstream. They did great on my sound quality but for massive bass my 1606 Hifonics Brutus did better because I was able to wire it at 1 Ohm load pushing 1600 watts.

this amp is just one of those things all other companies envy. its perfect and if you have a 13.5 w7 or 12 w7 you cant get a better match for subs and amps.

JL vs Kicker

Lesson: you get what you pay for. I replaced my kicker kx750.1 for the 1000/1 to power my 12" L7. What a difference. Running my gain lower than I did with my 750, the sound level is higher but more importantly the sound quality is incredibly better. Tracks with low bass hits that made my L7 sound like crap now hit hard and sound great. What sucks is that I just installed the 750.1 a couple of months ago with the L7. I was pretty disappointed with the sub until I started doing some research and realized it could be the amp. Turns out it was.
On a side note, be aware that this amp draws a lot of power. The 1 farad capacitor that handled the 750.1 doesn't even come close to supplying enough power for the 1000/1. I just ordered a kinetic battery too keep up with this monster.

raw power

I would definitely recommend this amp. Problem with this amp that it really sucks out a lot of power from your car but if you give this amp the power it needs. It will blow out 500w speakers like nothing. I went through 4 15" in 4 months. Now have 2 1500w and sometimes it shuts down cause the speakers safety switch on d amp turns on to protect the speaker from blowin' out. Great and powerful amp !!!!!!

GREAT AMP

I had 2 of these amps 1 for each of my rf pp15's and let me tell you they pushed hard but it is not cost effective.great amp but over priced as all jl highend

You don't need two Battery's just up Grade the alt. and put the Hammer down, a extra Battery just add's weight to your car and make's your alt charge two Battery's.

wow! pumped my 13 w7 super nice beast.pros good looking amp,1000 watt rms,runs all day and barely gets toasty,love the rips technology.cons-jl is way to overpriced.this was my first big setup an i feel let down. there are way better amps and subs for way cheaper! like re,fi,sundown,dc,etc.just feel let down.great amp just not worth 700.

This is one of the best amps that you can get! The JL AUDIO 1000/1 is a serious amp for those, who are serious about music. I recommend this amp to anyone who's hungry for BASS!! At this price you couldn't ask for anything more, Thanks Sonic!!

Incredible Amp

If you need 1000 watts RMS buy this amp. Great Price, Great Value, awesome looks, and very flexible. Your subs will pound and you will not be dissapointed. Have this hooked up to 1 JL12W7 and my eyeballs shake.

BEST AMP EVER!

This is the BEST amp for the price bar-none. It is incredibly stable and consistently powerful from 4ohm all the way down to 1.5ohm. What other amp can consistently push a clean 1,000w through several different impadences than the Vslash? I have one of these monsters pushing two of my Rockford P3D4,12 wired 2ohm each 4ohm total and this amp makes these subs SWEAT HARD!! And they are both rated at 1,000w each!?!?! ALSO word to the wise before installing one of these beasts make sure to upgrade your battery and altinator and nothing under a 130AMP fuse just to be safe because it pulls stupid amounts of power. Also I have a 10farad cap feeding this amp and it sometimes even has a hard time keeping up, this is a serious amp that requires a serious power input. None of that w*****t or b**t b*y trash if you have the money for this amp you don't need to be cheap and skimp out on the wiring...

The new v2 models are great. They perform way better than the old jl1000s. I would recommend these to anyone.

Listen, if you're here reading this you've heard of the JL 1000/1. Its a legendary amp. I lusted after it for years, and finally broke down and bought one about 6 months ago.
I installed it for about 2 hours, then took it right out. Put it back in the box. and Began contemplating exactly what was needed to upgrade my car before i put the JL back in. The fuse rating is 100 in the manual, but dont get things confused, since this amp is regulated, its sucking more power from your vehicle.
At the time, i had 1 JL 450/4v2 and this JL 1000/1v2. It was absolutely DESTROYING my car. I dont have any electrical upgrades, i didnt need it before this amp. So that would be why.
If you plan on getting this, know that you will need at least 1 extra battery. Big 3 with a high output alternator is obviously the right way. But think about it before you buy.
That said, it sounds amazing. The JL slash amps are over rated according to everyone that tests them. ie, the 500/1 got about 650 watts, and im sure this is somewhere along those lines. 1100-1200 watts.
Its obscenely CLEAN, has loads of power, tons of tuning options. Excellent amp.

Awesome amp

I have this amp in my 04 dodge intrepid, it powers 2 12inch L7's in a ported box, and let me tell you it slams. This amp is a little pricey but worth every penny, the built in cross over is very nice allowing you to eliminate any weird clipping noises, strongly recommend this amp.

