Awesome!

I have always like the Arsenal line of car stereos by JVC and this one is no different! 5 Volt preamp outputs, you can't go wrong with that. USB input......love it! Just an overall solid head unit and for the price, definitely a great start to an awesome car stereo system!

Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!

I bought this from Sonic a bit back. The factory harness tip appears to have been messed up. After sending it back to sonic for testing (handled my RMA and shipping with great professionalism and courtesy) I got the tested unit back, snipped factory tip off and direct wired it. Works Beautifully! The sound quality is excellent, the FM reception is great, AM is a little spotty, but could just be where I live. Everything works as advertised, no issues with performance really. The only thing that I wonder about is the fact that when you turn the radio off (ignition or engine still running) the display is blank (no clock). Other than those 2 minor issues (AM & clock), I would rate this stereo 4.5 out of 5! But since i am only allowed to give full star ratings you'll only see a 4.

Excellent in everything I want it to do!

First, let me say that this is not my first purchase from Sonic nor will it be my last. I've always been pleased with their product, pricing and speed of delivery. Now onto the unit.

I bought this unit to replace the factory stereo in my son's PT Cruiser. With the dashkit and wireing harness provided. The actual "in the car" part took all of 20 min (We are running factory speakers right now). As for this particular model, I researched a bit before selecting it. ( I've purchased and installed near a dozen systems over the years and do know something about specs, features and quality.)

This unit seemed to have all the "gotta haves" in a good replacement stereo. i.e. Front load CD, multi format playback, simplified and well placed controls, Front USB & AUX as well as Ipod controls. The better than most FM section and S/N ration on the CD were also selling points. Lastly, little touch's like the muted "blends with dash" appearance, adjustable display color, 2x warranty, and included face plate case was like icing on the cake.

Once installed, it did everything we wanted it to and nothing we didn't . ( No interest in Blue tooth, XM or HD which require adapters) Most of all, it sounded great with whatever source he chose. Controls and menus were not hard to figure out either. I gave longevity a 5 only because of the Arsenal series having the extended 2 yr warranty (which says something about the company's confidence) and the fact that I'm still running the last JVC KD-700 I installed (in my truck) on a daily basis for almost 3 years now without a single wear/performance issue. . Lots of bang for the buck here!