I LOVE THIS AMP , IT GETS HOT PRETTY QUICK BUT ITS SUMMER TIME, but they could add a a cooling fan , ITS REALLY WORTH THE MONEY I HAVE 2 on 2 12s w7s in my caddilac deville and first time i got it my ears was hurting all night lol true story

Hail the 1000/1

This amps is amazing. JL is the only company I have in my car. I have is amp and a W7 in my car it shakes it around. Is amp does kind of draw a lot of power but its a 1000 rms. I recomend this amp for anybody who wants big power.

Best 1000watt Subamp EVER!!!

AAAAAMAzing amp....went through 2 kicker 1500.1s which both went out on me and finally got this amp. I've had this JL for 6 months now and haven't had any problems at all powering my 2 12" L7s. It's pushing them perfectly and sounds great.

I would definitely recommend jl products for anyone looking for a good amplifier that lasts long.

this amp is great, it will make any sub bump to the limit. the price is a bit much but 100% worth it. i have four JL W3 running off this and its sick.

Fantastic Power Supply

I love this amp. I have 3 10w3v2's running off of this amp, and even though the ohm load isn't up to par with JL's recommendations, the subs still sound great, and the amp is easy to use, and very reliable! It's a pricey amp, but well worth the money

Unbelievable

This amp is among the top 3 with Zapco and Xtant, and at the current price, makes even thinking about the other 2 a dumb idea. Amazing output, amazing versatility, amazing amp. Very durable too. Worth every penny.

Amazing! Can't think of a better word.

I have owned 4 slash series amps:three 1000/1 and a 300/4. I have sold 2 of the 1000/1 because I am upgrading to the v2. I was very surprized with this amp. I have ran many systems on this amp alone: 15" 08 Kicker L7, 1 Jl 13w7, 3 Alpine type r 12", 2 soundstream T5 12. I recently owned a Memphis MCD-1500 and this amp actually pushed my subs harder and cleaner than it. I did not buy any of mine off the net but from a dealer but this is still a great price for this amp considering they were over 3700 for me.

The Best amp

This is by far the best amp I ever owned it has incredible power i have 3 12W6 V2 hooked up to it and it hits hard people can hear me blocks away, the best thing about this amp is that from 1.5 to 4 ohm it will still put out 1,000 watts no mather what not like others, if you have the money dont settle for anything else and get this amp.

worked good for 6 months.

I bought this amp used for $400 on Craigslist years ago. It had pretty good sound was was extremely powerful. Was popping my 100amp fuses nonstop. I don't know if the guy I bought it from ghetto rigged it or what, but it lasted 6 months then had an internal fire. I also was told from a car-toys worker that the same thing happened to his 1000/1. I also have a friend who had the 250/1 installed by car-toys under warranty and he had about 3 replaced. So maybe it was a defective product and the v2 is different I don't know. It's a lot of money to have burned away though.

Definately worth the money

This amplifier is amazing, not only does the R.I.P.S. technology allow it to self adjust to any ohm independence between 1.5 and 4 to put out a 1000W RMS, but it looks great too. The bass output is so clear, even at high volumes, and the built in equalizer helps in keeping your subwoofer safe from frequencies out of its reproduction range. Definitely THE best amplifier I have used, a little expensive, but if you save up it is worth it.

I have one of these running 2 JL 12w6. The power is clean and the flexibility is awsome. It really runs a clean 1000watts rms. Great buy and reliability. JL amps are all I will ever use.(I also own a JL 300-4)

technical difficulties

I got my JL Audio 1000/1watt class D amplifier.This is my first rodeo ever with JL so I purchased this amp andsandsubs off of craigslist.I noticed it has four light on it 1 power , 2 Thermal, 3 not sure, 4low voltage .Ok on mt amp both1&3 stay on why is that.Also nothing had attempted to come out my subs.What is #3 and my powerwire is ean straight to my battery I know im suppose to have a fuse connected to my powerwire connecting to my battery.if that fuse link is not hooked up will it nit work

This amp puts out the cleanest 1000watts I have seen. I have gone through numerous amps and this one will always be the best. The good thiing its 1000 watts from 1.5ohm all the way to 4ohms.

Amazing amp for the money. Fully adjustable and runs between 1 and 4 ohms. great amp, it automatically adjusts its ohm load. and is easily adjusted. This is worth the money for this amp.

This amp has all the power you need, but it's hell on your charging system if you dont have the correct setup. it is a great sound and looking amp with all the features you could ever want.
